Deradicalization programs have a solid track record of failure. Jihadists are violent criminals, but violent criminals are not necessarily jihadists. Prison reform in the West is geared toward Western culture, not that of the Sharia.
The most violent criminals in western countries who are not jihadists know they did something wrong, despite whatever psychological profile that may have impacted them. Jihadists, on the other hand, deeply believe they are doing a good deed. Murdering an infidel is the highest calling in Islam, even elevating the jihadist to “martyrdom” if he dies in the way of jihad. No infidel could possibly reverse that belief in a deradicalization program that the jihadist was forced to attend in an infidel system.
As for the progressive women identified below to be running the program in Germany: Bleeding hearts think they’re extending kindness and help to the poor, beleaguered immigrants who land on their doorstep. Their suicidal empathy gives them a twisted sense of personal value. It’s a similar mindset to that of the LGBTQ+ community, which supports open-door immigration from Muslim countries, despite the hatred and severe penalties for gays in these same countries. Also, the LBBTQ+ community overwhelmingly supports the Palestinian “resistance” collectively when they’re only safe in Israel, particularly among the Jewish population.
The “progressive white women” identified below are clueless about the jihad, the minds of jihad terrorists (juveniles included) and their own status as women in Islam. The families of the victims (with more victims likely to likely come) will now suffer as a result of a political and legal system that repeatedly fails to protect them.
There is no Western reform system equipped to deal with the jihadist mind.

This May, a German juvenile court convicted him of preparing a serious state-endangering violent act and sentenced him to one year and 10 months in prison. However, the court released him and instead ordered him to attend three days of “deradicalization sessions” with the Violence Prevention Network. This poster points out that the sessions were run by progressive white women.
Despite knowing he was a terrorist, German authorities dealt with Abdul Ballout, the Berlin Pride killer, by sending him on a three-day (spread over six weeks from mid June) ‘violence prevention’ course.

Generation Y and Z are taught nothing of any significance in school, these days. I am Generation X, and when I went to high school, I had a history teacher (of no particular political affiliation that I knew of) who taught my class quite a few things about how ideology can turn into dictatorship, both left-wing and right-wing.
He also made a clear comparison between the totalitarian regimes during the Second World War, mainly Hitler on the one hand and Stalin on the other hand.
And thus, he taught my class that totalitarians always use the same methods in order to :
1) keep their grasp on power
2) do the utmost to silence everyone who criticizes the regime (extrajudicial killings, sending people to concentration / labor camps, like Gulags etc.)

Jose Pimentel’s recent arrest by New York City police for plotting a bomb attack has kindled debate about Latinos and terrorism. In the polemic, some see the relationship between Latinos and extremism as tenuous at best, serving only to foment fear and new layers of anti-Latino sentiment amidst increasingly fierce beliefs about immigration. From this view, being branded “Muslim” is yet another way of marginalizing Latinos.
Other critics, however, take a different position and see the string of post-9/11 terrorist acts as disproportionately involving Latino Muslims. From Jose Padilla to Daniel Maldonado, Antonio Martinez, Carlos Almonte and Bryant Neal Vinas, Pimentel’s activities represent a trend that is taking shape despite the small percentage of Latino Muslims in the United States.
A more nuanced look at Latino conversion offers insight into the debate by positing Latino converts as radical by nature. Here, use of the term “radical,” which means “root” or “origins,” is not a hyped-up rhetorical flourish, but rather, a description of how some Latinos embrace Islam as a way of connecting with their Hispanic heritage. Hence the nature of conversion is “radical” due to the reclaiming of Islamic Spanish roots. In other words, something more profound occurs: when Latinos convert to Islam, they are not simply turning to a new faith, they are reconnecting with an uprooted past.
The face of radicalism appears more extreme when converts also harbor feelings of oppression. For some converts, social discrimination and police profiling may be sources for these feelings, while others look at Christianity as the fountain of their woes. In such instances, Islam can become a strategy to distance oneself from the Church’s sordid past and sex-scandalous present. Yet arguably more so than any of these factors, the prison experience defines Latino oppression. In fact, the traumas experienced by inmates may be a direct cause of conversion, and the logic is simple: dangers and deprivations force inmates to turn to God for help.
Historical and present oppression, and most prominently, unfairness in criminal justice give prison converts plenty of fuel for resentment. NPR reports that officials have been tracking an increasing number of prison converts who “redirect their criminal energies and engage in terrorism.” Moreover, the spread of “Prislam” groups, which are guided by religious elements and gang values, offer a model of organization that may resonate with Latinos, who run the largest prison gangs in the country. Thus, despite that some political pundits point to foreign jihadists as the source of resentment and anger among American Muslims, the more likely source of oppression is homegrown, much of which is sown in the American criminal justice system.
This analysis posits Latino conversion as more than the adoption of a new worldview – it involves the bonus of rediscovering one’s roots, making the conversion “radical” in the truest sense of the term. The combination of radicalism and feelings of oppression makes for a volatile mix that can produce extreme results. As Islam continues to make inroads in Latino communities, it will become clearer if this proposition proves an insight to Latino involvement in post-9/11 terror, and rather than historical blips, Padilla, Pimentel, and others are prologue to a new chapter in American jihad.

Is these derad classes supposed to make the women seem safer?

It’s easy enough to understand why such things happen.
First of all, multicultural indoctrination leads to overestimating your capabilities, i.e. naivety.
Second of all, it makes you intellectually indolent, you don’t really scrutinize the subject / issue at hand. (Jihadism + Islam)
Last but not least, most people have a tedious knack of taking someone else’s word for it, as in “what this person claims about himself is probably true.” People will too often be deceived by first impressions.
I am an avid reader of true crime books, and I can think of serial killers, for instance, who behaved like model prisoners. When examined by psychiatrists and after appearing before the parole board, they were no longer deemed “a n risk to society” and were set free.
Only to commit more serial murders afterwards. Simply because they told their psychiatrist and the parole board exactly what they wanted to hear !
A prime example would be serial killer Edmund Kemper, who at age 15 landed himself in Atascadero State Hospital, after having killed his grandparents.
The psychiatrists’ reports stated that Kemper showed “no flight of ideas, no interference with thought, no expression of delusions or hallucinations, and no evidence of bizarre thinking.” They also observed him to be intelligent and introspective. Initial testing measured his IQ at 136, more than two standard deviations above average. At Atascadero, he was given another IQ test, which produced a higher result of 145.
Kemper endeared himself to his psychiatrists by being a model prisoner, and he was trained to administer psychiatric tests to other inmates. A psychiatrist later said, “He was a very good worker[,] and this is not typical of a sociopath. He really took pride in his work.” Kemper also became a member of the Jaycees while in Atascadero and claimed to have developed “some new tests and some new scales on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory,” specifically an “Overt Hostility Scale”, during his work with Atascadero psychiatrists. After his final arrest (1973), Kemper said that being able to understand how these tests functioned allowed him to manipulate his psychiatrists, admitting that he learned a lot from the sex offenders to whom he administered tests.
In 1969, on his 21st birthday, Kemper was released on parole from Atascadero. Afterwards, he was convicted of murdering seven women, including his own mother, and one girl between May 1972 and April 1973.
That’s exactly what can happen when so-called experts consider you to be “the genuine article”.
