Amid the FIFA World Cup frenzy, a familiar sight has returned in Bangladesh – rooftops and flagpoles draped in Brazilian and Argentinian flags. Along with them, black and white flags bearing the Kalema (the Islamic declaration of faith) have mysteriously appeared along busy roads and residential neighbourhoods. It has raised an alarm in Bangladesh, as such flags have been associated with terror outfits such as al-Qaida and the Islamic State. It is also concerning for neighbouring India, with experts suggesting that it points to the rising footprints of foreign extremist groups in Bangladesh.
These flags, with Arabic inscriptions, were first spotted on a flyover in the capital Dhaka on June 17. Since then, these flags have sprung up across Mirpur, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Faridpur, according to a report in Dhaka Tribune. Visuals of motorcycle processions and rallies carrying similar flags have also been circulated widely on social media, putting the police and security agencies on tenterhooks.
Two distinct types of flags have been seen. Both carry the same Arabic text – ‘La ilaha illallah’, meaning there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. On one flag, the text is black against a white background. On the other, the text is white against a black background.
The first is the Taliban flag. The other has been used by terror outfits like al-Qaida, the Islamic State, and Hizb ut-Tahrir, a banned outfit that has swiftly expanded its operations following the 2024 unrest.
Last year, the Hizb ut-Tahrir held a ‘March for Khilafat’ in front of Dhaka’s main mosque, drawing over 2,000 people. The outfit, which was banned by the previous Sheikh Hasina regime in 2009, has long pushed for the establishment of a global caliphate.
It is, however, not known if the Hizb ut-Tahrir is behind the rallies, and the sudden mushrooming of Kalema flags. The development has sent Bangladeshi security circles into a tizzy….

Well they will eventually have to begin raiding India and retreating back into the jungles.
Islam doesn’t produce anything. They are really forced to steal wherever they go by necessity and by moral teachings, which say stealing is ok.
Similar to the Taliban, who is also broke and stupid, India has a vast border where they can go steal, set up camps inside India, quickly dismantle them and retreat back with their booty.
Unfortunately for Inda, an Islamist Bangladesh will be very costly to deal with, bands of jihadists looking for an easy meal.
Don’t forget, 300 million people are over there. If one percent are bad, that’s 3 million Muslims who will have drones. Today’s war vastly favors these hidden men, who can launch drones out the jungle and knock out multi million dollar vehicles.
This is the plan I truly believe. The India hate is out of control in Bangladesh, India has been a blessing to them, literally freeing them and handing them a nation, plus much more. But these Islamists will ride this anti-India wave into power.
It may even get them ugly for India, and India could be sanctioned for “human rights abuses” when they will be forced to wipe out towns.
Plus how may Bangladeshis are in India all along the border? How may inter married? How many squatter? Will they join their pillager brothers?

Goswami, a journalist from Indian TV said 20 million Bangladeshis are inside. There is no way even one million have been shipped. I don’t see all of them being shipped. Plus how many got citizenship already? Many. How may babies?
I see Bangladesh falling into radical islamism, if not radical Islam. Let’s say the government does not fall into their hands, but Islamic bands will form and go look for a free meal inside India. The government will be sort of as Lebanon is, unwilling to spill blood, and also have plausible deniability with India.
You have to factor in the China relationship between both nations. China will ship them drone parts by the ton, to destabilize India. Not directly to the bands, but to fourth fifth parties who will stock it and had them to the Islamic bandits.
I am not too far off, because not too long ago there were Islamic bandits, terrorists in Bangladesh but they were put down. Now they’re all freed. And these people are losers, they need to steal steal. Take women.
This thinking may be why India is trying to rapidly mend its relations with Bangladesh. You do not want to deal with this insurgency of such a high population.
Another factor may be the ethnic Myanmar
Muslims. Now I understand the citizenship law better, I have studied it. Before it, a Pandora’s box opened for India with these Myanmar Muslims, if you permit them to come, all the Muslims from anywhere could simply go to India, and enjoy the voting and handouts India practices.
I know you’re not happy with BJP, but from what I’ve seen, Hindus have woken up. The only thing holding back stronger action is Indias geopolitical situation.
I could even see India making contact with the Islamists, Islamic terrorists and others leadership to pay them off quietly. The reward of not having to fight them is much greater. This may be happening as we speak, but I don’t know.
