Really, the Christian clergy who belong to this new anti-Israel group — “Priests Against Genocide” — have no shame. Eighty years after the mass murder of Jews ended in “Christian” Europe, during which the Church, under Pope Pius XII, remained silent, these clerical-collared antisemites are hard at work, hoping to destroy the one Jewish state in order to create a 23rd Arab one. Right now, Israel is the one place in the Middle East where Christians enjoy equal rights with the majority. Everywhere in the Muslim lands, however, Christians are not equal to Muslims, and are subject to different levels of discrimination, persecution, and in some cases, murder, which both the government and private parties commit.
More on these priests whose views on Jews mirror those of Father Coughlin (the the National Shrine of the Little Flower priest spewing his antisemitic venom on the radio from Dearborn, Michigan) and Father Feeney (of Dorchester, Mass.) can be found here: “Catholic Clergy Network Co-opts Amnesty’s ‘Genocide Inversion’ in New Anti-Israel Offensive,” by Jules Gomes, Middle East Forum, July 26, 2026:
A week after the Church of England approved a Palestinian manifesto labeling Israel a genocidal Jewish supremacist entity, a global association of Catholic priests is urging Ireland’s government to press the European Union to end what it calls a “genocide” in Gaza.
Priests Against Genocide, a coalition of over 2,400 priests, 26 bishops, and two cardinals, wrote to Ireland’s prime minister and lawmakers on July 20, 2026, attaching Amnesty International’s statement asking the European Union to act against Israel for its “genocide” in Gaza….
The number of signatories is not impressive. There are 241 cardinals. Only two signed this nauseating letter. Only 26 bishops, out of a total of 5,600 worldwide, did so. And only 2,400 priests, out of a worldwide total of 407,000, or one-half of one percent, added their names.
Ireland, a traditionally Catholic country currently witnessing unprecedented levels of Holocaust denial, as per a January 2026 survey, re-assumed the presidency of the European Union Council from July 1. Irish Catholics are almost 80 percent less likely to support Israel than Protestants, an earlier December 2024 survey found, with “medieval” religious antisemitic attitudes highest among Catholics.
“Ireland has already demonstrated to the world what principled leadership looks like. In the 1980s, Ireland became the first European country to ban the import of goods from apartheid South Africa,” the Priests Against Genocide statement wrote in its anti-Israel petition.
While the Church of England backed the Kairos II manifesto justifying Hamas’s October 7, 2023, massacre as the consequence of Israeli occupation, experts accuse Amnesty International of “genocide inversion.” Its December 2024 report states: “On 7 October 2023, Israel embarked on a military offensive on the Gaza Strip (Gaza) of unprecedented magnitude, scale and duration.”…
Israel’s campaign against the terror group Hamas in Gaza, these “priests against genocide” maintain, is “of unprecedented magnitude, scale, and duration.” Is it? Surely not compared to the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, in both of which hundreds of thousands were killed. Or the Iran-Iraq war, where millions died. Or the Ukraine- Russia war, where on the Russian side alone, 450,000 soldiers died. Or the Syrian civil war, in which 560,000 died in thirteen years of brutal war. Or the Biafra War that lasted from 1967 to 1969, in which three million people died, most of them Christian Igbo civilians. Compared to all these wars the one in Gaza is a mere blip on the screen.
When asked if the coalition has protested other genocides, including the ongoing genocide against the Amhara people in Ethiopia, the Sudan genocide, the ethnic cleansing of Syrian Kurds from Afrin, or the slaughter of Christians in Biafra, Priests Against Genocide-USA chair Father John Heagle said Priests Against Genocide is “concerned about genocide any place in the human community” but was founded “as a direct response to the ongoing genocidal conditions in Palestine.”
However, there is no mention whatsoever of any actual genocide in Priests Against Genocide’s public documents. The group concedes that priests founded it solely for taking a stand against the alleged “genocide in Gaza.”
