This doesn’t sound like the talk of a representative of a regime that has been battered into submission and is anxious to make a deal. Rather, Manouchehr Mottaki sounds as if he is perfectly secure in his position, and doesn’t have any regard for how his words will look to the American public or to the world at large. The Islamic Republic has won. The world has to accommodate it. It doesn’t have to accommodate the world.
“Former Iranian FM Manouchehr Mottaki Calls To Kill Trump To Avenge Ali Khamenei: The Iranian People Have The Right To Kill Trump And Netanyahu; I Am Setting This Into Motion,” MEMRI, June 21, 2026:
Former Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki called for killing U.S. President Trump as vengeance for the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a June 21, 2026 interview on IRINN TV (Iran)….
Manouchehr Mottaki: “We need to illustrate to Trump so he does not think that it’s only about the 14 articles [of the MoU]. Other articles can be added.”
Interviewer: “Like what?”
Mottaki: “For 112 nights, people are in the streets. What do they chant: They have two slogans: Blood vengeance for their martyred Imam, and a pledge of allegiance to their living Imam. How come nobody is talking about blood vengeance? The people have a right to this. We have an eye-for-an-eye in Islam.
“Mr. Trump… Trump and damned Netanyahu should know that they are murderers. They committed murder and the Islamic Republic has the right to kill them. They killed our Imam. They killed thousands of our people, and turned our military commanders into martyrs. All of this was not included [in the MoU]. A month and a half ago, I said it here, in an interview, and now, I am making this operational.
[…]
“I have appointed a team to write an official complaint to the head of the judiciary. A complaint will be filed against [Trump and Netanyahu], and then, we will make it public. Perhaps thousands – or even tens of thousands – will sign up and demand to implement this complaint.
“Trump needs to know that he is a murderer in the eyes of the Iranian public. Iran has the right to kill him, in order to avenge the blood of its martyred Imam. Trump has not developed such fear yet.”…

There ain’t enough weapons like the old day. It’s a whole different America than it was during the Cold War. We have very little capability.
We have re built the military for precise strikes on important targets. Our industry is not there to even build naval vessels anymore. North Korea produced more artillery shells the USA….
We are all about profits here. The white collars in the defense industry want to get bonuses and get paid, not produce weapons. In fact, slowing down production and complicating weapons is a goal, it increases costs, passed on to us. They can make much less and still get paid more.
Trump as addressed these problems, but the time to take effect is going to be a while. Ukraine can easily out produce our tomahawk production, a much better missile at 1/10 the cost, double the range, higher payload.

It sounds like Iranian Regime bravado noise.
One would fully expect a nuclear strike on Iran should there be an attempt on Trump traceable to the Iranian Regime. Manouchehr Mottaki is still likely to “disappear” after posting himself squarely on the terrorist hit list.
A problem with proxy support of drone warfare is it makes an asymmetric war more symmetric leading to a restoration of that original asymmetry through higher level weapons. Both the US and Russia are capable of moving to higher levels of warfare.
I think it likely that Russia will eventually use tactical nukes in Ukraine and Europe will be unable to respond and directly participate in a hot war. Frankly with European socialism, feminization, and immigrant problems, could it actually raise a real army?
I wouldn’t assume that Israel will always hold back with Iran.

If most Iranians were like Iraqis or Afghans, I’d have agreed w/ you
Not only are they not, but even after 9/11, there wasn’t exactly a public appetite to retaliate against all mohammedans. It would be even less now!
Instead, support the majority of Iranians who, most importantly, have discarded islam, and are fighting not just for the overthrow of the regime, but also for a secular democratic future. Within that, there are a lot of them who want islam to be banned in a future democratic Iran. The slogan doing the rounds there are “No true Iranian is muslim, and no true muslim is Iranian”
Westman says
That’s a fascinating slogan illustrating the existence of the real powers inside the facade of Iran and the eventual failure of Islam as a political power. Like communism it will eventually run out of people willing to allow their own exploitation in a world of opportunity.

Yea true. Islam sucked the life out of Iranian civilization slowly slowly slowly. All the “Islamic science” is in actuality Iranian science, these men just converted to continue on their work. But Islam took its toll on Iran and it withered away.
Islamic countries are only 5 percent of global non oil gdp, but you are also counting mining, farming, and defense spending….. really , Muslims don’t make anything at all.
Dont let me catch anybody on here ever extolling Islamic science and Islamic this and that.
dont tell me, show me!

