Here again we see what nearly everyone in the West prefers to deny: that Islam is political. She didn’t just change her private religious beliefs. Jessica Bowie’s conversion to Islam meant that she became a citizen of the umma, the global Islamic community, and she apparently considered that to mean that she was an enemy of the United States. And so she plotted to massacre the enemies of Allah.

A woman has been charged with providing support to a terror group after allegedly plotting an ISIS-inspired attack on the New York State Capitol building in Albany, federal officials said Thursday.
Jessica Bowie, 35, of Albany, allegedly told a confidential source that she supported ISIS and asked for help learning to make explosives, according to a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
She was arrested Wednesday by FBI Albany’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, John A. Sarcone the first assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York, told reporters Thursday….
According to the complaint, Bowie converted to Islam five years ago, was radicalized online and created several social media accounts using an honorific Islamic name. She appeared to have created multiple accounts because they were “frequently suspended by providers for violating their terms of use,” the complaint said….
Bowie swore her allegiance to ISIS in multiple audio recordings in English and Arabic, and once wrote, “Praise be to Allah for September 11,” Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albany Field Office, Craig Tremaroli, said in a news conference Thursday.
The complaint alleges that Bowie communicated between July 16 through August 17 with a confidential source who was working with the FBI and posing as an ISIS facilitator.
She told the source that she wanted help to carry out an attack on the New York Capitol, according to the complaint. The building was less than two miles away from her home, and she said she wanted to do something to “harm the enemies of god,” the complaint said….
“Miss Bowie didn’t just want to kill lawmakers; she wanted a complete disruption of our government. And after that, she planned to flee the country and one day come back to ‘do more,’ such as New Year’s Eve in Times Square. Even stating she would come back to attack the White House and the president,” Tremaroli said.
Asked why she wanted to target the state Capitol, Bowie allegedly said, “Ideally it would be the White House with the president, but like, that’s an even harder job.”
She was also asked whether it would bother her if other people, including Muslims, died in the attack, the complaint said.
“I’d say it definitely bothers me, and I know I’m going to hear about the things after — what’s going to bother me, especially if there’s a Muslim, if there’s children, pregnant women,” Bowie responded, according to the complaint.
She went on to say, however, that Allah would hopefully forgive her, the complaint said…..

Whenever someone voluntarily converts to islam, the first question that ought to be asked is “which terrorist organization convinced him/her to do it?” B’cos it’s not the same as someone converting to Catholicism or Buddhism or Judaism or any normal religion. Maybe use the default assumption that they have joined ISIS, unless and until they clarify it and state that they have joined al Qaeda or Lashkar e Toiba or Hashd ash-Shabi or something else
For a problem like this, I’d support the old school KGB way of doing things: have a secret police whisk them away and just make them disappear for good (pun fully intended)

They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with their MONEY and their LIVES for the sake of Allah. I don’t understand how an American could fall into radical Islam that extreme, Isis. It is mental illness as the first commenter commented. I believe ISIS people must have a mental defect of some sort.
A group like Hamas, Hezbollah or the Houthis I can see somehow how someone got dragged into that. But it does not excuse anything, whatever the sentence, let it be that sentence. People have become so zombified I don’t believe they are witnessing how we are becoming like the Middle East little by little. Look at that Abdul, an open hater of America. All of them at one point or another have been exposed as haters of America and eventually were forced to pretend they do not hate us for votes.

I have met some good Muslim people through business but I don’t recall any of them trying to tell us how we should fix our country. These ones are different. The American ones are worse, that’s an objective observation on my part. I have done business with Gulf Arabs, some type of Russian Muslims, a man from Brunei, secular Iranians and Jordanian elites among others. It is possible it is a social class divide between the Islamists and the type of Muslims I have come across.
Important to note the Iranians were markedly different from these others as it seems most of them have been here quite a while and have very horrible history with the Islamic regime. These people had relatives disappeared who actually took part in the revolution. They were trouble makers of no sort, but they were disappeared anyways, even though they assisted the regime till their last day. A Islamist can never be trusted unless you yourself are an Islamist, and even then they turn on each other.

I believe that the secular Iranians that you encountered must have been ex muslims. Over the years, most of the Iranians that I encountered were secular. Only 1 of them seemed to be dedicated muslims. One was in college during the 80s, when the Khamenei revolution had happened and the thing that most Iranians were most focused on was the war w/ Iraq. Then in the 90s, there was one colleague at my first job who could have been either – either a dedicated muslim, or someone really good at mocking it, it was hard to tell. But since then, every Iranian I’ve encountered (always work colleagues) were anti-islam, and murtads by that definition
The Russian Muslims – there was a movement in Tsarist Russia known as “Jadid”, which was their equivalent of the Protestant reformation, but restricted only to the Russian empire – it didn’t spread to Turkey, Afghanistan or other muslim lands. This movement pushed for the modernization of muslims somewhat similar along the lines of the Protestants in Europe. They were banned during Soviet rule, but made a comeback in the -stans after 1991. That is why muslims from either Russia or ex Soveit republics are nothing like their counterparts to their South – in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Qatar, “Palestine” or other such a places

Grimly, I ran into Iranian Muslims when I was at UC Berkeley who had my art show shut down (one figure was a very tasteful nude), badly damagining it in the process. This was in 1979–foolishly, I had assumed that any Iranian here would consider themselves lucky they wre not in the way of the brutal Mullahs. Needless to say, I did not understand much about Islam at the time…

You look at the extremely evil content of islam as compared to other religions and I believe that people who join Islam are already vicious, hate filled people and Islam therefore suits such scum. Islam is toxic and Muslims are mostly rotten people, oxygen thieves who are poisonous in non Muslim societies.
