DALLAS – As the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, former President George W. Bush reflected on his decision to visit a mosque six days after the attacks, saying he wanted Muslim Americans to know they were not to blame for the terrorism.
“This decision, shortly thereafter, was to go to a mosque,” Bush said on Wednesday evening. “I did so because I was deeply concerned about stories of women in coverings being harassed at shopping centers, particularly in Michigan.”
Bush revisited his 9/11 response during a conversation with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at “A Legacy of Service: America at the 25th Anniversary of 9/11,” held at his presidential center in Dallas….
Six days after the attacks, Bush visited the Islamic Center of Washington, where he declared, “Islam is peace.”
“It became clear to me that if this was an ideological struggle, which is what I viewed it as, and we forego one of the most important parts of our ideology, which is the freedom to worship the way you want to worship,” said Bush.
“I want you to talk about a couple of those events. You talked about going to the Islamic Center and trying to make sure that our Muslim American citizens knew that we didn’t blame them for what had happened,” said Rice.
“I also made it clear that Islam was a religion of peace, not a religion of war, and that these people subverted their religion,” Bush added….

My word, denial is not merely the river in Egypt. You’d think that with some 49,000 Jihadist attacks worldwide just since 9/11 that even the leaders would be able to show their concerns for the Jihadism of Islam, which is the religion’s core belief. That Jihadism is the source of those attacks, not some ‘bias’ or ‘colonialism’ of the west, of America, of Israel. Jihadism, AKA, the sword of Islam so self declared over and over and over and over and over and over, might you’d think lead that man to a firmer conviction- like the one that has for example, some 50,000 murdererd Nigerian Christians, amongst oh, so many others. What this shows is that G W Bush was and is completely over his head. He doesn’t have the mentality to be president of a 4th grade class. If he had educated himself and did some reading and studying about Islam, such as by reading Robert Spencer’s articles on Jihad Watch, he might have some understanding of the evil nature of “the religion of peace.”

It’s a good idea not to takin in by the other false claim of Bush that the word Islam means “peace.” For example, the ENCARTA WORLD ENGLISH DICTIONARY copyright 1999 defines Islam as “submission” based on the word “aslama” meaning “he surrendered.” Given the definition it’s an odd phenomenon that after about fourteen hundred years starting on September 12, 2001 the meaning changed from “submission” to “peace.”
It’s very well known that if the police are questioning someone and he changes his story something is wrong. Nevertheless, when it comes to Islam no one gets suspicious of the change. The jihadists brag that they will win the war against the West by using the Western ignorance and naive gullible mindset on the subject of Islam against us. It seems that they do have some basis in that claim since so many Westerners are beguiled by the Muslim disinformation campaign.

I did not know anything about Islam until 9/11 but a president with his resources should have known. He had a duty to the American people. He failed then and continues to fail.

One cannot hate George W Bush strongly enough. I am glad that I didn’t have the vote in 2000 and 2004, otherwise I would have voted for him. I just wish he could be tried for treason for allowing a whole bunch of Saudis to hightail it out of the US in the days following 9/11, when all air traffic had grounded to a halt. And then, while he has been leading a largely private life, he has the gall to come out and repeat the lies about islam, that have done untold damage to people in the West
