Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, who has a long record of obsessive hostility toward the Jewish state, has told the state broadcaster NMK that he is considering banning all trade with Israeli “settlements” in Judea and Samaria (a/k/a the West Bank). So far, so milibandish, but he adds a further fillip that the British government so far has not announced: those who violate the ban and do that terrible thing by, for example, buying oranges grown, or batteries built, in Judea and Samaria, will face prison time of up to three years.

More on this travesty can be found here: “Norway weighing bill imposing up to 3 years in prison for trade with settlements, East Jerusalem, FM says,” by Nava Freiberg, Times of Israel, September 14, 2026:
Norway is weighing legislation this fall banning trade with Israeli settlements and providing for penalties of up to three years in prison for violations, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide tells state broadcaster NRK, prompting backlash from Israel’s embassy in Oslo.
“The arguments [in support of the bill] have only become stronger because the situation in the West Bank has become even worse. In addition, so many other countries are now doing the same thing the government has already proposed through this bill,” Eide tells NRK in a Norwegian-language interview.
The trade ban law, which would apply to individuals and companies trading with settlements, according to NRK, follows the United Kingdom’s newly announced wide-ranging sanctions package against Israeli West Bank settlements last week. Norway, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden issued a joint statement shortly after expressing their intentions to take or support similar measures.
Apparently none of these European countries, so eager to punish the Jewish state, cares to study the Israeli claim to Judea and Samaria, places where Jews have lived for 3500 years, where Jewish history was made, and which the League of Nations had assigned for inclusion in the Mandate for Palestine, which was eventually to become the Jewish state. It’s amazing how these Europeans, so intent on undermining Israel, have refused to consider — or perhaps they simply choose to ignore — this history.
It is also amazing that merely by constant repetition of the mantra about “a two-state solution,” we are expected to believe, by sleight of word, that there is a solution to the permanent jihad against Israel. Only those ignorant of the texts and teachings of Islam could believe that forcing Israel to be squeezed back within the 1949 armistice lines, leaving it with a nine-mile-wide waist from Qalqilya to the sea, would bring peace. There is no “solution” to the jihad against Israel, but there is one way to prevent open warfare, which is deterrence. That is, Israel has to remain militarily stronger than its enemies and perceived as such. It’s the same way that peace between the U.S. and the Soviet Union was maintained during the Cold War.
“Israel has become far too accustomed to being able to intimidate Western countries by saying they were antisemites if they criticized Israel for abuses and violations of international law. Now the [protective cover] that Israel has in many ways enjoyed is gone,” Eide says.
Nonsense. Israel does not intimidate Western countries. Those countries have been lining up, one after the other, to recognize a “state of Palestine.” And they’ve now started to boycott goods from Judea and Samaria. As for Eide’s nauseating remark that Israel calls people antisemites if they dare to criticize Israel, that’s nonsense. I don’t think Israel makes that charge often enough. To describe Israel as deliberately committing “genocide,” to compare Israel to the Nazis, or to even say that “Israel is worse than the Nazis” (a charge that the squawking actor Wallace Shawn makes) can only be the hideous work of “antisemites.” Or has the Norwegian Minister not noticed the epidemic of antisemitism throughout the Western world — the physical attacks on Jews walking on streets, in schools, in kosher restaurants, at pro-Israel marches, the maniacal verbal attacks on the Jewish state as the fount of all evil?
So many people are completely unwilling to learn about Israel’s claim, based on 3,500 years of Jews living in Judea and Samaria, to those areas. Just as infuriating, they are unwilling to recognize that the international law they keep claiming Israel is violating does, in fact, support Israel’s claim to Judea and Samaria. They refuse to recognize that he relevant international law rests on the League of Nations’ Mandate for Palestine, which included Judea and Samaria in the territory of the Mandate. And the successor organization to the League of Nations, the UN, in Article 80 of the UN Charter, committed itself to complete the task of bringing all of the mandates that were still in effect to their intended end. There was only one Mandate, the Mandate for Palestine, that at the time the UN was founded was still in force, not having yet led to an independent Jewish state. And the UN’s commitment was clear: Judea and Samaria were to part of the forthcoming Jewish state. But like Ed Miliband, Norwegian Foreign Minister Eide apparently is unaware of any of this. Why?
I wonder if there will come a time when the Norwegian people will regret the implacable hostility of their government toward Israel, a time when the Norwegian army will be banned from buying Israel’s air defense systems and Mossad will no longer be willing to share information with Norwegian security forces about terrorist groups and plots in their country.

