Ahmad Vahidi is the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which may mean that he is the man who is actually running the country. The Islamic Republic recently released video of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei having an informal chat with students, but many derided the video as old, recycled footage, and certainly there has been no definitive proof of life from Mojtaba since he was reportedly severely injured in the February 2026 airstrike that killed his father and predecessor.

No, it can’t. Islam might someday rule a self-weakened Europe but not the US, Russia, China, and likely, India – more opposition than the population of Islam.
We are armed in US. Should the US government attempt to de-arm the US citizens like Europe, it would be replaced through either the ballot box or by use of those arms – Biden’s stupid non-logistical reference to jet planes not withstanding. Even lefties will fight to keep their freedom and the citizens hold enough surplus weapons to arm them when they decide tyranny must not rule. Islam would always face an armed US citizenry.
This means that Islam will experience a civil war by heavily-armed infidels should it try an internal takeover of the US. As for Islamic war from outside the US, the Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria wars have proven, absolutely, that you cannot occupy a citizen-armed hostile nation and “win” as a foreign power. You may win battles, but ultimately, your military cannot stay. Another test of this is underway in the Ukraine war where Russia will eventually adjust its held Ukranian territory to exclude majority Ukranian-speaking areas.
This can be altered by the use of nuclear weapons, but at the first use of such weapons, by Iran or any other Islamic nation, it would get an immediate response of multiple nukes, essentially destroying that nation.
It is interesting to note that both the US and Israel are citizen-armed Democracies. Neither nation will allow Islam and it’s Sharia to rule.

About your last sentence, in Israel, gun rights have been seriously eroded over the decades, which is a major reason that October 7th successfully happened. Israel’s next government needs to revisit this & fix it

I believe that Trump knows that he has to finish the job with Iran. But, we currently have a shortage crisis with Patriot missiles that are necessary to defend our military bases and refineries and petroleum stores in our Gulf ally countries. Emergency contracts are in place to step up production, but that will probably take a year to achieve sufficient reserves. The naval blockage is currently our best weapon. But sealing routes in and out of Iran via the Caspien Sea and through Pakistan remain problematic. At this rate it will take a year’s long siege on Iran to make a dent in the current regime.

I think Ahmad Vahidi is trying to provoke a US attack, given that the regime is now opposed even by its 20% supporters due to an end to the oil subsidies, which has ended up in gasoline going up from 10,000 tomans to 87,000 tomans per liter, and that too heavily rationed. It’s a lot easier for the IRGC to fight battles than confront 100% of their population, including their supporters
