The history of Islam, as well as its current mainstream practice, shows it is a violent and oppressive religion. Christians and Jews/Israel continue to be persecuted.
Islam long ago conquered Christians across the Middle East. Britannica notes this briefly about the historic Crusades: they “were organized by western European Christians in response to centuries of Muslim wars of expansion. Their objectives were to check the spread of Islam, to retake control of the Holy Land in the eastern Mediterranean.”
The bottom line is that Islam has never coexisted in peace with Christians and Jews, nor with Hindus or any other infidels.
Far too many Christians and Jews pretend that DEI will tame Islam, or convince its adherents to collectively accept religious rights and freedoms.
Israel learned a hard lesson on October 7: appeasement doesn’t work. Even this lesson came only after 75 years since its founding.
The pope betrays those whom he represents: the Christians who are experiencing persecution deserve to hear his voice speaking out in their defense. Theologian Layne Wallace, with references to important history, ably explains all this in the article below.

Pope Leo LXI [sic] made news for during his recent trip through Africa. Both the trip and his actions on the trip have brought into focus his views toward Islam. Believing that Christians and Muslims can live in peace, the Pope encouraged conversation and mutual respect.
None of this is new for Pope Leo. Back in December of 2025, he said regarding Islam, “ … We should, perhaps, be a little less fearful … ”[3] of Islam. His words and actions demonstrate a dangerous naivety about the world in general and Islam in specific. Islam is a dangerous, murderous, and destructive force. It always has been.
Missing the Historical Picture
Algiers was Christian until the 6th century like most of the Muslim world, when Arab invasions subdued the nation and imposed Islam. Christians have been a persecuted minority ever since. Throughout history, whenever Islamic armies were victorious, they have killed, tortured, raped, and subjugated Christians. Were this pattern only relegated to the past, it could be left alone. The pattern continues.
Missing the Present
Notably absent from the Pope’s itinerary was Nigeria. The ground of Nigeria is soaked in the blood of Christians murdered by Muslims. The Vatican itself reports that Islamists have murdered 50,000-125,000 Christians in the last 14 years.[4]….

Popes are considered infallible only when pronouncing on Catholic doctrine, not on anything else. So perhaps the present Pope should refrain from opining on matters he clearly has a very limited knowledge of. (But he won’t.)

The ‘Church of Rome’, under Pope Urban II helped to organize the first Crusade in 1095 A.D./CE to those who have bowed to politics.
These Crusades continued to the late 13th century.
The Crusades were to help stop Islamic aggression and conquest throughout the Holy Land and Middle East, keeping it away from Christian countries in Europe.
Pope Leo is nothing but a sheep in wolf’s clothing and a charlatan.

I don’t think he does believe that. How can **anyone** with even one working brain cell believe it?
The only way would be for Christians to be nearly 100% of the population, and the few muzzlims would know they couldn’t gain power with only a few. But, they would have babies and try to convert until they had a larger percentage. Then, the ‘peace’ would end.
The ‘pope’ has to know that muzzlims hate Christians and want all dead. But, he’s an evil false shepherd, a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ and is deliberately leading as many ‘sheep” as he can away from the ‘faith.’
The Bible says these ‘false shepherds” will “not treat the flock with tenderness.”
This ‘false shepherd’ treats the muzzlims with “tenderness” while he feeds the Christians to the “ravenous wolves.”

In fact, I would wager to sincerely bet there are many more Muslim imams, for example Egypt or something or the UAE, who would point out terrorism is wrong or the faults of Islamism, than would the radical Islamic Pope.

Maybe this pope knows something on other issues but, when it comes to islam, he is a bloody idiot, a complete disgrace. I disagree that he’s a moral idiot. He obviously stands up for Muslims if they’re in trouble. Like Gaza, and the Iranian terrorists we stuck, so he certainly has some value for human life. But only for his own people, the Muslims, not for his enemies the Christians and Jews.
Maybe if he just tells us one more time how great and peaceful Islam is, we will have peace.