Basic unalterable, non-negotiable FACT: According to Islamic teaching, “final, perfect, complete and unchangeable” for 1400 years, any “Palestinian State” exists for the sole purpose of exterminating not only the Jewish State, but EVERY Jew everywhere. And then all other Infidels. Read and learn for yourself if you do not already know.

Exactly Frank, that is their real ambition and almost every muslim know’s this, the problem is the majority of Jews and infidels are still in the dark.

We agree. From my other comments, you should be able to tell that I bought the GWB “Religion of Peace” LIE for about 6 years until Robert Spencer appeared on Fox’s Glenn Beck show and taught me differently. That was about 20 years ago. Since then, I have read, commented and thought here and elsewhere and been asked to leave several “communities” for talking about things that disturbed them.

They can display that slogan on their pre-printed placards, along with their stylish keffiyahs, when out marching in favor of Hamas, and in support of a second Holocaust of the Jews.

In August 2006, the writer Jostein Gaarder published an op-ed in Aftenposten, titled God’s Chosen People. It was highly critical of Israel, as well as Judaism as a religion. Allegations of antisemitism and an intense public debate resulted in the Jostein Gaarder controversy.
In December 2008, Imre Hercz filed a complaint to the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission against Otto Jespersen, a comedian who mocked the Holocaust, but fellow comics and his TV station backed the performer.
Jespersen joked on national television in his weekly routine that
“I would like to take the opportunity to remember all the billions of fleas and lice that lost their lives in German gas chambers, without having done anything wrong other than settling on persons of Jewish background.”
Jespersen also presented a satirical monologue on antisemitism that ended with
“Finally, I would like to wish all Norwegian Jews a Merry Christmas – no, what am I saying! You don’t celebrate Christmas, do you!? It was you who crucified Jesus,”
on 4 December.[69] Jespersen has received criticism for several of his attacks on social and ethnic groups as well as royalty, politicians and celebrities, and in defence of the monologue TV 2 noted that Jespersen attacks in all directions, and that “if you should take [the monologue] seriously, there are more than just the Jews that should feel offended”.[70]
as of 2012 there are 747 Jews in Norway.

Jews at the time of Jesus lived in occupied Israel controlled totally by Rome. The Roman Governor owned the vestments, ritual clothing, that made the High Priest and all the other religious officials. If they failed or refused his orders, they were gone. Jews had no authority, to crucify or punish anyone. According to Jews, God and History, millions of Jews were crucified by Romans.
In MY opinion, to which few agree, The Temple was destroyed by Jews sick of being Roman slaves controlled by their puppets. The Roman slaughter of Jews continues to this day.

In theory, people will more easily believe a big lie than a smaller one, because most people assume that there is evidence to support any statement of great magnitude.

I was reading an article about MI’s attorney general and her speech to an audience of Jews. nessel, is of course, a Jew (at least in body and heritage)
she did a devil thing, like what he did when trying to get Jesus to do wrong.
(Matt 4:4)
From the article :”Queen Esther saved her people. Michigan’s attorney general just threw them under the bus by Yaakov Menken, Washington Examiner”
I have read the Book of Esther many times. She was a good and brave, faithful and trusting of her God, woman. She risked her personal life in order to give her nation of people a chance to go on living.
nessel, with her speech and her perverted use of Esther’s actions, is not a woman of faith, nor a woman with morals.

It is interesting to note that God is not mentioned even once in the book of Esther. One has to read between the lines that all the improbable occurrences that saved Mordechai, Esther and the Jewish people were woven together by a supreme being.

2000 years of Roman teaching. Jews were the only community to fight the Romans THREE times, killing many Roman soldiers and being slaughtered in the millions. Reading Jews, God and History, by Rabbi Max Dimont is a good start on what was happening around the time of Jesus. I then suggest reading Who Wrote the New Testament by Burton Mack to see how it was developed and negotiated for almost 300 years when Emperor Constantine seized Christianity to control Rome. Rome hated and feared Jews because they resisted. That hatred and fear continues today. Why is it so easy for the Pope to cater to Muslims in spite of thousands of Christians being murdered? Jews are not killing Christians: Muslims are.
Please also consider the German “passion play” at Oberammergau which continues the false blame of Jews for the killing of Jesus. Deuteronomy 24:16 says the father shall not be held for the sins of the son, nor shall the son be held for the sins of the father. Yet, according to the play and much Christian teaching Jews confess responsibility for the killing of Jesus for all time and every generation.
