For the past twenty years, Hezbollah has been digging in the earth and building a vast tunnel network beneath the Al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, and filling it with a command-and-control center, living quarters complete with a kitchen and shower, for hundreds of terrorists, and with huge quantities of weapons. It was from these tunnels that Hezbollah terrorists planned to emerge to attack the Galilee. Now the Israelis, using more than a thousand tons of explosives, have blown the whole thing up. More on the IDF’s latest achievement can be found here: “IDF blows up Hezbollah’s ‘strategic’ complex beneath south Lebanon’s Ali Taher Ridge,” by Emanuel Fabian and Jacob Magid, Times of Israel, September 11, 2026:

Using 1,100 tons of explosives, the Israeli military said on Thursday that it had demolished a “strategic” underground facility belonging to the Hezbollah terror group beneath a mountainous ridge in southern Lebanon.
The Ali Taher Ridge is located within Israel’s southern Lebanon buffer zone, near Nabatieh. According to the Israel Defense Forces, the tunnel systems under Ali Taher served as the “nerve center” of the terror group’s Badr regional division — a unit tasked with the area of southern Lebanon that is north of the Litani River.
Last week, the military said it had completed capturing and clearing out the tunnel system of Hezbollah operatives, killing some of them while others fled.
Iran ostensibly warned the US that it would respond to any Israeli offensive against the Hezbollah facility beneath the hill, according to a report by Reuters last week, although that came after the IDF had already captured and cleared the site….
The IDF has blown the Hezbollah tunnel network built under the Ali Taher Ridge to kingdom come, but the Iranians have yet to make good on their promise to respond. Could it be that Tehran is terrified of what the IDF would then do in return? Notice how Iran has struck all of its Gulf neighbors — Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, as well as Jordan, but has not tried to strike Israel since June 4, when all of its missiles were intercepted and the IDF launched a lethal retaliatory strike.
Meanwhile, a US State Department official says in a statement to querying reporters that Washington is closely monitoring “calls from Southern Lebanon, where people are demanding their government assert sovereignty and stop Hezbollah from firing and storing weapons in their communities.”
“We applaud those communities and support the Government of Lebanon’s receptiveness to their requests,” the official continued. “We urge the Government of Lebanon to formulate a plan for disarmament in all Lebanese territory, as laid out in the Trilateral Framework.”
The Lebanese National Army, though it has received massive infusions of American weapons, still has been cautious about attempting to disarm Hezbollah. So far, it has destroyed large caches of Hezbollah weapons, but has yet to physically confront Hezbollah to hand in the weapons its members are carrying.
The IDF, meanwhile, has just dealt a massive blow to Hezbollah, destroying its largest network of tunnels, that took the terror group twenty years to construct, and blowing up massive amounts of its weapons. That’s the IDF’s answer to these threats from Hezbollah and Iran: smithereens.

Doesn’t matter what Israel does. This capture of Ali al Taher Ridge, and its destruction, w/ both Hizbullah and IRGC fighters in it, has completely destroyed Hizbullah: now, the islamic regime’s main foreign resource is the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Front
Despite that, the Lebanese Army is incapable of policing the area. I still support Israel annexing all of south Lebanon – south of the Litani river

It’s a very practical military action to take to blow those dangerous and death inflecting Muslim terrorists mole rats out of their jihad tunnels.
This is because use of the armed might is the way to defeat the murderous Muslim terrorists of Hezbollah. This is because the Muslim terrorists of Hezbollah will not reason to reason or logic. The only language that they are able to understand is the language of the strong of might of the power of the Israel Defense Force.
In addition, there is much good solid valid sense in the wisdom of the statement apply to the Israel Defense Force pounding down with much military might of Hezbollah. The statement is “Half-measures in war is both folly and madness.”

Hezbollah should be dealt with defeated and even destroyed by hitting it hard, hit it long and keep on hitting it with strong powerful forceful military strikes until it’s unable to raise up again with its ugly, vicious and deadly jihad Islamic head.
Therefore, the government authorities and officials of the State of Israel have a duty and responsibility to use sarong military force against Hezbollah to ensure the safety security and lives of the people who are citizens of that nation. It’s basic matter of self-defense.
As the fifth President of the United States, James Monroe, rightly and wisely, in a speech had declared, “The right to self-defense never ceases. It is among the most sacred, and alike necessary to nations and to individuals.”
