‘Republicans’ Worst Nightmare’ is Apparently a Socialist Man Who Thinks He’s a Woman

It’s more of a joke than a nightmare, but it is, in fact, still scary.

“My name is Dina Nina,” the chunky fellow with the “Trans Rights Are Labor Rights: Starbucks Workers United” t-shirt announces, “and I’m running for the state assembly to be Republicans’ worst nightmare — a transgender woman who lives in poverty, wants to legalize weed and thinks everybody deserves affordable housing and healthcare. Yikes!”

If you’ve not ever actually had a nightmare featuring a mentally ill man running for office on a platform of resentment, hatred, confiscation and delusion, join the club. But Dina Nina, whose full name is apparently, and at least for the moment, Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford, is undaunted, and continues: “I’m the exact opposite of what you typically get in that building,” by which he presumably means the Wisconsin state house.

Actually, the Wisconsin state house is likely already full of people whose political views closely resemble those of Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford, and that’s the legitimately scary part. For Dina himself is currently an alderman on the Common Council of the city of Madison, although the council’s website lists him as “Alder Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford,” because, you see, this guy cannot, must not, be called any kind of “man.” The “About Alder Dina Nina Martinez- Rutherford (she/her)” page makes it clear that this “worst nightmare” of Republicans holds all the views you’d expect, the requisite political positions of a modern-day leftist.

“I am a small business owner and creative entrepreneur,” Dina tells us. “I am a comedian and speaker who is passionate about educating companies and organizations around transgender and gender identity issues and inclusion. This passion led me to creating Lady Laughs Comedy, a company that coaches, supports and celebrates funny women in comedy.” Apparently at least one of the funny women in comedy is a man, and of course the city of Madison loves that fact: “Lady Laughs Comedy is also a Best of Madison winning company.”

The big guy also says: “I am also on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee for KW2, and have worked with Abortion Access Front and independent clinics in the Midwest that provide reproductive care as well as gender affirming care.” Of course. What would be surprising would be if Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford were not involved with DEI, gender delusion, and pro-abortion initiatives, or didn’t think that the government should confiscate money from productive people in order to finance housing and healthcare for the non-productive, but as it turns out, he is an extremely conventional and unsurprising nightmare.

Dina Nina’s delusions don’t stop with his fantasy that he is a woman. They also include his narcissistic assumption that he is a plucky political outsider, courageously challenging the comfortably entrenched bigwigs. He tries to position himself in his campaign video as a maverick, but the reality is that he is the establishment personified. If there is any real nightmare here, it is that socialists such as Dina have taken over the Democrat Party, and that their insane views, which, if fully implemented, would wreck the economy and the nation as a whole, have become mainstream.

Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford’s life history is not readily available online, and that’s fine, but it’s a safe assumption that he had parents, and that they, having been presented with a newborn baby boy, did not name him “Dina Nina.” But Dina Nina didn’t need to go to all the trouble to trick himself out with a new name, new identity, and new gender. He could have called himself “Democrat Candidate #600,” and everyone would have known exactly where he stands on every single issue, without his having to spend a penny on campaign ads, yard signs, or anything else.

The scariest part of this self-described “nightmare” is that he is just another one of these guys, and that there are so very many of them. I mean socialists, not men who think they’re women, but actually the statement holds true either way, and either way, the commonality of the Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherfords of the world is a clear symptom of the fact that, as our Age of Absurdity progresses to its inevitable end, our society has contracted a deep, all-encompassing malady, and that malady is one that won’t be cured at the ballot box.
