Pedro Sánchez is the socialist prime minister of Spain. His brother, David Sánchez, has recently been convicted of administrative misconduct, having been given a high-ranking post created solely for him, while Sánchez’s wife, Begoña Gómez, has faced an ongoing corruption investigation and charges, but has not been definitively convicted. His close political ally José Luis Ábalos, who previously served as a senior figure and secretary of the ruling Socialist Party (PSOE), was convicted of participation in a criminal organization, bribery, embezzlement of public funds, and influence peddling, and sentenced to 24 years in prison. And Abalos’s former longtime adviser, Koldo García, was also sentenced to 19 years in prison for his role in pocketing kickbacks from the scheme. Investigators are convinced that Pedro Sánchez himself will eventually be brought up on charges of corruption.
These convictions represent the first major verdicts involving members of Sánchez’s administration and immediate family. They have fueled intense calls from opposition parties demanding Sánchez’s resignation, though Sánchez has so far managed to hold on, while claiming that the allegations against his inner circle were the result of a politically motivated campaign.
Sánchez has now been facing Europe-wide condemnation for his mishandling of the Moroccans, 70,000 strong, who invaded the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, on the border with Africa. They arrived because they had learned that Sánchez had issued a Royal Decree that would “regularize” the half-million illegal migrants — overwhelmingly Muslim — then in Spain, making them “legal” with a stroke of his pen, and they hoped, once they were inside the Spanish territory of Ceuta, to be granted the same indulgence. The chaos those 70,000 would-be migrants caused in Ceuta, the crimes they committed while there, and the difficulty the Spanish police and army had in pushing them back inside Morocco — some 10,000 still remain in Ceuta —demonstrated Sánchez’s incompetence to the rest of Europe, and led Italy to reimpose Schengen border controls with Spain. Sánchez sought to blame someone other than himself for the mess his new policy on regularizing “illegals” created, and naturally, he landed on his favorite punching bag — the state of Israel.
More on Sánchez’s attempt to blame Israel for the fiasco in Ceuta can be found here: “Sánchez’s Scapegoat: How Spain Uses Israel to Mask Its Border Crisis,” by Amine Ayoub, Algemeiner, September 10, 2026:
When tens of thousands of unauthorized migrants crossed into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in late July 2026, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez faced a catastrophic breakdown of border control and European confidence.
Rather than taking responsibility for domestic policies that created massive pull factors along the North African frontier, Sánchez turned to an old political tactic: blaming Israel.
In a public statement that drew immediate condemnation from Jerusalem, the Spanish leader claimed that digital networks linked to Israel and Russia spread online hoaxes that exacerbated the post-crisis fallout.
This unsubstantiated charge, framed around vague references to European External Action Service research, was not a credible intelligence finding. It was a calculated attempt to deflect attention from Spain’s border failures and mounting diplomatic isolation.
Sánchez’s reflexive accusations against Israel are the culmination of a long-standing ideological campaign. Over the past several years, Spain’s left-wing coalition government has sought to position itself as Western Europe’s most belligerent critic of the Jewish State.
Madrid unilaterally recognized a Palestinian state, imposed a strict arms embargo on Israel, placed severe restrictions on port docking and transit for Israel-bound military and defense shipments, and repeatedly accused Israel of genocide as its forces defended their nation against terror.
Operating under the naïve assumption that anti-Israel virtue-signaling carries no international cost, Madrid systematically eroded its security relations with Jerusalem while expecting its own strategic vulnerabilities in North Africa to remain insulated from regional geopolitics….
The security ties with Israel, which Sánchez has now ended, were responsible for saving Spanish lives, as Mossad warned Madrid about terrorist plots that were to be carried out on Spanish soil.
No one, not even those European states most hostile to Israel, believes that Israel had anything to do with causing the mayhem in Ceuta, and everything to do with Sánchez’s “regularizing of illegals.” By making his baseless charge Pedro Sánchez has deepened the hostility toward him felt not just by Israel, but even more importantly, by Washington. And as journalists in Madrid have been predicting, it might not be long now before the Guardia Civil comes knocking at the Palace of Moncloa to take away for questioning the man at the center of Spain’s spider web of corruption, the Israel-hating Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.

This is a very morally stupid man and perhaps stupid in all categories (as Napoleon observed, stupidity in politics is not a handicap—look as an example here in America with someone like AOC).
Sanchez is exactly the kind of person Europe and all the West does not need, does not need at all. Such people as this completely underwhelming man is a major reason, arguably the single greatest reason, why the West is in such trouble in this sad-ass era in which we live.

Another virtue-signaling, totalitarian, Leftist trash who allies with Islam’s Muslims against Non-Muslims to gain more taxpayer money, more political power, and more government control. Like Leftists, Islam’s Muslims are a spiritual seed of the Serpent with Muslim discrimination, segregation, hatred, violence and terrorism(Genesis 3:15) as taught in Islamic Law and in Islam’s Qur’an(Qur’an 9:5, 29, 41, 111; 49:15, etc.). No Public Funding should be given to Islam and its Organizations including Mosques and Muslim Schools because they fund, teach, and promote acts against the USA Constitution and Western Constitutions including discrimination, segregation, violence, and terrorism against women, children, and Non-Muslims.
Actually, Islam is the daily practice of Islamic Law, Sharia, which is created from the Qur’an, the Sira, the Hadith, the Tafsir, the Tarikh, past Islamic Legal Rulings, etc to solidify power and control. Furthermore, Muslim Islamization includes Muslim Criminal-Terrorist-Gang Organizations using Governments, Bureaucracies, Mosques, Muslim Homes, Muslim Schools, Halal Organizations, Islamic Centers, Sharia Courts, Muslim Non-Profits, etc. to fund, to educate, and to support Islam Law and Muslim Propaganda against all Non-Muslims(Qur’an 1:5; 3:51, 101, 118; 5:3, 48; 8:60, 45:18; 48:29, etc.).

Everyone else in Europe, regardless of what they think of either Israel or Russia, recognizes that Russia and Israel are on opposite sides in their respective current wars, due to Ukrainian drones destroying Iranian ships carrying stuff to Russia. In fact, since Zelenskyy is the first world leader to recognize Reza Pahlavi as the legitimate leader of Iran, one of the speculations doing the rounds was for Ukrainian drones to help neuter IRGC and Basij forces so that the Iranian people could pull off their uprising
Sanchez just demonstrates how stupid he is by claiming that both Jerusalem & Moscow ran false-flag ops against him. Those 2 countries haven’t been on the same side in most issues or conflicts, except maybe Hungary and Libya. Right now, Russia is fighting a life & death battle against Ukraine, while Israel, while grappling w/ both Fatah & Hamas, is now trying to figure out how to secretly enable the toppling of the islamic regime ☫.. Destabilizing Madrid is the last thing either would be interested in, since Madrid does that perfectly well on its own

How did little Israel–on the other side of the Mediterranean–have anything to do with Muslim thugs invading Cuetta–or Spain handling this invasion so poorly? What absolute claptrap.
