How low can the world’s antisemites go? This low: they keep defacing posters, prints, paintings, memorials of all kinds, depicting Jewish victims of the Nazis.
Their latest achievement is the defacing, for the second time, of a mural in Milan that depicts the Holocaust victim and diarist Anne Frank and Italian Holocaust survivor and writer Primo Levi. Anne Frank was the 14-year-old Dutch girl who was hidden with her family behind a false wall in an Amsterdam garret until a Dutch informer gave them away; Frank was sent to Bergen-Belsen, where she died of typhus. Anne Frank’s diary, that she kept while in hiding, has become one of the most famous records that Jews have left of their travails — before torture and death in the camps — during the Holocaust. Tens of millions of copies have been sold.
Primo Levi was an Italian Jew, a chemist, who ended up at the extermination camp of Auschwitz, but survived. After the war, he managed to work again as a chemist, and also became a celebrated writer of fifteen books. The most famous are Se questo è un uomo (If This Is A Man, a memoir of Auschwitz) and Il Sistema Periodico (The Periodic Table). Memories of his time in Auschwitz haunted him, caused him to endure long bouts of severe depression. He died, a suicide, in 1984, in Turin, when he jumped to his death inside his apartment building. Elie Wiesel said of Levi’s death that “He died in Auschwitz, forty years later.”

The mural was created by Italian contemporary artist AleXsandro Palombo to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day and is displayed on the wall of the Montello Barracks in Milan. Frank and Levi are portrayed seated opposite one another as they both look up to a sky filled with yellow Stars of David. Across the sky is the message: “Memory Is No Longer Enough.” Vandals covered the phrase and painted the words “ZIONIST SETTLER NAZIS.” Levi’s face was also defaced….
Why was the mural destroyed? It is an attempt to crush any sympathy for the Jewish people, to make sure they are seen not as victims, but only as victimizers (a false and grotesque charge, but that hasn’t prevented the ignorant and the evil from embracing it). Forget about the Holocaust, or minimize it, or deny it altogether. Think of “the Jews” only as oppressors, as the new Nazis. And that is why the faces of Anne Frank and Primo Levi must be defaced. And if they are cleaned and restored, they will be defaced again. And again.
What else can we expect? Antisemites descending on the Memorial to the Martyred Jews of Europe in Berlin, splashing red paint all over the blocks and writing “this is the blood of the martyred Palestinians in Gaza”? An attack on the Memorial Holocaust Museum in Washington, with smashing of the vitrines everywhere and destruction of the exhibits that they protected? There is no end to this.

If one is a European Nazi, it should be easy to get away w/ antisemitic vandalism. Just embrace islam, adapt an Arab name (eg Mohammad, Ibrahim, Yusuf, Shoaib, Ali, Hussein,….), grow your beard, wear Arab garb and then go about what you’d normally have done in your Nazi garb. You’ll skate

We need to show the Europeans film from the death camps that Ike took. He took the film for this specific reason, so nobody in the future would say the holocaust didn’t happen. And, I might add, these punks wouldn’t be able to vandalize film.
