This creates an interesting situation. If these designations have any teeth, they will raise questions regarding how these organizations, particularly the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), are regarded nationwide. Will CAIR-Florida have to shut down? CAIR wields enormous influence among clueless and compromised politicians nationwide, as they court Muslim votes. Will politicians in other states think twice about appearing at Hamas-linked CAIR events since it is designated a terror organization in Florida? Or will they dismiss this as DeSantis’ political grandstanding? The latter is much more likely. Also, once DeSantis is out of office and the Democrats are back in charge, watch for them to lift these designations and turn around and designate some patriotic groups as terror organizations.
That’s not to say that DeSantis shouldn’t have done this. The question now, however, is what practical difference it will make.

Once an organization is declared to be a criminal….terrorist….organization, the members of said organization can be arrested, charged and tried for the crimes committed by the organization.

The vote comes after Texas and Florida labeled the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as foreign terrorist organizations last year, which forbids both organizations and their affiliates from purchasing or acquiring land in the states and allows increased enforcement against the groups.

Well for a second time and here it is: Islam is a religion, averring otherwise is a route to Nowheresville legally speaking, but it is also a totalitarian ideology and a terrorist ideology (e.g., Mohammed himself stated, “I have been made victorious with terror”—Bukhari Hadith 4.52.220).
Thus can be seen that the West (and much of the rest of the world) has a major problem on its hands, to put it mildly. Mankind got a simply awful religion which is also a totalitarian belief system and is enthralled with terror in order to promote its freedom-crushing ideas. Yes, I know Islam sucks but what is the optimal way for mankind to proceed, and especially those in the West, in dealing with this vile religion/totalitarian ideology/terrorist ideology?
And remember that here in America Marxism and Nazism are wretched belief systems as well but they are legal and so even if Islam could constitutionally be denied religious status (highly unlikely) it would still be a protected belief system even though a totalitarian ideology, one which endorses terror to advance its warped goal (N.B. any person asserting that Islam does not endorse terrorism and is a religion of peace, blah, blah, blah should be dismissed as either a liar or an ignoramus—putting people like Omar and Tlaib in the first category and Bush 43 and the present pontifex maximus in the latter category).
My approach to date is to acknowledge that Islam is indeed a religion but an evil one. This would entail here in America a major asterisk to the freedom of religion clause in the First Amendment and, frankly, I’m not sure how exactly this could be done. Oh yean, the ultimate parasite belief system, i.e., Islam, hiding behind its religious veil, will push what is left of free societies to the limit in the delicate balancing act of reconciling freedom, including religious freedom, with the absolutely most perfect totalitarian ideology of all time—and the chief reason above all other reasons why I despise Islam and why any adult who is willingly a Muslim in what is left of a free Western nation is a parasite. Including so-called moderate Muslims. No exceptions here, not one.
Ah, where to go from here? That is the question and said query must be answered not only with generalized assertions that Islam is not a religion. Such is, at best, only a starting point, if even this. Much, much more is needed. Much.
