Imam al-Zaman is the Twelfth Imam, who is, as Alam al-Huda explains here, in “occultation,” and will supposedly return at a time of great persecution of the Muslims.
Note that Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alam al-Huda, the representative of Iran’s supreme leader in Khorasan Razavi, says all this. The supreme leader himself, Mojtaba Khamenei, has not been seen since he became supreme leader. In any case, what Alam al-Huda is doing here is situating the Islamic Republic’s war against the U.S. and Israel as an Islamic jihad, a religious war, which would obligate the support and participation of all Iranians who consider themselves Muslims or who want to be considered Muslims. The implications of casting this war as an Islamic jihad have never been examined in Washington and are a matter of total indifference there, and yet they are the key to understanding the entire conflict from the point of view of the Islamic Republic. If the “experts” in the State Department wanted to fulfill the old adage “Know your enemy,” they would study Islam and jihad. But they will never do so, because they’ve been convinced that such study would be “Islamophobic.”
“Alam al-Huda: The people’s resistance is the greatest field of jihad against the enemy,” Taghrib News, September 20, 2026:
The representative of the Supreme Leader in Khorasan Razavi said: “The people’s resistance and steadfastness against the enemy is the greatest field of jihad and a factor in the enemy’s despair of disrupting the country from within.”
Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alam al-Huda, on Saturday evening at the 203rd night of the street gathering of the people of the Abd al-Muttalib district of Mashhad, while appreciating the valuable resistance and steadfastness of the brothers and sisters after 203 nights of holding these gatherings, stated: “These gatherings are a strong and powerful popular front against the enemy, and I hope that Almighty God will increase your strength, power of perseverance, and steadfastness so that these gatherings and resistances may remain sustainable until the final stage of the enemy’s destruction.”
Referring to the arrival of the anniversary of the birth of Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS), the father of Imam al-Zaman (AJ), he added: “Tonight is the night of the blessed birth of Imam al-Askari (AS), the father of Imam al-Zaman (AJ), and we have various relationships with tonight’s newborn. One relationship is from the sacred lineage of the Eighth Imam (AS), for tonight the fruit of the heart of Imam Reza (AS), namely Imam al-Askari (AS), was born. And the second relationship is that he is the father of Imam al-Zaman (AJ), who is our Imam, our refuge, our shelter, and our master today in all dimensions of life.”
Ayatollah Alam al-Huda continued: “Tonight, we honor the father of our living, present, and master Imam, who is the introduction to the birth and appearance of the sacred existence of our master Imam al-Zaman (AJ), and I congratulate this blessed Eid to all brothers and sisters.”
Stating that Imam al-Askari (AS), among the Infallible Imams (AS), had the main focus and mission of his Imamate as preparing the Ummah and the Shia for the long occultation of Imam al-Zaman (AJ), he stated: “The goal was that over many centuries and years, people could preserve their religious life and religious society during the occultation of their Imam.”…
He stated: “Today, we see that the field of expansion of the sacred Islamic Revolution is no longer only this country; rather, it has encompassed many countries, and a revolutionary society has been formed.”…

The United States and the State of Israel should definitely continue using the power of a strong military might against those savage despots of that “mullah regime’ of Iran.

Therefore using American Air Force and Israeli air force strikes against that dangerous tyrannical Islam of Iran is an action of basic self-defense.
As the fifth President of the United States, James Monroe, rightly and wisely, in a speech had declared, “The right to self-defense never ceases. It is among the most sacred, and alike necessary to nations and to individuals.”
