Germany Sure Can Do This!

As long as Germans can keep on outrunning the knife-wielding Muslims.

As then-German Chancellor Angela Merkel flung open her nation’s doors to millions of Muslim migrants back in 2015, she offered her unfortunate countrymen, who had no idea what they were in for, a slogan for the whole enterprise that was positively American in its chipper optimism: Wir schaffen das, or “We can do this!” In the eleven years since then, Merkel’s perky phrase has proven true in innumerable contexts: Germans sure can do this! As long, that is, as they keep on outrunning the knife-wielding Muslim migrants.

The German-language Junge Freiheit reported that last Wednesday morning, “an Afghan man apparently attempted to stab several people at the Ruhpolding train station. As the incident occurred early in the morning, schoolchildren were involved; they fled the station and subsequently hid. According to current information, no one was injured. The suspected knife attacker has been arrested. The Afghan man is reportedly an asylum seeker who is already known to the police.”

Good thing this poor fellow is seeking asylum in Germany. After all, Afghanistan these days is a dangerous place. A gentle soul like him could get hurt. It’s also a good thing that schoolchildren were among his targets, because they were young and agile enough to outrun him and elude his knife. These schoolchildren are thus learning important skills that they will need in order to survive in the new Germany that Merkel and her successors have bestowed upon a grateful world.

You’ll also be relieved to learn, especially in light of some of the less stellar periods of Germany’s past, that German authorities are treating this poor would-be knifeman with the utmost care and respect: “a police spokesperson stated that the investigation against the Afghan man is currently limited to charges of making threats.” They’re being this circumspect despite the fact that video footage “shows the Afghan man lunging at passersby with a drawn knife, making a stabbing motion toward a man’s back, and chasing after the victims.”

It seems that, according to a woman who saw the whole thing unfold, “the Afghan man had already been acting strangely on the train, speaking incoherently on the phone and causing a disturbance. A ticket inspector subsequently asked the man to leave the carriage, at which point he allegedly shoved her. When another conductor rushed over to assist, the Afghan man reportedly drew a blade measuring a good 15 centimeters in length.” Well, that’s one way to make threats.

The same eyewitness “reported that a group of schoolchildren fled the train and sought refuge in a local bakery. Thanks to an emergency call placed immediately, police arrived at the scene within minutes. A police support station has currently been set up at the elementary school gymnasium to take witness statements and determine exactly who was threatened and pursued by the man.” Meanwhile, the cops are keeping mum about who this grateful refugee really is: “police could not yet disclose the man’s exact residency status, how long he has lived in Germany, or whether he resides in the Ruhpolding asylum shelter that features a swimming pool, citing the ongoing investigation.”

Once this man’s identity is known, Ruhpolding authorities ought to give him an award for courageously blazing the pathway toward the new Germany. This is what it means that, as Merkel vowed, “we can do this.” Germans can do it, all right, as long as they remain able to outrun the knife-wielding migrants.

And as if all that weren’t enough, the Daily Mail also reported on Wednesday that “police have this morning shot a man who witnesses say screamed ‘Allahu Akbar’ and fired a ‘musket-like’ gun outside a German supermarket.” The warrior for Allah, was “a Turkish citizen who was wielding ‘what appeared to be a musket’, after he screamed the Islamic religious saying.” The Mail informs us that “it is not known why the man carried out his actions. Cops are looking into whether he had any connection to any of the employees of the store.” And the cops who shot him could be in hot water: “They are also looking at whether the police’s use of service weapons was legal.”

Not only do police not know “why the man carried out his actions,” even after he told them quite plainly (“Allahu akbar,” Allah is greater, is a declaration of Islam’s supremacy and superiority, and jihadis often scream it as they commit acts of violence in order to emphasize that Allah has shown his greatness in this very attack, from which the infidel’s god was unable to save him). Even worse, they’re trying to determine “whether the police’s use of service weapons was legal” because they shot the jihadi. It could be illegal in Germany, you see, to defend oneself and others from Islamic jihadis.

What sane nation would do this to itself? What sane society would continue to elect leaders who do this to their country?
