This agreement allows for hundreds of billions of dollars to flow to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and even more in sanctions relief, in exchange for two months of an open Strait of Hormuz and promises that are just as empty now as they were ten years ago, when Iran’s Islamic regime made them to Barack Obama. It is, therefore, a massive capitulation that leaves the Islamic Republic in place and gives it the money it needs to resume its jihad against America and Israel, which it most assuredly will do, and soon. In fact, it is already ignoring the “ceasefire” and firing off drones, knowing that Trump is weak and captured, and will do nothing.
Could the situation be worse if Kamala Harris had been elected president in 2024? It’s hard to imagine that it would be.
“Details of US-Iran deal revealed in 12-point plan — timeline for US withdrawal, $300B fund, Hormuz passage,” by Caitlin Doornbos, New York Post, June 16, 2026:
Newly revealed details of the secretive US-Iran MOU lay out that it would extend the cease-fire to Lebanon, allow Iran to manage the Strait of Hormuz, temporarily waive Iranian oil sanctions and establish a pathway toward a comprehensive peace agreement, Israel’s Channel 12 reported Tuesday….
- Iran, the US and their allies would stop fighting across the region — including in Lebanon.
- Tehran would reaffirm its pledge never to build a nuclear weapon.
- The US and Iran would work out what happens to Tehran’s enriched uranium stockpile….
- The US would lift its naval blockade, hold off on new sanctions and refrain from sending more troops to the region.
- Iran would guarantee safe, toll-free passage for commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days.
- Washington would release an unspecified amount of frozen Iranian assets once the MOU takes effect.
- A final deal reached after the 60 days would see the US withdraw its forces within 30 days and lift all sanctions on Iran.
- It would pave the way for a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran….

Obama’s” deal” with Iran was disaster . Now, Trump’s new “deal”with Iran is likewise a disaster,
It’s a another version of that Obama”deal” with that “mullah regime” of Iran.
Shame on Trump, he “caved in” he’s a sell out. For Trump is giving new lease on that demonic Islamic regime to continue with all Its many evil activities
Taffy says
Yes, but the present deal is likely to implode. Unfortunately, the way it will implode is not predictable. In the worst case, Israel will be left to finish the job alone. Israel has already retaliated on a Hizb’allah rocket launcher that lobbed missiles into Israel this morning. No more attacks on Lebanon were part of the deal.
Also, in actuality, the deal is not a deal at all. Rather, it is a memorandum of understanding. In other words, it is an agreement to agree. Unfortunately, the U.S. has taken major actions such as freeing up Iranian funds, removing naval power from blockading the Strait of Hormuz and lifting sanctions on Iranian exports, including petroleum. The Iranians have so far done nothing.
We will see how this plays out, but if I had to make odds, we just landed on the big chute in Chutes and Ladders,

Unlike many MAGA supporters who also support Israel, I am not aghast at these occurrences due to one thing that Trump is on record as saying: that he’s never going to telegraph his real plans to anybody, b’cos he wants to keep enemies guessing. To that end, since the war started, I’ve stopped taking anything he says at face value
⮞ I think Israel being left to finish this job alone is a best case, not worst. Once we are no longer a participant in this war, we won’t have any political leverage to limit Israeli attacks. Naftali Bennett has said that he’d work towards helping the Iranians overthrow the regime: I suspect that that will be Mossad’s policy as well
⮞ One possibility is all of this is a drama being staged for everyone, risking the administration losing half its support, but that they are counting on some IRGC faction or the other to do something to sabotage this agreement. At which point, they’ll call it “null & void”, and resume the war. Maybe in the interim, secret plans are being made to maybe arm Iranian resistance fighters. It could also be why Israel so far hasn’t been shown the contents of the MOU, even though it’s been shared w/ others?
⮞ One more reason it could be true is that one of the signatories is their president Pezeshkian, who is never discussed in the context of other decisions by the regime. Somehow the regime has hung these 3 – Pezeshkian, Ghalibaf & Araghchi – out to dry while their demonstrators freely rant against them on the streets?
⮞ If, otoh, all this is for real, then Trump will lose support of pro-Israel voters in the midterms, & give the Dems not just the House, but 2/3 of the Senate. Enough to impeach him – successfully this time, and there won’t be that fervent opposition to his removal from the part of MAGA w/ whom he’s parted ways
⮞ As I pointed out in previous posts in the last few days, if all this is a victory for the islamic republic, they should be celebrating! They’re not: instead, womenfolk of the IRGC are ranting & calling for the deaths of Ghalibaf & Araghchi. Not something one does for someone who’s brought their country to the brink of a victory
I have thereby decided to follow a “wait & see” attitude on this one. Once the islamic republicans do something to provoke at least Israel to attack, this thing will be over. B’cos that side was dragged kicking & screaming to the table, forced Hizbullah & Ansar allah to be a part of the coverage, but then Israel retaliates against one of them. Then the IRGC will throw a fit and try to lob missiles against Israel, or the Gulf states, or even the US, and then the war is back on, even from our side
So even in the worst case situation, I don’t expect this “truce” to hold!

