Progressive Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed has wooed voters with his credentials as a doctor with a mission of healthcare for all.
But his record overseeing Detroit’s troubled animal-control system, which saw high rates of animal euthanasia, has received far less attention as he’s campaigned.
From 2015 to 2017, El-Sayed served as executive director and health officer of the Detroit Health Department – a powerful post that put him over the city’s Animal Control operation during some of its darkest days.
In a 2017 ABC News profile of his bid for governor, El-Sayed pointed to his record as Detroit’s health director, boasting that his team had ‘rebuilt the animal control system.’
But according to records obtained by the Daily Mail, nearly 4,680 dogs and cats were euthanized by Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) during the period when El-Sayed was in his post at the Detroit Health Department.
The 2015 numbers were particularly stark. That year, DACC euthanized 1,988 dogs and 272 cats – a total of 2,260 animals.
The figure represented 26.4 percent of all dogs euthanized in the county, according to Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Animal Shelter Annual Report.
While the DACC failed to publicly report its 2016 euthanasia figures, according to records, an exclusive report obtained by the Daily Mail reveals that DACC euthanized 1,056 dogs and 29 cats that year.

Effing Muzzies! The idea is to get the shelter dogs adopted out to proper homes. The life of a dog is worth far more than the life of a Muzzie.
If you read between the lines, Muhammed did not want dogs that were roaming the area drawing attention to his homosexual romp(s) with Gabriel, so he ordered them all killed. The Iranians are particularly cruel to dogs, killing them wherever they find them.
I’d put my dog up against a Muzzie any day. I’m sure that the Muzzie’s limbs would be shredded with no injury to the dog. I’d even bet that he would renounce Islam to have the dog stand down.

Rogers’ campaign needs to seize on this and make it one of their central issues. It has the potential of doing to El Sayed what nothing else possibly can
If one recalls, in the weeks following 9/11, during Operation Enduring Freedom, there was an incident of a viral video of the Taliban testing chemical weapons on a dog, which died as a result. That provoked widespread outrage in the West, even more than 9/11 itself (where a lot of the reaction was treating it as a natural disaster rather than a terrorist attack). mohammedans can be misogynist, homophobic and a lot of things, but cruelty to animals is one thing that they have yet to beat
So people who want El Sayed defeated should harp on this story, & if possible, produce videos of the dogs getting killed, if available (preferably, don’t use AI to generate these). That could tank his campaign at least amongst his non-muslim supporters