My, how very selective these Priests Against Genocide turn out to be. They make not a single mention of the real genocides that have been, or are right now, taking place all over: in Sudan, by Arabs murdering black Africans; in Nigeria, by Muslims killing Christians in the Biafra War and then in Boko Haram and Fulani attacks; in Syria, the Arabs killing Kurds and Druze; in Iraq, by Arabs killing 182,000 Kurds when Saddam Hussein unleashed his Al-Anfal campaign.
For these bigoted priests, there is only one genocide that matters, and only one party that stands accused: the “genocide” that counts is the one the IDF is supposedly carrying out in Gaza. The diseased sympathy of these clerical-collared antisemites deserves to be called out. They are not to be followed but to be mocked for their moral collapse. But otherwise let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Thank you Hugh for doing his article. This was needed to be said. They are very quiet on Iran murdering people in the streets, I must of missed the declaration signings by the Catholics on that one…..
All attention to Israel. They are betting they can get on the Muslims good side, while it shows weakness and only invited more attacks on Christians world wide. No, you can stick your head in the ground on Pakistan Christians and support the Muslims, but no, they won’t respect you, they’ll only think you’re weak, or even worse, they may begin to believe the church wants Muslims to take our all the Christians because the church is backing the Muslims.
Muslim lives matter for the church. If Iran killed religious Irgc twelves radicals, the pope would be signing a declaration. Only radical Muslim enclaves like Gaza, who supports terror, only they are the special ones.
Namer says
The Pope has already prostrated the church to Islam. Now they want to help islam kill off the Jews which the church was unable to do during WW2. I hope one day they remember that Christ was a Jew.
Siddhi Nasranni says
They HATE the JEWS because we killed Jesus !!!???
As for the Catholic priests, they are ” The Slaves of Satan.”

I regularly root for Christianity to remain the major religion of the West, but considering all the stupidities, moral transgressions and outright falsehoods propounded and found in so many Christian sects over the past half century or so, this ever increasingly looks like a dim prospect.
I’ll put it another way. If Christianity dies in the West, then, guaranteed, the West will die. Well, Christianity is presently dying in the West and due to a fair extent because the hierarchies in numerous Christian sects, and most especially with Roman Catholicism, have become abysmal in comprehending the idiocy of Leftism and the iniquity of Islam.
Keys says
“If Christianity dies in the West, then, guaranteed, the West will die.”
Devastating thought, Wellington, for so many reasons! And, I think it follows that if Christianity dies in the USA, then, guaranteed, the USA will die. The US Constitution would not survive alone. Both under attack from powerful enemies.
Wellington says
I see we are in accord again, Keys. And the US Constitution would have never come about minus the Judeo-Christian “contribution” to the West. Even Founding Fathers of America who were not conventional Christians, as examples Jefferson and Franklin, knew all this quite well.
I have no time for those today who do not see the connection between Christianity and such documents as the Declaration of Independence, the Northwest Ordinance, the Constitution proper and the Bill of Rights. Such people are mere fools at best; at worst, something functioning in the pure evil realm.
Westman says
Amen. I’m agnostic yet have no difficulty seeing the bright connections between the Judeo-Christian religious underpinning of the Founding Fathers and everything we hold dear in the founding documents and guarantees of rights to US citizens.
Jefferson may have rewritten a version of the Bible yet never refuted its principles.
When Benjamin Franklin warned, “if you can keep it”, it was understood he meant that keeping our founding principles was the key.
OLD GUY says
The Pope should be putting his efforts into training American priest instead of sending priest from foreign countries who can barley speak English. The church is losing members because people can’t understand the priest.

Jesus warned of those who are “the blind leading the blind.” But, He also warned of those who dress in the clothing of sheep, but inside are wolves. “Blind” on purpose.
He warned of “rotten trees producing rotten fruit,” and He called the Pharisees (a whole lot like these modern day “priests”) “serpents, whitewashed graves and unwashed cups.” He asked, “How are you to flee the judgment of Gehenna?”
