There is a sound legal basis for doing this, as the Post story quoted below notes: “The legal framework cited by petitioners rests on the New York Constitution and Public Officers Law, which give the governor the means to remove a public officer for misconduct in office upon charges, notice, and a hearing.”
It will, however, never happen. Hochul isn’t about to initiate removal proceedings against Mamdani, who represents the only future the Democrat Party has: Marxist, non-American, non-Christian, non-Jewish, and against all four. She would be roundly denounced as a tool of Trump and driven from office if she moved against Mamdani.

The End Jew Hatred movement has formally launched a petition calling on New York Gov. Kathy Hochul to initiate removal proceedings against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani under Section 9 of the New York Public Officers Law. The campaign follows a series of incidents and mounting political backlash over the administration’s public safety record and rhetoric.
The push for his removal stems directly from violent attacks in Manhattan, including an incident on July 23 in which two men were stabbed four minutes and two blocks apart on the Upper West Side.
The victims included Chok Sung, 57, and Moshe Grunhaus, 50, who was “stabbed in the torso as he walked home from his synagogue on West 86th, 200 feet from the doors.”
Activists and community organizers argue that the administration has failed to protect vulnerable minorities, noting that neither man was protected from a man yelling “Allahu Akbar!”
Central to the petition’s grievances are accusations regarding equal protection and hate crimes, noting that the mayor revoked the city’s antisemitism framework [International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance] on his first day in office and replaced it with nothing.
Three months later, Mamdani’s own police commissioner reported hate crimes up nearly 12% citywide, with 55% targeting Jews, who represent about 10% of the city’s population.

Furthermore, the petition’s authors took issue with the administration’s use of official platforms, highlighting that city channels were used to declare a foreign head of government, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a war criminal and unwelcome in a video seen over 90 million times, while the mayor later conceded he had no power to arrest the premier….The campaign launch featured a demonstration outside state offices where journalist and commentator Zack Sage Fox said, “We are standing outside of Kathy Hochul’s office to demand proceedings to remove Mayor Mamdani” and emphasized, “we are doing this with a legal argument, with the law on our side.”
Activist Anila Ali rejected the mayor’s rhetoric, stating that he represents “a very toxic ideology which is the DSA, the Islamists, that’s not acceptable to the majority of Muslims living in America.”…
Its acceptability or non-acceptability to the majority of Muslims living in America (Anila Ali did not, interestingly, say “American Muslims”) has not been established. But Mamdani has Islam’s numerous deeply antisemitic texts on his side.

Hochul may not do anything, but Bruce Blakeman, her opponent in the November 3, 2026 election will probably remove Mamdani if and when he takes office on January 2, 2027. Blakeman is now only 4 percentage points behind, and the gap is closing. If Hochul wins, Florida here I come!
Economically, Hochul has trashed NY. She doesn’t think anybody should have natural gas appliances. She supported NYC’s congestion pricing, so if a motorist drives into Manhattan during the day, even if just passing through, he pays $9 to NYC’s coffers in addition to bridge and tunnel tolls. Generally she supports a tax and piss away bloated budget, where upstate NYers, who are not particularly well off, pay for the follies of NYC, Buffalo, and other large cities.

Agreed. Hochul will never do it though she should. The woman is a moral idiot, deficient in common sense and woeful respecting general knowledge (e.g., imagine what she knows about the founding of the state of Israel). She is just one more clown in an office with great power but she will consistently misuse that power. She has done so in the past and will continue to do so into the future. Meanwhile, the smiling Muslim who detests America is mayor of the largest and most important city in the USA. He ain’t going anywhere, at least if it’s up to Hochul.

Right now a voting fraud scandal in Mamdani election of 2025 is about to open up .The special real estate surcharge tax on high end homes for part time residents (people not entitles to vote in NYC) is suppose to go in effect .It was estimated that between 15000 to 60000 homes would be effected .The number on the list that just came out is about 960000 ,that in a city of about 9 million .They used the “registered voting rolls” to get that list. With voting turn out of under 25 percent of register voters in that election people are questioning the voter rolls . Many people on that list of “unregister voters” are long time residents from republican pockets of the city that have no second homes outside the city many said they voted in the election and not for Mamdani. Cuomo lost the election I think by less then 200k votes .
