This is good to see. It’s much better than seeing George W. Bush reiterate that Islam is peace. But it still constitutes a refusal or inability to face the unpleasant truth. The desire to separate āIslamismā from āIslamā stems from nothing within Islam itself, but from the impulse of non-Muslim Westerners to regard Islam as a benign entity having to do purely with spiritual matters, and to exonerate Islam from the crimes done in its name and in accord with its teachings by consigning those to the realm of āIslamism,ā which is understood to be a certain adulteration or bastardization of the genuine, benign Islam. This is just wishful thinking on a grand scale.

Agree. Why is it so difficult to state facts about Islam, no radical this or terrorism or Al-Qaeda just the facts.
Islam over the centuries has virtually conquered the entire middle east using pograms and relentless subjugation of religious minorities. Islam, by savagely punishing apostasy and blasphemy, creates a culture of conformity and fear. It does not matter if individual muslims do not agree. They do not matter; they are irrelevant. The violent minority run Islam. It has always been that way.
We therefore should not pander to the silent majority or those claiming to be victims of our reactions to jihad. That is not the solution for the future of our republic. Speak the truth about Islam loudly and repeatedly. Keep it up every opportunity you have.
In this fight we owe a great debt of gratitude to Jihad Watch, Frontpage Magazine, Raymond Ibrahim, Andrew Bostrom, Bridget Gabriel and so many others you all know.

The major problem with RFK Jr’s denounciation is his use of the suffix: -ism appended to the noun Islam. It’s designed to soften our opinion of Islam and make allowances for the feelings of those Muslims all of which are part of the ummah but not engaging in violent jihad like their co-religionists. The uncomfortable truth, that most in the West won’t face, is that all Muslims are required to be involved in some way in bringing about a worldwide caliphate under sharia, whether by violent jihad or the jihad of just being the Muslim neighbor in your street. In this scenario of the worldwide Islamic caliphate, sharia will be the only law.
