NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife Rama Duwaji ditched America’s 250th anniversary, jetting off this week for an Islamic “spiritual wellness” retreat on the Spanish resort island of Mallorca ahead of the patriotic celebration, The Post has learned.
The Dallas-raised, Dubai-educated, Syrian-American artist – who has a long history of bashing the US — was spotted at Newark International Airport on Monday, boarding an eight-hour flight to Palma, Mallorca’s capital city in the Western Mediterranean.
She was heading to a sold-out retreat run by The Women’s Sanctuary. The 29-year-old illustrator and ceramist is the for-profit’s “artist in residence” and among the gathering’s hosts.

Zohran Mamdani, meanwhile, delivered a “robust” speech in front of George Washington’s desk, promoting open-door immigration into the U.S.; in other words, destroying America from within and encouraging migrants to flout the rule of law. In efforts to capture the hearts of an already supportive leftist crowd, he described “seeing the Statue of Liberty from the window of the plane when he first arrived in the U.S. at just 7 years old,” and spent the bulk of his speech claiming that immigrants have a terrible time in the U.S. and that the country had not lived up to its promise. Highlighting the couple’s obvious disdain for America was the contrasting display of celebrations from foreign countries. In a spectacular show, the British Royal Air Force painted the sky red, white and blue over New York City harbor with its Red Arrows for America’s 250th birthday. Congratulations also came in from the royal family. France’s Air and Space Force’s Patrouille de France also performed “spectacular flyovers across the East Coast,” to conclude with “a final aerial parade over Washington, D.C., and New York City, where they left vibrant red, white, and blue smoke trails over the Statue of Liberty.” And Japan celebrated July 4 “with spectacular festivities in Tokyo,” which included a massive drone show and fireworks.

Mamdani’s city-owned markets will force the small bodega markets out of business where the big-box stores have already left due to theft and violence. The people in those areas will need to travel farther to shop and when the government markets fail the people will need to ride busses even farther to shop, a food desert beyond current imagining.
The 4th of July power shutdown in the Bronx proved conclusively that people are not turning up their AC threshold to 78°F as Mamdani requested. The bodegas (pocket stores) had to dump perishables, meat, ice cream, etc, and take one for the gypper.
Notice that the location of the power turn-off, the Bronx, was selected by the power company to avoid system-wide failure. There may have been politics/economics in that choice.
Corporations and landlords are bailing out of NY in an, “Escape From NYC”, before it’s a poverty prison.
OPM is vanishing before Mandani’s eyes. Maybe the wife’s is for keeping relations outside the US alive in case an eventual exit is needed.
A smart Muslim immigrant would go to the Midwest, Rocky Mountans, Great Lakes region, or the West Coast, not NYC.

Too true! The Spanish Reconquista took 700 years minimum. It also combined the mistakes of the expulsion and persecution of the Jews and The Inquisition.
I’m hoping the American “ReConstitution” is much quicker and that we defeat/ expel all who are opposed to our Constitution, both foreign and domestic.
That the U S only allies with countries, like Israel, that have proven their value and friendship to America. Cynical agreements are sometimes necessary but shouldn’t be mistaken for friends.
