Nothing to do with Islam.
The first rule of writing about Islam is that nothing that Muslims do wrong is their fault. Whether it’s raping kids or killing cartoonists, it’s always the fault of some outside force, capitalism, America, Israel or global warming.
Take ‘child rape’ or ‘child marriage’ or ‘child slavery’, a traditional Islamic practice which the media once upon a time used to actually report on, but which it now can only report on by blaming some outside factor.
Last month, I wrote about a BBC report that falsely blamed child marriage in Afghanistan on President Trump’s USAID cuts (why were Muslims in Afghanistan raping kids and selling their daughters before Trump and America) and the AP blamed child marriage in Gaza on Israel (no word on why there was the same rate of child marriage across the border in Egypt and why Mohammed ‘married’ a 7-year-old).
And now the media is at it again with Australia’s ABC blaming Muslim child marriage on… global warming.
Twelve million girls are tipped to become child brides this year, according to Plan International. Child marriage is a global problem across cultures and religions.
Really? All religions?
South Asia, one of the most vulnerable regions to the impacts of climate change, accounts for most of the world’s child marriages. Bangladesh has the highest rate in Asia according to Plan International, with more than 50 per cent of girls married before they turn 18.
Bangladesh just suffered an Islamist coup and is busy purging its non-Muslim Hindu population. According to the UN, the child marriage rate in Bangladesh is over 50%. Half of women give birth before they’re 18.
But to summarize, even though child marriage is common in Islam, and Mohammed ‘married’ a child, when there’s child marriage in Afghanistan, it’s because of Trump, when there’s child marriage in Gaza, it’s because of Israel, and when there’s child marriage in Bangladesh, it’s because of global warming.
Nothing to do with Islam.

This seems to imply almost that the Mainstream Media are tacitly admitting that child marriage is morally inadmissible, all of a sudden.

My wake up call was when I started learning about Gaza. Everyone was saying the obvious, Israeli as starving the kids of Gaza. But then I looked and the numbers of that claim didn’t add up.
Hamas was taking the food away. And then i learned about this under age marrying, and other things. Too bad I can’t get through these conversations with my friends.

Muslims justify child marriage in Islam because Muhammed did it.
In Sahih al-Bukhari 5134, Aisha narrated that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that Aisha remained with the Prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death).
In Sahih Muslim 1422 c, Aisha reported that Allah’s Apostle married her when she was seven years old, and she was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old.
If Muhammed, born in 570 AD and died in 632AD at the age of 62 and Aisha was 18 y.o. when he died, then Muhammed must have been around 53 y.o. when he consummated his marriage with the then nine year old Aisha.
And before some say that paedophilia was common in the 7th Century, or it was a different time then, it should be noted that in the Qur’an, which all Muslims believe is enduring and immutable, all Muslims believe that in Chapter 33 Verse 21 of the Qur’an, Allah says “Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often.”
All Muslims believe Muhammed was and is an excellent example of a man because Allah tells them so in the Qur’an. Muhammed’s example of behaviour applies to all Muslims in the contemporary 21st Century.
So the question to all Muslims is – was Muhammed in his 50’s marrying a six or seven year old girl, then having sex with the girl when she turned 9 y.o., an excellent example of the behaviour that Muslim men can and should replicate in the 21st Century, or was it not an excellent example for contemporary Muslim men to follow?
And the question to all Leftists is – if Jeffery Epstein, Prince Andrew, Gary Glitter and Jimmy Saville, to name a few, are all to be condemned for having sex with a girl or woman not yet 18 y.o., should Islam’s Prophet Muhammed be similarly publicly condemned for having sex with a nine year old girl while in his 50’s, and if not, why not?
And if Muhammed should be condemned for having had sex with a nine year old girl, which Democrats or prominent Leftists have publicly condemned Muhammed and when and where did they make this condemnation? For example, has Barack Obama, Joe Biden or Kamala Harris ever publicly condemned Muhammed for Aisha’s claim that Muhammed had sex with her when she was nine? Or does “believe all women” not mean “believe Aisha”?

When in reality, climate has always changed, and done so due to factors way beyond human control – not just CO2, but also things like water vapor levels, volcanos, the tides, the currents and so on. There is no way we can make it all constant, at 70℉ all the time everywhere, w/ a 30% chance of moderate rainfall and so on

I have never seen any evidence for man-made climate change. But if the globe was warming–for any reason–I can see how it might affect access to water, excess heat, and growing crops.
But why would it make you want to rape children?
Besides, we see Islamic and Infidel nations next to each other all the time–and child marriage is a problem in Dar-al-Islam, and not in Infidel nations. Gaza has a problem–Israel does not. Afghanistan does, Russia and China–whatever their other problems–do not.
Then, Infidel nations that are particularly hot do not have this problem, either.
As other posters have already meantioned, it has to do with Islam sacralizing pedophilia, on the basis of “Prophet” Muhammad having married a six year old and raping her at nine.

As I worked avroad for many years, the BBC was my main source of news. I have not listened to BBC for many years owing to their bias and false reporting. It is full of Muslims thanks to DEI and is widely treated in with contempt by many of the public.even in UK

Global warming is a tool used to make money because there is no global warming.
The weather is cyclical, always has been.
Child marriages are done by perverted men especially in Islam, as stated earlier by another person, Mohammed married a child therefore so can I. Parents allow this for money, usually they are poor and many mouths to feed.

Bexarkat, I *have* seen this blamed on Jews. The idea–to the extent that there is one–seems to be that Israel’s defending herself made Gaza poorer, so poor Gazans have to sell their little daughters to make money.
Several problems with this–firstly, it is only in the Islamic world that marrying childen is a big thing. Then, if everyone in Gaza is supposedly suffering, who is buying these little girls?
Finally, how many decent people, even if they were in financial straits, would sell their little girls to pedophiles? Just crap.
