Primary Colors

On August 4, Democratic primaries were held in five states. The most important of these were held in Michigan, where pro-Israel candidates — Jeremy Moss and Haley Stevens — faced hard-left anti-Israel candidates. Two of these Michigan races deserve comment, as does one closely-watched House race in Missouri where Israel was the main issue.

More on the race that Jeremy Moss won in the 11th Congressional District, can be found here: “Jewish Democrat Jeremy Moss defeats pro-Palestinian rival in Michigan primary,” by Andrew Lapin, JTA, August 5, 2026:

On the same night, a pro-Israel favorite of Michigan’s Jewish community was battling in her high-profile US Senate Democratic primary against pro-Palestinian progressive Abdul El-Sayed, a Jewish LGBTQ Democrat easily picked up the party’s nomination for her House seat.Michigan state Sen. Jeremy Moss, who has spoken out against antisemitism from the state house floor, netted the Democratic nomination for the state’s 11th District. The seat, which has a history of GOP representation but has been held by Democrats for the last several cycles, is currently held by centrist Rep. Haley Stevens, who was facing off against El-Sayed Tuesday night. The Associated Press called the race for Moss after 74% of the vote had been counted, with him taking 49.2% of the vote, far outpacing his next-closest rival, pro-Palestinian attorney Aisha Farooqi, at 32.9%. The district is located in Oakland County, a suburban Detroit region with a high concentration of Jews, and includes Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, which was heavily damaged in an attack earlier this year.On Tuesday night, Moss expressed appreciation to his supporters via X/Twitter. “Thank you, Oakland County! It’s the honor of a lifetime to be your Democratic nominee.”Many of Stevens’ most prominent Jewish supporters – some of whom have vowed to fundraise for Republican candidate Mike Rogers if she loses her primary race – also expressed their support of Moss.

While Moss has not made Israel a central issue of his candidacy, he has in the past supported liberal pro-Israel positions, including a two-state solution. “The overwhelming majority of American Jewish voters believe that both Israel has a right to defend itself from terrorism & Palestinians have a right to self-determination in a peace-seeking state,” he wrote on X in 2024….

Oh dear. There it is again, that will-o’-the-wisp of a “two-state solution.” But Jeremy Moss’s heart is in the right place, and if he allows himself to learn more about Islam, he will come to realize that there is no “solution” to the permanent jihad against Israel, and only the deterrence that the overwhelmingly more powerful IDF provides will keep the peace between Jews and their Muslim Arab enemies.

Thank god the Palestinian-American Aisha Farooqi was soundly defeated. The final vote was 59.9% for Moss and 32.3% for Farooqi — a veritable trouncing.

In Michigan’s primary contest for the Senate, Abdul El-Sayed defeated Haley Stevens. But it was no runaway victory for El-Sayed, as so many thought it would be. For weeks, right up to the election, El-Sayed had been touted as having a 16-point lead over Stevens. In the end, he won by a razor-thin margin, 48.5% to 47.5%, that is, by only 15,000 votes, or 1% of the 1.5 million votes cast. Such a squeaker must alarm El-Sayed, who had expected to do far better. Still worse for the man who calls himself “Doctor El-Sayed” though he is not eligible to practice medicine, many of Stevens’ voters, unlike Stevens herself, are now vowing to vote for the Republican Mike Rogers in November. Despite his triumphant victory speech, in which he remembered to describe Israel as “bloodthirsty,” Abdul El-Sayed must surely be worried. A 1% margin is no landslide.

Meanwhile, Representative Wesley Bell, a mainstream Democrat who is reliably pro-Israel, defeated Cori Bush, who is even more reliably anti-Israel, just as he did two years ago, for the First Congressional District (including St. Louis) in Missouri. While Cori Bush was one of the first in Washington to accuse Israel of “genocide” and bizarrely put “All Eyes On Gaza” on some of her campaign posters, Bell has been steadfast in his support of Israel in Congressional voting. Not only did Bell defeat Bush, but he did so by a far greater margin than he did in 2024. In that year, Bell won 51% to 46% for Bush. This year Bell had a runaway victory, with 59.2% of the votes to Bush’s 36.9%. Some would call that a landslide.

In sum, there’s been a huge defeat for the anti-Israel Cori Bush and a clear victory for her opponent, the pro-Israel Wesley Bell in the First Congressional District in Missouri. In Michigan, another pro-Israel candidate, Jeremy Moss, beat his Palestinian-American opponent Aisha Farooqi in a landslide. And in the Senate race that everyone expected Abdul El-Sayed to win by double digits, he in the end squeaked by with a margin of 1%. And as noted above, many Democratic supporters of Haley Stevens have said they will support the Republican Mike Rogers in November.

Taken all in all, it was a good night for supporters of Israel. They came away with two important primary wins for Congressional seats in Michigan and Missouri, and the Mamdani of the Middle West, on whom so many Democratic Socialists, “progressives” all, had placed their high hopes for a double-digit victory, won by the thinnest of margins.

Will El-Sayed win in November? I was worried before, but I’m not worried now. I don’t think he has a chance in hell against Mike Rogers. Or as the Arabs say, bukra fil mish-mish — “when the apricot trees bloom” — which means “when pigs fly,” or, in one word, “never.”

Yeah, it’s good to see some pushback to the Democrat Socialists from more Centrist voters. On the Right, we shouldn’t assume that if DSA commie jihadists get elected, that they will automatically be unelectable in the general. We’ve already seen enough examples to the contrary – Ilhan, Rashida, Mamdani…

One correction, Hugh. Aisha Farooqi, who lost her race to Jeremy Moss, is a Paki-American, not a Pali-American. Her parents were from Lahore

Israel is the only country in the world (tiny country) that is fighting back against the global islamic jihad islamic principles and the eventual islamic conversion menace. As an American I am with Israel because I have to be.

Trouncing? Perhaps so in terms of political victories. In my hometown during a recent Democratic runoff for a House seat, a fanatical antisemitic sex-worker ran against a local deputy sheriff for the Democratic nomination. She too was “trounced” and received just over 5,000 votes. She did not concern me as she was clearly a nut-job and her views were widely spread throughout Texas and the nation. But she still received 5,000 votes…that concerns me. The fact this “palestinian”-American received 32% of the votes in Michigan also concerns me. How long is her district safe? Perhaps until 2028? Perhaps 2030?

The muslim/islamic migration invasion is bringing these foreign and recently born islamist into all areas of power and rule. It is strange how many islamist are on our school boards, higher education, local and state government and federal political positions and vet the number of their population to the total population is minimal. Islam wants to take over America from the inside, they know they can not defeat us on the battlefield so here they are flooding America with CASH and MIGRANTS.

This is chilling–Muslims running for public office is being normalized–and in a shockingly small period of time.

You’ll know that total normalization has been reached, and game over, when a Muslim man without a beard gets elected to high office.
