Why should Israel give up Judea and Samaria? Because jihad terrorists said so?
Islamic State-linked activity has been on the rise in Israel, particularly in Judea and Samaria. The Jerusalem Post reported last May that “Israel’s defense establishment warned of a sharp rise in involvement by Israeli Arabs in the Islamic State and armed Palestinian factions operating in the northern West Bank.”
Last year, two perpetrators of a Judea and Samaria jihad terror attack turned out to be Palestinian Authority cops.
The IDF has also discovered Hamas plans for a mass jihad attack in Judea, Samaria and central Israel. And a brigadier general warned that any released jihadi prisoners would wage jihad and build militias in Judea and Samaria.
Judea and Samaria pose an extreme risk to Israelis, and thus must be kept under the tight control of Israel, despite the global gang-up against the Jewish state.

I agree with Danon, a person I have long admired, but Israel made a major mistake after the Six-Day War by not annexing the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) outright and followed by the expulsion of many so-called Palestinians to Jordan, Syria or wherever. Could anyone who supports Israel effectively argue that not doing so was the better option? Really? I don’t see how.

Yeah, and not just that: Israel should have demolished the al Aqsa mosque at least, and then let their own legal process about what to do about the ancient temple site play out. Just like India in 1992 demolished the Babri mosque, and let legal battles ensue since then before their Supreme Court finally came to a decision
Right now, I’m rooting for Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich to emerge stronger after Israel’s elections, so that the Israeli government will be forced to accept their lead on what to do about Judea, Samaria and Gaza. I know that they are among the smaller parties, but as far as this issue goes, their’s is the only one that makes sense. In fact, Smotrich’s stance has been strengthened as a result of more countries particularly in Europe deciding to ban Israeli products manufactured in Judea or Samaria: by doing that, he makes it clear to Europe that their ban is counterproductive, and only hurts the “Palestinians” rather than the Jews

At least Danny Danon (good alliteration here) uses the correct biblical names of Judea and Samaria and not “The West Bank,” a name coined by Jordan to detract from the history of Jewish occupation since Joshua crossed the Jordan River in the final leg of the exodus from Egypt.
Even Israeli newspapers from the liberal Jerusalem Post to the more conservative Israeli media make the same mistake and routinely fall into the trap and call Judea and Samaria “The West Bank.”