And to these ones who are siding with the murderous sons of satan, Jesus warned about what His response will be when they come and claim they ‘expelled demons, performed powerful works, etc.”
“I will say to them, “Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.”
People may ‘judge’ Christianity by these fools who claim but don’t practice. that is a huge mistake.

These priests should be tending their flocks and making disciples of all nations. Total silence when the Azeris ethnically cleansed Artsakh also.
Hypocrites.
somehistory says
Thank you, GE And you are so right to call them out as “hypocrites.” As Christians know, Jesus had a lot to say about hypocrites….and none of it good things.
“Wolves in sheep’s clothing do not treat the flock with tenderness.” But they sure do expect respect from that same flock. and money, too.
John1 says
The only genocide going on at the present time is of black Christians in Africa. But Christians in Muslim majority countries are severely discriminated against and are second class citizens. (It’s all in their instruction manual; koran)
Wellington says
John1: The ongoing slaughter of black African Christians is the single most non-reported story by the Western media in our time and thus demonstrative yet again of how putrid the Western media has become.
I fully realize you know this but what a damn shame that so many others do not, in large part, though not completely, because the Western MSM has become so biased that Christians being murdered by Muslims would upset the Islamophobia narrative the putrid Western media keeps pushing ad nauseam.
Westman says
Isn’t it strange that these priests seem unaware that the belief system of the Palestinians, for who they want the West to punish Israel, calls for Allah and his minions to torture and burn those priests in eternal torment regardless of any service they perform for Muslims?
What great reward was it, again, that Christian priests will receive from Allah? Oh, yes, molten lead in the ears for music, caustic liquid to drink for the stomach, boiling water on the head(headache remedy?), and the never-ending “finale”, skin burned off and replaced with new skin, repeat, forever. And he promises even more for Jews.
See, you wise old priests, there might be a wee difference between Allah and your God. Who are you serving, again, the Allah who wants all Jews murdered? Palestinians will accept your help and money but don’t expect thanks. Don’t stick around too long. Palestinian Jihadis get martyrdom ideas.
tgusa says
You can’t call the Catholic church Christian. Wrecking crew is much more fitting. Something they don’t want to talk about. Nazi ratlines were established by the Catholic Church, particularly the Vatican, and were used to help high-ranking Nazi officials escape Europe. Only the high-ranking, doubt it. A leopard cannot change its spots.
somehistory says
Too true, tgusa. Evil-minded people fear the Truth; they hate hearing, reading, and being confronted by Truth. They lie and deny.
Chevellec says
The calls form the top to all the way bottom told them to not speak ill of Islam in their congregation. They won’t allow it. But still, there are a few who disobey, and their congregation is aware of Islam.
Islam like an authoritarian policy now within Catholic Church . It’s so important for the leaders I don’t know why. They want to link themself to Islamic migration in order to look forgiving and humane. And they don’t want priests challenging these policies.

So are the “Priests against Genocide” protesting against the islamic regime massacring Iranians? Or Bangladesh persecuting not just Christians, but Buddhists & Hindus as well?
I don’t blame people for abandoning Christianity & looking at alternatives. So long as one of those alternatives ain’t islam
Edward Brennan says
I’m Irish, and Christian, and I am deeply disturbed at anti ‘Jew’ propoganda, which is being shreiked across MSM.
Our country is led by Gobshites for Gaza, who have forsaken the Christians of Africa and the M.E., and Ireland itself.
Islam must be banned in the West, if we, including Israel, are to survive.
ploome says
what are you doing to achieve that goal?
Bean🫘 says
Why are your people so friendly to Muslims world wide? I saw Muslim MMA fighters praising Islam and praising Ireland. For Palestine and for taking so many male refugees they said thank you. Well that’s at least nice.
But what’s the connection. And what is the plan. What is the Muslim male migration limit where Ireland says no, sorry we are full, even tho we love you guys.
