Respect for private property is one of the basic precepts of the United States . It’s also the foundation of civilized society . Therefore, cutting the head of that statue was wrong . It wasn’t his to chop away at .
That man who did that was most likely of Muslim , and Islam doesn’t respect the private property of people who it terms as “disbelievers.”
As for the most fitting words to describe what that man did, naturally most Roman Catholics would call his action as a “desecration” Speaking only for myself , as a Protestant, I call what that guy did as an action of “vandalism ” All vandalism is wrong.
Furthermore , in my home I have a Bible but no religious statue or.pictures. The point being when driving by a church and see outside a religious statue of its property I just keep on driving, and never ,ever consider action out in vandalism towards it.
The reason is because respect for private property is based on teaching of the Bible Also Federal and State government laws of the US,Likewise , the foundation of Western civilization and civilized society. .
Such values are rejected by Islam.

As a catholic I also agree that Islam has no respect for non islamic people and their property. Islam actually praise the destruction of property, rape, murder, and violence against non islamic people.
The media never reports that these muslim/islamic men who commit crimes against Christians and Jews are hate crimes.
