It wasn’t all that long ago that Heidi Beirich, then the director of the Intelligence Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center, was trying to get us defunded.
Beirich accused donor-advised funds of donating to “Anti-Muslim nonprofits including the David Horowitz Freedom Center” and falsely claimed that “the SPLC has a high bar for listing organizations as hate groups.”
As someone who was listed as a hate group by the SPLC, I can testify that is not the case. Here’s how the SPLC listed me.
The Southern Poverty Law Center had listed, “Sultan Knish a blog by Daniel Greenfield” as one of their “Active Anti-Muslim Hate Groups,” alongside such other vast organizations as “Faith Freedom,” a website for ex-Muslims, and “Casa D’Ice Signs,” the signs on a bar located on K-Mart Plaza located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
Also a brand of gun oil.
After artist Bosch Fawstin was targeted in the first ISIS attack in America in Garland, Texas, Beirich announced she was now putting him on the list.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which includes AFDI on its annual list of U.S. hate groups, plans to add Fawstin to its 2016 report, Heidi Beirich, director of the tracking effort, told Reuters on Monday. She said he would have been listed previously, but the center did not know Fawstin’s location. The organization has since learned that his website is registered in New York City.
“He’s like the artist of the movement,” Beirich said. “His views, they are hate views.” She said his website is “virulently ugly” in its anti-Muslim views.

After the Poway synagogue attack, somehow the subject turned to us.
Beirich puts the rise of the far right in the region down to two major factors. The strength and vibrancy of immigrant culture has often drawn a racist reaction from white people on the far right, she said. That is reflected today in the anti-immigrant groups that still operate in the region – such as the Californians for Population Stabilization group in Santa Barbara and anti-Muslim groups such as Jihad Watch in Sherman Oaks and the David Horowitz Freedom Foundation in Los Angeles.

Now those secrets are out. While Heidi was accusing of being bigots, she was in bed with Nazis. Literally.
A top Southern Poverty Law Center official is accused of helping funnel $1.2 million in donor money to an informant in the National Alliance white supremacist group — who was also allegedly her lover.
Based on the details in the June 2 superseding indictment, “Employee-2” is believed to be Heidi Beirich, a 58-year-old fascism expert who was the director of intelligence at the Alabama-based anti-extremism nonprofit between 2012 and 2019.
The indictment alleges Beirich was very close to the informant known only as “F-9” who “infiltrated the neo-Nazi organization National Alliance.”
“[Beirich] was also in a romantic relationship with F-9. During this relationship, [Beirich] and F-9 shared a house and two bank accounts,” the indictment alleges.
“Between 2015 and 2021, approximately $140,000 in donors’ money flowed from the SPLC operating account … and was ultimately deposited into the joint bank accounts held by F-9 and [Beirich].
“This amounted to approximately 66% of all money ever deposited into their joint bank accounts. [Beirich] then used donors’ money to pay the couple’s personal living expenses.”
And now she’s under arrest.
A former Southern Poverty Law Center finance officer was charged Wednesday for her leading role in having the left-wing nonprofit secretly pay informants to participate in white supremacist groups.
Wednesday’s superseding indictment accused Beirich of helping to funnel $1.2 million in SPLC donor money to an informant in the white supremacist group National Alliance — who was also purportedly her lover.
The David Horowitz Freedom Center is still standing. Heidi isn’t.

Found in his apartment “unresponsive.”
It said the death was not expected, but also not suspicious. But they are investigating.

If anyone is responsible for his death it is the Western white leftists that went along with him, let him get away with it, allowed him to advance and profit as a result of it. They all have his blood on their hands as a result of putting their feelings before truth (what they in their own minds they perceived to be the truth). It just goes to show that whenever leftists get involved in anything death follows.

I use SPLC in a different way. I’d prefer it to see who to support, rather than a list to oppose. Granted, it won’t be the be-all & end-all, but it’s a start
From the above article, given that SPLC targeted ex-muslim groups like Faith Freedom & the Jewish opponents of the Poway Synagogue bombing, SPLC looks more like a jihad group in its own right, even if it’s not a muslim dominated organization (just my guess here)

It looks like after running out of Blacks to represent for redress through the courts, a crowded field with declining clients, they broadened the scope to include other groups and manufactured hate claims.
Maybe Al Sharpton was too much competition. To get donations you need to be the hero, fighting for (questionably) slandered rights for a minority in the media. More groups, more bucks?

She never became acquainted with *honesty* and *integrity.* It’s great that she has been arrested.
I have often wondered how individuals can be “hate groups.”

The real victory here, if it ever comes to pass, would be the revocation of SPLC’s 401(c)(3) status, the stripping of all its assets, and its eventual dissolution. Jailing Beirich for a number of years is only the icing on the cake.
