The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) appears on television more than 500 times a year, but many of those appearances are not especially newsworthy. They are reputation-building exercises: free commercials dressed up as civil-rights coverage. A press release becomes a segment, a suspicion becomes a hate-crime narrative, and CAIR gains authority without having to buy a single second of advertising.
Isabel Vincent’s new New York Post investigation shows the problem. Again and again, Muslim advocacy groups rushed to frame shootings, alleged Quran burnings, and other incidents as “Islamophobic” hate crimes, only for later evidence to complicate or collapse the original claim. By then, the narrative had already done its work. “String of high-profile ‘hate crimes’ against Muslims had nothing to do with religion: investigation,” by Isabel Vincent, New York Post, August 4, 2026:
Muslim civil rights groups are quick to label shootings, book burnings and harassment incidents as Islamophobic hate crimes, using them to raise their profiles and funds.
However, once the full evidence comes to light, such incidents are often revealed to have no religious motive at all, something the groups or liberal media outlets don’t always clarify, watchdogs point out.
A Post investigation has found four incidents where this has been the case.
Weeks after Hamas launched terrorist strikes on Israel on October 7, 2023, a man wearing Muslim robes was shot outside a mosque in Providence, Rhode Island, where he was selling Islamic books.
The 52-year-old victim was shot in the buttocks and released from hospital two hours later, claiming he was the victim of a hate crime, a police report shows.
The incident drew international headlines and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim civil rights group in America, urged Providence police to investigate the incident as a “bias” crime.
“Because we have witnessed an unprecedented spike in anti-Muslim incidents nationwide in recent weeks, we urge local, state and federal law enforcement authorities to investigate a possible bias motive for this attack,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper on the group’s website at the time.
An investigation by Real Clear Investigations recently found the victim — Dean Scott Mustafa Ramos — was not targeted in a hate crime.
“It was absolutely not a hate crime,” said Major David Lapatin, commanding officer of the Investigative Division of the Providence Police Department….
In 2023, when CAIR highlighted attacks against Muslims, donations to their national group, the CAIR Foundation, rose by nearly 16 percent from $7.5 million in 2023 to $8.7 million in 2024, public records show.

“British Muslim charity funded Hamas, says FBI”
“Mohammad Yousef Hasna, global director of the Al-Khair Foundation, was arrested in London last week and faces extradition to the US
A British Muslim charity has been used to bankroll Hamas, the FBI has said.
The Al-Khair Foundation, one of Britain’s biggest Muslim charities, was used as a front to send money and “truckloads” of goods to leaders of the terrorist organisation in Gaza under the guise of aid, it is alleged.”

Billy Bones says
One of our early presidents, John Quincy Adams, was a self-taught expert on Islam. Here is a quote from his writings that is very applicable to our dealings with Islam today. “The commands of the prophet may be performed alike by fraud or force.” The Muslim Brotherhood with its numerous alphabet soup affiliates such as CAIR are the “fraud” arm, the grifter arm, of Islamic jihad today. One could make the argument that today the fraud/grifter arm of Islamic jihad is more effective than the “force” arm. For example, the fraud/grifter arm was able to con several US senators into boycotting a senate hearing on this very topic.

“‘Man trolls Texas mosque protesters. Not everyone gets the joke””
“A packed McKinney City Council meeting over a proposed mosque already had plenty of tension. Then one speaker walked to the microphone and made the room even more uncomfortable.
During public comment Tuesday, a man pretending to be a Muslim supporter of the project, donned in an obviously fake beard and oversized turban, launched into an intentionally exaggerated speech filled with stereotypes about Islam, Sharia law and Muslims-apparently as satire aimed at the opposition gathered inside City Hall.
“Assalamu alaikum. My name is Mahdt Rostamizadeh Durka Durka Mohammed Hezbollah Nijad Hamas,” the speaker began, before telling council members he supported the mosque because it would supposedly pave the way for a “Sharia board.””
“Despite hours of heated public comment, the council ultimately approved the project 7-0”
The size: “Virginia Parkway. City records show the proposal calls for a religious assembly site at 5301, 5311 and 5321 Virginia Parkway.”
