Translation: “I’m speechless. The attack with the rampage drive on the CSD in my beautiful Berlin just before an election is water on the mills of the far-right. The perpetrator? The 21-year-old German Abdul B. The problem is masculinity! We as a society have failed; Abdul was only released from the youth prison in May and would have needed more support for his reintegration. I can’t understand that the state didn’t pay for his participation in seminars on critical masculinity. Abdul needed our help.”
This is akin to the tendency of Western officials to ascribe jihad violence to mental illness. The cause simply can’t be Islam, because leftists are certain that Islam is benign, peaceful, and tolerant, and that only the hated “far right” insists, in its racism and “Islamophobia,” that there could conceivably be any problem with the religion. And so the cause must be something else. Clara Füllmich-Pfister doesn’t say that Abdul Ballout is mentally ill; her explanation is that he was suffering from a toxic masculinity that a seminar or two would have cured. Ironically, German authorities were trying to get Abdul into a “deradicalization” program, which wouldn’t have worked either, when he carried out his jihad attack.

Actually, it seems where ever the left goes Jew hatred follows, it is just as baked in the leftist ideology as in islam. Even here in Germany, albeit more subtile and not absolute, but i cannot tell you how many Holocaust minimizers i meet. It seems, to the left here, minimizing the impact of the Holocaust is a bit less taboo than outright denial. By minimizing, i mean they claim the official number of deaths is greatly exaggerated. That is actually illegal to do in Germany, to deny or minimize the Holocaust (called “Shoa” here)
