Muslims in Europe keep pushing the limits of what they can get away with, as they try in ways little and big to defy the laws of the Infidels among whom they have come, by the millions, to live. One area where the rules are being constantly challenged is the clothing of women. In Burgos, Spain, three Muslim women tried to use the municipal pool wearing burkinis, a full-length garb covering their entire body; the no-nonsense officials at the pool forced them to leave. The Muslim push against obeying Infidel regulations was this time foiled, but 44 million Muslims now in Europe are constantly testing the limits. Three Muslim women were expelled from public pools in the Spanish town of Burgos in recent days for swimming while wearing a Burkini in violation of local regulations, local outlets reported on Thursday.
The Burkini is a sharia-compliant swimwear worn by Islamic women that covers their entire body, except for the face, hands, and feet. According to the local outlet El Diario de Burgos, the Spanish city’s regulations prohibit entering or remaining in public pool areas while wearing street clothes or footwear, citing hygiene reasons.
The prohibition also extends not only to Islam-compliant swimwear such as the Burkini, but it also prohibits swimming in any other kind of garment that is not a standard swimsuit for both men and women.
Although Burgos’ public pool clothing regulations have have existed for over a decade, the Spanish outlet El Confidential reports that three women were recently expelled from Burgos’ El Plantío y San Amaro public pools over their failure to adhere to the regulations. The outlet noted that while there is no nationwide, similar hygiene-related public pool clothing prohibitions exist across the majority of Spain’s municipalities while nearby France has made its stance clear in the past.
“Municipal regulations make no reference to the potential significance of a garment that can be interpreted as a legitimate expression of modesty, but also as a sign of oppression, given that it conceals a woman’s body,” El Confidential wrote.
“In any case, it is undeniable that the burkini is an exotic garment to the majority of Spanish sensibilities,” the outlet added.
According to several Spanish outlets, a controversy arose with regards to the third expelled woman after the pool’s personnel ordered the group to leave. While the first two women’s garments classified as streetwear according to the town’s pool regulations, the third women reportedly claimed that her outfit was instead a “rashguard,” an athletic outfit that protects its wearer from prolonged UV rays exposure and rashes.
The pool’s personnel did not accept her claim to need the burkini for health reasons. How much exposure to UV rays, after all, would she experience when in the water?
The town’s mayor, Cristina Ayala, addressed the situation speaking to reporters on Thursday. According to the newspaper El País, Ayala stressed that the regulations have long existed in Burgos and defended the actions of the public pools’ personnel against the three expelled women, noting that they were simply executing the municipal ordinance.
“[Swimming in a burkini] is not permitted at this time; regulations are being followed. Past practice is being respected; there is nothing different,” Ayala told local reporters.
Mayor Ayala made clear that Muslim claims of special regulations suddenly being enforced against them alone were wrong. The regulations had long been in force, and were applied to everyone, not just Muslims, who wore anything other than standard swimsuits.
The right-wing parties — Ayala’s People’s Party and Vox, the anti-immigrant party that Santiago Abascal heads — are sure to uphold the swimsuit rule, while the PSOE will vote to change it to accommodate Muslims, whose political support the PSOE has long been cultivating. Judging by Ayala’s popularity, and the vertiginous rise of Vox in the most recent polls, these three Muslim women’s Muslim challenge to the rule will be defeated.
This is a very small victory in the Europeans’ constant campaign to uphold the rules of all kinds against the constant challenge by Muslims. But as the Scottish proverb has it, “many a little makes a mickle.”

I can’t understand the need to go in the pool, ocean, river, lake wearing so many clothes they can’t really enjoy the cool water. It has to feel worse than being caught in the rain in a dress, hose, shoes and coat. I can imagine the weight.
They intend it to be a sign of ‘I’m better than you because you can’t see me.” But, to me, it just looks clumsy and stupid.

Took me 59 minutes.

James, I can only imagine. I have had the experience of being in a bundle of wet clothes. No fun, there.
when my brother joined the navy, he told us of his required swimming experience. He couldn’t swim, but had to. Some of the guys were unable to quickly learn as he did.
It’s like islime is the worst of all possibilities in life all jumbled together in order to make everyone miserable .except the males at the top of the heap.

These people treat the women worse than they do farm animals. I really dont walk around with ill will towards anyone, but i do honestly hate and am prejudiced toward peoplevwho openly proclaim it is their religoys duty to kill my jewish self and all of my jewish people. War may have had something to do with this. I am honest though. I do not care for any muslims. I wosh they would all leave our great nation and kill each other someplace else. As I’ve mentioned before, in Michigan a conservative activist complained about burquinis in a public pool but was ridiculed by the media for a “non issue “and several people commented in defense of the burquinis, saying that the women were being modest, the republican woman was a hypocrite,etc.
