In his August 14, 2026 Friday sermon at the Islamic Institute of America in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, resident scholar Ibrahim Yassine said that Islam is coming to America, and that the Shiite faith is coming to America. He said that they do not seek to sow discord, but rather would do so through reason, logic, religion, and moral values.
Yassine said that Shiites will build America on the basis of moral civilization and Islam. He said that what Americans have is not considered civilization, but merely worldly life and technology. According to Yassine, Americans consider civilization to mean killing nations and plundering their resources, citing President Trump’s remarks about “wiping out a civilization.” Yassine said: “He wants to kill you. This is a sick mentality.”
In March 2026, Yassine spoke at the Islamic Education Center in Orlando, Florida, where he mocked President Trump, praised Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and congratulated Khamenei’s son Mojtaba Khamenei on his appointment to succeed his father.

What Islam has, was built on historically sacking other societies and now absorbing Western technology, trading oil wealth for it. It’s a bit rich, one would think, that religious scholar Ibrahim Yassine says his primitive, desert warlord, conquest religion is superior to the free minds that created today’s technology and freed others from physical bondage. For him, morality means controlling women. Stealing from infidels is sanctioned.
The US is, in fact, the ultimate impediment to the spread of Islam being armed and capable, at the citizen level, to stop any violence should the government fail its obligation to secure the nation.
Islam has nothing to offer the US and intelligent infidels will reject it, as it has proven a historical path to poverty, a bloody history, and mouths that can’t resist Forbidding to infidels. We have yet to see an Islamic group express thanks to the US for its opportunities and now-strained tolerance.
