Leftists all over the Western world are filled with a deep anti-Israel animus, and have allowed themselves to believe that Muslims, who share that view with still greater malice, must share their views on other subjects. That includes the view that homosexual activity should not just be tolerated, but enthusiastically supported. Muslims, however, beg to differ. And now some leftists, not quite as idiotically misinformed as some of their colleagues, seem to be dimly aware that their Muslim allies on Israel are not their allies when it comes to sexual behavior. British progressives were scandalized last week when 5Pillars, a prominent Muslim news organization known for supporting the U.K. Green Party, published a homophobic “guide” on navigating Pride month. The incident laid bare the intellectual and moral incoherence of Islamo-left alliance, providing a useful case study for Canadians who feel anxious about Muslim-led intolerance.
The short “practical” guide was written for Western Muslims and repeatedly emphasized that, according to Islamic texts and scholars, both homosexual acts and same-sex marriage are forbidden and immoral. Although it stated that same-sex attraction, being involuntary, is not inherently sinful, it encouraged homosexual Muslims to seek conversion therapy because acting on their desires is “religiously prohibited.”
Homosexuality was framed as an affliction that calls for “compassion without compromise.” Parents were further advised to monitor their children’s information diet — whether through schools, social media or popular culture — and to neutralize LGBT-inclusive messages through Islamic teaching.
The guide caused an uproar upon publication and attracted millions of views on X, partially because of its authors’ political associations.
5Pillars bills itself as “the largest English-language Muslim news site in Europe, Australia and the Americas,” and, though that self-promotional claim cannot be independently verified, the organization’s hundreds of thousands of social media followers confirm that it is not a fringe voice.
This is concerning because, since launching in 2013, 5Pillars has repeatedly peddled Islamist extremism and antisemitic conspiracy theories. Among other things, its past content has minimized the Holocaust, accused “Zionists” of being behind an LGBT conspiracy, lauded the Taliban and called for the establishment of a global Caliphate.
British regulators sanctioned the organization in 2020 after it published a video wherein co-founder Dilly Hussain — who personally has over 180,000 followers on X — described homosexuality as “a gross crime against Allah.” The organization was then sanctioned again in 2023 for publishing a podcast episode that, according to British authorities, encouraged “hatred and abuse” towards Jewish and LGBT people.
Yet, late last year, 5Pillars began to enthusiastically promote the United Kingdom’s far-left Green Party — even though the Greens support radical gender ideology, want to legalize drugs and prostitution, and are led by Zack Polanski, a gay Jewish vegan who previously worked as a theatre actor and hypnotherapist.…
It is amazing how the leftists all over the Western world have managed to overlook Islamic teachings on homosexuality. They paid little attention to the homosexuals who are killed and hung on cranes in the middle of Iranian cities. They did not notice how ISIS, both in Syria and In Iraq, routinely threw homosexuals off the top of rooftops. They ignored how homosexuals in the Palestinian territories in Gaza and the West Bank are subject to severe societal discrimination, harassment, arbitrary arrests, and physical abuse or torture by local security forces and militant factions, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
But now the clear declaration of homophobia in the leading Muslim English-language publication 5Pillars has managed to shatter the illusions of some leftists for whom LGBTQ rights are sacrosanct. And that should weaken the Islamo-leftist alliance in the UK, which would, of course, for the future of Britain, be most welcome.

Remember the Arab Spring? I clearly remember a video of a group of them having a group discussion about their methods and goals in inciting it and keeping it going. One naive participant brought up the muslim brotherhood types that were “problematic” but helping them achieve their nefarious goals. The apparent leader of this loathsome group admitted that yes, the islamists were problematic, but useful at the time and they would “find a way to deal with them” when they were no longer needed.
I bookmarked that video and went to share it (probably here) a few days later and it was gone. In the ensuing years I have been unable to find it.
They will employ suicide to achieve their goals. They are aware that taking mohammadans as allies is risky business, but they are willing to cut of their own heads to spite their faces.

Weakening the alliance will not do enough to make much of a difference. Since Muslims and leftists believe they have a common enemy the alliance may not be weakened very easily. Look at Iran. Both sides worked together to get rid of the shah. Then the undesirables were done away with.