Something is brewing in Iran.
Mohammad Akbarzadeh, the IRGC’s navy’s political deputy was killed in a “car accident” when his car overturned in Iran’s southeastern Kerman province, He was the one who got on TV to say that Iran could restrict navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This comes on the heels of two other mysterious deaths of IRGC high ranking individuals.
Also, six Kurd factions of elite fighters have united. An increasing number of clashes have been taking place between a Kurdish opposition group and elements of the Iranian regime over the past few days in western Iran’s Kurdish region. Fissures are developing in the IRGC, and at some point soon, I believe that Iran will be taken over from within.
This whole operation has CIA/Mossad written all over it. The plan sees to be to use the covert, rather than the overt to topple t(ex regime.

Every Muslim-majority nation is a burden to mankind, no exceptions, but no Muslim-majority nation is as great a pain in the ass to mankind as is Persia.
Hell, life is tough enough without Islam being around, but Persia, Iran—call it whatever you want—is the worst of the worst in Islamworld. Certainly since 1979 but not all that worthy even before said date.
I’ll put it another way: minus Persia and Persians what would mankind be missing? Not much. Not much at all.

Sorry, completely disagree. A bunch of countries quickly spring to mind
⮞ Pakistan – successfully played both sides of the “war on terror”. Say what you will about the islamic republic, at least they are (stupidly) honest about their intentions. It’s on us for not taking their statements at face value
⮞ Bangladesh – successfully built an image of a poverty stricken country garnering all sympathy, while engaging in both jihad inside their country while exporting their loser population worldwide. Something the islamic republic hasn’t been doing
⮞ Afghanistan – had a chance to become a modern functioning democracy, complete w/ US aid. Something Iran never had. Note that I’m not advocating that we pour trillions into Iran: just that Iran didn’t get a chance to try out a secular democratic government the way Afghanistan did
⮞ Iraq – same comment as Afghanistan
⮞ Turkey – like Pakistan above, do a great job at pretending to be an ally of the West while encouraging jihad against Israel, Greece, Cyprus and Armenia. When in fact, they are a bigger enemy of the West than Russia, given their influence that spans from Malaysia to Algeria, something that Russia doesn’t come even close to having
⮞ Qatar – like Pakistan, experts in playing both sides of the war. While the islamic republic squanders its money on missiles, Qatar uses it to both lobby, and also bankroll dawa and jihad activity
⮞ Yemen – a failed state where Saudi Arabia, Emirates and the Houthis are all vying for power
⮞ Somalia – another failed state, whose population is exponentially stupider than your “Persians”
⮞ Balestine – the other failed state right next to Israel, that can’t think of anything outside killing the Jews
Even if you only take the ayatollahs and mullahs of the islamic republic while leaving out the average Iranian people, they are brighter than the Yemenis, Somalis and Balestinians. Granted, it’s not saying much, but they are far less a drag on humanity than these nationalities
Tim gallagher says
Usual Muslim bullshit. As written down in the Koran, Muslims think they have the right to kill anyone who is not a member of their stinking, evil cult. It is long since time we took a similar attitude to Muslims the way the crusaders did. What a poison Islam is. Muslims and their rights, who gives a fuck about them.

The West is truly hoping the people of Iran are being armed behind the scenes. Regime change is the only way for any significant peace in the region.
Tying Israel’s hands in degrading Hezbollah is playing right into the terror playbook.
Andrew Knight says
So, so very many good folk in Europe still do not get that Islam is our enemy, or that our amazing civilisation was built by Christian and Jewish belief, and requires that belief – perhaps matured but at its heart the same – to sustain it. The threat of Islam exists to sharpen us, to remind us of what our whole way of life is based on. We need to stand where God has placed us, and not compromise with evil.

The Iranian mulahs and the IRGC people are murderers in the eyes of I, so I have the right to kill them too if I use the same standard as that former Iranian FM.
Same standard, Muhammad attacked and killed people if they offended him. So, I can also attack and kill people who offend me, right?
But we know that muslims are always playing double standard, they can do everything they want with their justification, but the same justification is never accepted if applied to them.
Walter Sieruk says
That Donald Trump to have “peace negotiations” with that mullah regime of Iran that wants craves for his death is bizarre to say the least. There would-be no so called “peace negotiations”
Furthermore, the very idea is absurd of even attempting to have genuine reasoned based talks with those in power in that Islamic regime Iran is base is based on a false premise. .which is that those despots s of that hostile tyranny will respond to reason. Those tyrants only have a blind unquestioning faith in Islam along the coming of their future “hero “the Twelfth Imam.”
