In Terminello v. City of Chicago (1949), Supreme Court Associate Justice Robert Jackson wrote:
“The choice is not between order and liberty. It is between liberty with order and anarchy without either. There is danger that, if the court does not temper its doctrinaire logic with a little practical wisdom, it will convert the constitutional Bill of Rights into a suicide pact.”
It has also been said that some Muslims don’t want to kill infidels. They just want other Muslims to do it for them.
There are certainly Muslims that don’t want to kill anyone, nor do they want other Muslims to kill anyone. The horror of it is they’re not living the text and intention of their faith, and Muslims that are think them apostates and do want to kill them.
While the First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, we now must determine how far that freedom goes and whether it amounts to a civilizational suicide pact. In his Notes on the State of Virginia, Thomas Jefferson wrote:
The error seems not sufficiently eradicated, that the operations of the mind, as well as the acts of the body, are subjects to the coercion of the laws. But our rulers can have authority over such natural rights only as we have submitted to them. The rights of conscience we never submitted, we could not submit. We are answerable for them to our God. The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg….
According to Jefferson, “it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god.” That’s not how Muslims see things. The mere existence of non-Muslims harms them, and when in a position to rule over Infidels, they offer them only three alternatives: death, or conversion to Islam, or the permanent status of dhimmis, with a host of legal, economic, and social disabilities, including the onerous capitation tax known as the “jizyah.” They are determined to ensure, as Mohammed said, that “Islam is to dominate and not to be dominated.”
It’s always best to listen to people, and to believe them, when they very clearly express their intention to enslave or kill you. Islam is fundamentally and violently incompatible with Western Civilization, and particularly America, which Islamists call the “great Satan.” That’s not just rhetoric of the kind American politicians lob and forget.
We must decide, and soon, if a “religion” that preaches slavery and mass slaughter of those who refuse to convert is compatible with American religious liberty. The answer will define, and potentially, end us.

The man is right; what he says is Truth.
If muzzies were content with practicing their belief system (it is not “faith”) and not insistent on forcing everyone into their mold, they wouldn’t be following the demands of their so-called prophet. If they are truly muzzie, they insist that they have the *right* to bully everyone else, extort and even murder those who disagree.
In the article, we are informed that some ‘don’t want us dead.’
The problem with that is, we can’t know who those ones are.
Another problem is, they may become more ‘devout’ and want us dead at their hands.
And since they don’t shout from the rooftops that their fellow muzzies *do* want us dead, and help us avoid that, they are helping to spread the islime of the muzzies who are willing….and eager….to send us to a long dirt nap.
In the U.S. criminal justice system, it is possible to be charged with a crime when one has taken no part in committing the crime.
For example: if children are abused in a home where several adults live, the adults who just stand by and allow the abuse are usually charged with the crime, along with the perps. If the LE and prosecutor are doing their jobs properly, all of the adults will be charged. because they don’t stop the abuse or report it.
so, muzzies who may not want to murder others, are still part of the problem because they are ‘in a house’ where the willing murderers grow in strength and numbers. And they don’t do anything to stop it.

Terminello v. City of Chicago was a 5-4 decision and Justice Jackson was writing for the minority.
“Arthur Terminiello was a controversial figure and a provocative speaker. He was a strong critic of the New Deal. He opposed U.S. entry into World War II. And his speeches often traded in vitriolic rhetoric, conspiracy theories, and antisemitism. In 1946, he spoke at an auditorium in Chicago. As was often the case with Terminiello, his speech attracted a large crowd of both supporters and protestors. Police were called in to try to keep the peace. The scene eventually turned violent, and the police went on to arrest Terminiello for his role in inciting the crowd. He was convicted of disorderly conduct, and his case later reached the Supreme Court. There, the Justices had to weigh the importance of free speech against the government’s interest in maintaining order. In a 5-to-4 decision, the Supreme Court threw out Terminiello’s conviction. In his majority opinion, Justice Douglas concluded that protestors should not have a “heckler’s veto” over the content of a controversial speech and that the government should not shut down speech just because it offends the audience. There have been many First Amendment cases decided since then. The current law is that there is free speech as long as there is no threat of imminent incitement to violence.
I would advocate the Supreme Court overruling its precedent and adopting Justice Jackson’s dissent as the law.

Yes. That “imminent violence” part of the decision in Brandenburg v. Ohio is a high bar.

In Indonesia, people seem to be in peace among inter faith most of the time. But, deep inside, both muslims and non muslims know what is really happening, there is no real peace. So, when something happens, I mean when the muslims have a chance to create an incident, in many cases the non muslims will be attacked even if they have nothing to do with the event.
In recent years, though, I think Islam is losing steam for two reasons, first the economic issue becomes the main concern because people are having difficult time earning money, and they realize that it is not the non muslims (Chinese) that is causing the problem. Second, with the internet, many musims are becoming aware that Islam is not as what they have been taught, so probably many young people are abandoning Islam, although not formally.
But sill, when Islam exists, there won;t be any permanent peace.

Its so glorious to read someone telling the truth about this all-important issue. Muslims who hold up their hands and proclaim disingenuously with vomitus contempt for truth “not in my name” manage to fool most of humanity into thinking they are the real ‘authentic ‘ Muslims. I am so sick of idiots judging Islam by nice moderates and failing to understand that the really authentic Muslims are the extremists and hardliners. These nasty individuals best reflect the whole hate-filled theology of the Koran, and regard moderates correctly as apostates or fake Muslims whose faith has been diluted by goodie-goodie Christian governments telling them the myth, both they and all kumbaya Muslims want to believe – that Islam is a religion of peace and compassion! Yuk!
