German Leftists Meet Jihad Attack With Denial and Fantasy

How else do leftists understand the world?

An Islamic jihadi named Abdul Ballout drove his car into a crowd at Berlin’s premier Gay Pride event, the Christopher Street Day (CSD) parade, on Saturday, killing one person and injuring 29. In response, leftists done what they always do: ignore the nature and magnitude of jihad violence, portrayed Muslims as the real victims, and blamed the “far right.” Did you expect them instead to face reality? The people who once silenced and deplatformed you for insisting that men cannot become women, and will do it again once they get the chance, will never do that. They’re at war with reality.

The Christopher Street Day (CSD) parade organizers got the ball rolling in the immediate aftermath of the attack, when they declared: “We don’t want this act to be exploited for political purposes or for people to be placed under general suspicion. Such violence is an attempt to divide our society and incite people against each other. We, as Berlin CSD, will not allow this.” But they were by no means alone.

A singer at the CSD parade said that she had hoped that the murderer was “no Kanake, but a Christian white person.” “Kanake” is a word that is usually regarded as offensive, and refers to Muslims and Arabs.

Leftists love Muslims and Islam because they hate Christians and Christianity, and Judeo-Christian civilization. Ironically, their hatred for Christianity stems largely from their rejection of its sexual morality, particularly regarding homosexuality. And despite mountains of evidence, they refuse to believe that their Muslim allies don’t love them back, or that Islam has a death penalty for homosexual activity.

And so this young woman was hoping that the perpetrator would turn out to be one of the people she hates, rather than one of those she loves. But alas, no such luck.

Another woman, her hair dyed a lurid pink, said sadly: “So the suspect is an Islamic extremist. That’s their suspect right now. That’s what I read. Okay. I’m not going to say anything about the rest of the Muslim population because of the actions of this one person. But what I can say is the people who were celebrating about this were all white men. Young white men with crosses in their profiles. Because we’ve all seen it. We’ve all seen how you guys react towards gay people and how you wish harm on them, constantly. I get a constant hate on my videos, especially about trans people. You’re not going to hide behind another scapegoat group and pretend that they’re actually the violent ones, when it’s you. You hold the same exact beliefs that this man who did this attack did and you’re trying to distance yourself from it. And you know why you’re trying to do that? It’s because you’re ashamed, and you should be.”

In fact, no. She doesn’t name the young men she is referring to, but Christianity does not hold the same beliefs as Abdul Ballout. Islam prescribes death for homosexual activity: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot [Lot], execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.’” (Sunan Abu Dawud 4462)

While many Christians disapprove of homosexual activity and consider it a serious sin, there is no warrant in Christian scripture or tradition for putting to death those who engage in it. This young woman, however, has been indoctrinated to think that Muslims are her allies as innocent victims of “Islamophobia,” and that Christians are the real enemy, so she cannot evaluate a jihad attack against homosexuals for what it is. It has nothing to do with Islamic teachings regarding doing violence to homosexuals. It has to be simply another instance of evil Christian men scapegoating some more innocent victims.

Meanwhile, a German establishment media “journalist” magisterially intoned: “The queer community naturally feels threatened, above all, by right-wing forces.”

This is, of course, howlingly absurd, for it is not “right-wing forces” whose belief system tells them to murder homosexuals; it is Islamic jihadis whose belief system tells them to do that. Yet the leftist media, and leftists in general, are so self-deluded that they actually believe that Islam is peaceful and tolerant, and that only racist, bigoted “Islamophobes” think otherwise.

No amount of evidence will convince them otherwise; they hold this view as if it were a cherished religious dogma, and for them, it is.
