I am pretty sure that fans threw paper cups at him (possibly with beer) and not beer cans. All cans are prohibited from Yankee Stadium, and fans are screened upon entrance.
In any event, that was the wrong place and time (at Yankee Stadium.before a patriotic crowd during a subway series on the 25th anniversary of 9/11) for this Muzzie to pull that crap.
