Nepal has tightened security and imposed curfews in several districts after violence erupted in Sunsari district of Koshi Province, leaving one person dead and 24 others injured. The unrest began after Muslims attacked the Hindu Kanwar Yatra over DJ music, prompting authorities to extend restrictions and increase security across sensitive areas.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, the incident took place around 10:15 pm on Sunday, 26th July in Dewanganj Rural Municipality-3, Kaptainganj. Police said Police said a group of Hindu youths carrying a DJ sound system while heading to offer water to the Koshi River entered a predominantly Muslim locality.
The little argument soon escalated into a clash between members of the two communities, with both sides throwing stones and attacking each other. As the situation worsened, teams from the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force intervened, and police fired several rounds to disperse the crowd.
The violence claimed the life of 30-year-old Om Prakash Mehta of Dewanganj-3. Senior Superintendent of Police Yogendra Singh Thapa, spokesperson for the Koshi Province Police Office in Biratnagar, said 24 people, including security personnel, were injured. Those injured include 10 Nepal Police personnel, five Armed Police Force personnel, and nine civilians. They are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Biratnagar and Sunsari….

A friend who was a Christian missionary in Nepal some time ago said that the Nepalese Hindus were hostile to the Christians. So, both Hindus in Nepal and India are hostile to Christianity. But they allow the muslims who are still the minorities (although much bigger than the Christians) to go rampage in their areas.

It is a Hindu country. Learn to respect that, and stop pretending that Christianity, which is the religious edition of Globalism, is the one-size-fits-all solution for everybody. There are some 100+ Christian countries worldwide, 20 of which are officially Christian. Be content w/ that, and focus on converting Leftists and anarchists within those countries, rather than send missionaries to completely foreign lands to intrude into people who’re just minding their own business

Actually, no, Taleb! I’m not advocating that Hindus migrate to Western countries and try converting them to Hinduism. At the most, I only support that in cases like Nepal and Mauritius, that are already majority Hindu

Nepal needs to revert to becoming a Hindu monarchy. It was very stable then, even if poor. That country becoming secular and getting Left leaning regimes has got it to a place where muslims, who were previously <2%, are now emboldened enough to do this
