‘Palestinianism’: The DSA’s Racist Foreign Policy and the Nullification of Jewish Nationhood

A close examination of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) party platform reveals a fundamentally Communist manifesto aimed at undermining American democracy. The DSA’s foreign policy has a singular fixation on the Palestinians. Jewish nationalism (Zionism) is condemned while exclusive focus is on Palestinian rights ignoring all other “liberation” movements globally. This is blatant discrimination. Of all the clashes between national groups worldwide, only Zionism is castigated. There is no mention of the indigenous Jewish People returning to its ancient homeland, the Land of Israel or Judeawhich they call “Palestine.” The DSA’s foreign policy uses the façade of Palestinian liberation or “Palestinianism” to cover for its Antisemitism and apathy or hostility towards other liberation movements, especially those democratic in nature.

As concerns Israel, the 2026 DSA party platform under “FREE PALESTINE” first seeks to isolate and weaken Israel through a halt in military-economic aid, support for the Palestinian “resistance” and the prosecution of Israeli leaders for an unproven “genocide.”

Hamas terrorism is defined as “resistance”. The euphemisms “right of return” and “right to self-determination in a free Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital” equal the destruction of the Jewish State.

There is no call for conflict resolution nor a two-state solution. DSA pamphlets feature kafiya adorned caricatures and demonstrators waving Palestinian flags while condemning the US and Israel exemplifying their full commitment to Israel’s elimination.

The DSA upholds the delegitimization of Israel expressed in the 1968 Palestinian National Charter (PNC) Art. 20 where the Balfour Declaration, the Palestine Mandate, the Jewish connection to the Land of Israel (called “Palestine”) and Jewish national identity are all denied.

“Palestinianism” nullifies Jewish nationhood and declares Jews to be only followers of a religion, Judaism.  Hence Jews have no right to their homeland despite Biblical, Quranic and archeological evidence to the contrary.

While refusing to condemn Hamas atrocities, the DSA exclusively supports the Palestinians and no other “liberation” movements.

Fully loyal to the Marxist-Islamist Red-Green Axis the communist DSA has no criticism of the Islamic Jihadi slaughter in Nigeria by Boko Haram, brutalities in Somalia by al-Shabab, massacres and displacement of over twelve million refugees in Sudan’s civil war, the Afghan Taliban’s vicious oppression of tens of millions of women and the butchering of over 36,000 of the Iranian opposition by the ayatollah/IRGC regime in January.

DSA leaders even deny or discount the Hamas atrocities of murder, rape and torture perpetrated against Israelis and others(Oct. 7, 2023 and beyond) and towards their own Palestinian people continuing into the present.

The DSA platform demands defunding the US military and non-interference against Cuba, Venezuela and Iran, thereby advocating for communist and Islamist dictatorships while ignoring the repression of democratic voices in Marxist and Islamist autocracies.

The DSA actively disregards those communist “utopias” in Eastern Europe who rebelled, broke from the Soviet Warsaw Pact, adopted free enterprise and became thriving societies beginning in the 1990s. The DSA refuses to condemn the brutal Soviet Gulag domestic prison system and foreign support given to repressive regimes in Eastern Europe, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Cuba, North Korea, etc. under the Soviet umbrella.

Supporting Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime and other Islamists the “Democratic Socialists” take a huge stride beyond the Soviet policies of yesteryear by forging alliances with Islamic Jihadi regimes.

Nowadays, the Marxist DSA leadership refuses to condemn the brutalities and massacres perpetrated by their Jihadi allies.

The USSR’s Stalin persecuted Jews with the accusation of “Zionism.” By the 1950s and 1960s the Khrushchev and Brezhnev regimes equated Zionism with capitalism, racism, colonialism, imperialism and oppression of all others while equating Jews and Zionists as one and the same. Deceitfully using “reverse accusation” Israel was and is accused of these crimes without basis especially after Israel’s 1967 humiliating Six Day War victory over Moscow’s “progressive” Egyptian Nasserist and Syrian Baathist allies.

Leveraging the Palestinian cause, an enraged Kremlin solidified its anti-Israel stance using a “liberation” ideal as clearly expressed through the PNC in 1968. “Palestinianism” was born accusing Israel (Jewish nationalism) of “international imperialism,” and of being “racist and fanatic in its nature, aggressive, expansionist, and colonial in its aims, and fascist in its methods.” (PNC Art. 22)

As members of the Red-Green Axis the DSA continues the same policy today and goes a step further supporting the Hamas Palestinian Jihadis demanding Jewish destruction (Hamas Covenant Art. 7).

Palestinianism is the “liberationist” façade for a Marxist-Islamist Antisemitism and the Palestinians are the DSA poster child to the exclusion of all other freedom seeking movements. By supporting “Palestinianism” the DSA is clearly racist.
