Clarence Woodward, a homeless parolee, walked into a laundromat in the Bronx in the middle of the night and, with a machete, hacked to death its owner, José Miranda, and tried to kill his assistant, who survived. He did not know either victim. Woodward was taken into custody, and died at Riker’s Island while awaiting trial. Mayor Mamdani told the world that the death of Woodward “deeply saddened” him. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he was “deeply saddened” by the death of a Rikers Island inmate charged with murdering a shop owner with a meat cleaver in an unprovoked attack.
“I am deeply saddened by the death of a New Yorker in City custody at a jail on Rikers Island early this morning,” Mamdani said. “My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss.”…
Come again, Mayor Mamdani? Your thoughts are with a cold-blooded killer’s “family and loved ones” as they “grieve his loss”? What prompted such sympathy? But of course Mamdani’s “thoughts” have also been with other killers, the ones who take such delight in slaughtering innocent Israelis. Mamdani has refused to condemn the call to “globalize the Intifada,” a phrase understood to mean “attack and kill Jews everywhere.” Israel, of course, has him outraged, and he has repeatedly accused it of “genocide.” He has never accused Hamas of attempted “genocide,” though the Hamas Charter makes clear that the terror group’s aim is to destroy the Jewish state and kill or drive out all of its Jewish citizens. And what does one do with a state, such as Israel, that Mamdani claims commits “genocide”? Naturally, you make war on it; that state, and its people, must not be allowed to survive.
Police said Woodward walked into the 24-hour laundromat at about 2:40 a.m. and attacked 45-year-old Jose Miranda and another man without provocation.
Woodward allegedly stabbed Miranda in the legs and upper body and wounded the 47-year-old victim in the back before fleeing. Both victims were taken to Lincoln Hospital, where Miranda died. The second victim survived.
Miranda was a father of two who was known for his work as an artist, tattooist, and barber, according to a fundraiser created by his family after his death. Woodward had reportedly been released from prison about a month before the attack.
Woodward had been set free. And how did Clarence Woodward make use of his newfound freedom? He took a machete and hacked to death a man he did not know. This is the man for whom Mamdani grieves.
X users called out Mamdani for mourning Woodward, asking whether the mayor had also offered condolences to the alleged murder victim and his family.
He hasn’t.
Mamdani exhibits sympathy for the killers and want of sympathy for those killed. His moral compass does not show True North, but is wildly turning off-kilter. I hope his statement of sympathy for the killer of José Miranda makes the rounds of all 32,000 Latino shopowners in New York City. In addition, 2.5 million people in New York City are Latino or Hispanic. Whatever office Mamdani runs for in the future, they should remember his ready tear for the man who took a machete and butchered José Miranda.

This Scum has no heart for the victim who seems to be unrelated to the murderer. The Mayor seems to know or assume that the murderer was probably a recent convert. This Satan-follower mayor is very keen on sympathizing with the murderer because the murderer most likely had islamic agenda for getting reward for killing an infidel by the devil (which is a lie). In the meantime all Muslims will maintain a stoic silence about the gory incident and the scums will even dare to say that they are scared to venture out! What else do you expect from the devil-worshippers?

The murderer wanted to be returned to prison, so he committed a crime he knew would land him there.
He may have known his time was short, and didn’t want to die on the street with garbage surrounding him.

This same mayor watch the world cup matches on TV (a MSM photo op staged) a few months back not in a bar full of law abiding citizens or a Middle Eastern themed restaurant but with a bunch of inmates in a NYC jail while the MSM was saying what a regular guy he was .Will he start telling another tall tale about his” aunt” getting the stink eye on the subway the day after 9/11/ 2001 at the 911 25th memorial next month? His wife is jetting back to an “Islamic art retreat” in Portugal she will miss 911 memorial just like she was out of the country on 7/4/.2026 for the 250 celebration’s she was in Spain at an Islamic retreat. In later September she is jetting again to visit “relatives” in Syria .

It has to be one of the weirdest statements ever. No sadness for the murder victim.
