The Israelis are monitoring the renewed activity of the Iranians at their nuclear facility inside Pickaxe Mountain, next to Natanz, and are planning a strike, should that prove necessary. Israeli officials believe that it’s only a matter of time until the resumption of strikes against Iran, according to a report by Saudi state-owned news outlet Al Hadath on Thursday.
The official told the outlet that the Israeli intelligence has detected an attempt by Iran to revive and activate its nuclear program in anticipation of a strike, following reports in Israel about the regime transferring its remaining nuclear project to Jabal al-Fas, near the Natanz nuclear facility.
The report also cited the official saying that Israel is “defensively and offensively prepared for the possibility of renewed war on Iran and on other fronts as well, at any time.”
“We will move to strike nuclear facilities and any site belonging to them again if Tehran crosses any of the red lines, whether with or without the participation of the US,” the official added.
The official also warned that the current economic sanctions taken against Iranian-linked entities are generating pressure in Tehran, causing internal division and domestic pressure. “These factors could push it [the Iranian regime] toward military responses in the region, including against Israel.”
A regime that is unpopular because of the collapsing economy might seek to change the subject, and win back public support through a military campaign billed as an attempt to “defend the Islamic Republic” from the wicked Zionists.
All the candidates in the Israeli election are in agreement on the measures that might need to be taken to prevent Iran from producing atomic weapons. They may disagree on everything else, but not on the need to prevent Iran from coming close to acquiring such a capability.
And even if the Republicans lose control of the House and Senate this November, Trump will still be president, and unlikely to soften his demand that Iran dismantle its nuclear program. In Israel, the leading opposition candidate, Gadi Eisenkot, has the same policy on Iran as does Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Israeli elections will not result in any change in the government’s policy, which is to ensure that one way or another Iran will not become a nuclear power.
On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting, Trump’s negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will meet Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Aragchi, and the farce of these renewed negotiations will continue. Iran will drag out the talks, even as back in Iran, the regime will continue to work furiously to revive its nuclear program. At some point, with or without the U.S., the IDF will conclude that Iran is getting too close to restarting its facility inside Pickaxe Mountain, and it will then again — but deadlier than in the past — be bombs away.

If Ayatollah Khomeini had clearly announced that “Those who know nothing about Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war….There are hundreds psalms and hadiths urging of Muslims to value war and to fight. …I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” [1] So if he was alive today who would spit on those Westerners who say that “Islam is a non-violent religion.” [1]
