Notice that he didn’t apologize because what he said was wrong and evil, but because it was “inappropriate for that moment.”

“Muslim cleric apologises over Ebola, Namugongo comments,” by Samson Waswa, Pulse, August 24, 2026 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Muslim cleric Sheikh Abdul Hamid Kalungi has apologised to Catholics and Anglicans over remarks in which he celebrated the cancellation of this year’s Uganda Martyrs pilgrimage to Namugongo over Ebola concerns.
Kalungi issued the apology over the weekend after a video of his earlier sermon circulated on social media and drew accusations of religious hostility and intolerance.
In the clip, Kalungi celebrated Ebola’s disruption of the annual pilgrimage. He also prayed for a similar event to prevent future celebrations.
“We are very thankful for Ebola which Allah brought down to ensure that the Namugongo celebrations do not take place,” Kalungi said in the earlier sermon.
“We also pray that even next year, Ebola does the same, or something else like that so that we do not have such celebrations again.”…
Kalungi then withdrew his earlier remarks and apologised to those offended.
“I therefore saw the need to disavow that message. What I said was inappropriate for that moment. I apologise to everyone that has been hurt by my words, especially to the Catholics and the Anglicans and the petitioners,” he said….

‘ merciful to one another.” …don’t they even fight one another, the sunnis and shias?
Peacelover says
I don’t know why I used the word ‘even’ since hey, many people who call themselves Christian have fought/fight one another.

I was talking to a guy once….who told me his religion (sect) and I told him mine and he spit on me.
But, if a person is truly Christian, he won’t be praying for a horrible disease to come upon others.
When a person claims to be Christian, and then does something clearly evil, that one is going against what he claims to believe and follow.

Yes.
I absolutely detest Joe Biden, likely the very worst (pretend) US Pres. in the history of the United States.
But I am not “happy” that he has prostate cancer.

Thank you, James. and I feel the same way. I don’t pray for evil to come upon anyone. I do pray for God to do His Will and He decides that in each case.

satan cannot answer prayers, although according to Jesus, the devil does have the power/means to cause death.
This muzzie spoke from his evil heart. To apologize and actually mean it, he would have to renounce islime…and make his heart and mind over.