A new and improved version of what was posted before is the following m below.
It’s very sad that President Trump seems to be beguiled, as in deceived, by those liars of the dangerous and hostile Islamic regime of Iran. It’s very strange that Trump doesn’t understand that any document for “peace” which those despots of that tyranny will sign isn’t worth the paper that It’s printed on.
A regime change in Iran is a vital necessity and likewise very important. For those so called “peace deal” with the disingenuous and lying representatives of that Islamic tyranny is a farce, a hoax and a smokescreen for further evil schemes in any peace agreement that the tyrants document that they might
This folly means that the brutal oppressive Islamic tyrannical regime will continue to exist. After Trump had had encouraged the Iranian people; to revolt against that horrendously oppressive regime , the by this so called “deal’” Trump has in ,essence , had betrayed them ” Thump is letting the Iranian people down, terribly down, after he engaged then to revolt against and other overthrow that vicious death inflecting tyranny. That would be treachery on the part of Trump.
It’s also very strange, in an inconsistent way that not that long ago President Trump had had declared the leadership of that Islamic tyranny to be lunatics . Now, Trump wants a “peace agreement deal “ those “lunatics.” Even the leaders who didn’t get killed in the war still have same dangerous disingenuous irrational menacing Islamic mindset as those former Muslim tyrant of that regime . Thump really did a flip -‘flop in that point.
Furthermore, just think about all the many cruel vicious horrendously malicious repercussions of extreme misery that those fiendish despots inflect through thugs in uniform, the IRGC on all the many brave courageous Iranians who fought so nobly risking their lives for a genuine government, which would respect basic natural rights for the people of Iran.
The Iranian people definitely do have every righteous and just right to rise up together to overthrow that brutal cruel oppressive horrendously evil tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran. Then after that horrific tyranny is destroyed, the people of Iran will be free to establish a legitimate, genuine, government that ensures and respects the natural basic human rights of its citizens.
Has President Trump failed to understand that it’s best to finish the job, as in “Get it over with” which by eliminating that horrific tyrannical regime, once and for all. ?
As it had been, rightly and wisely. “Half-measures in war is madness and folly.”
That oppressive regime of torture and death need to be eliminated and replaced by John Locke type of government. For Mr. Locke taught that any good government has the duty to ensure the security and safety of its citizens. Therefore, the people under the bondage and oppression of a tyrannical government do have every natural and ethical right to overthrow that terrible and oppressive tyrannical government.

There’s no weapons left to continue this war. It is just dropping bombs using up air defense with no goal in sight.
Half the air defense global stockpile is gone in just seven weeks war. Iran has too many missiles bottled up under the earth and a bunch of drones to drain air defense. The math doesn’t work. Pegasus Hegseth and Trump know this.

Still…. Pres Trump if he is as he has been, will not be reticent in using the military to take out the Iranian war machine if they do not come thru as per the agreement. What does disturb me, is his odd support for the Syrian President taking on Hezbollah. Here he insists on diminishing the unbelievably effective and reasonable military efforts that they’ve made with no outside help from anyone.
卐 Infidel 卍 says
Yeah, that one was an unbelievably inane statement coming from him. As Debbie Schlussel pointed out, it was he who kept interrupting the Israeli attacks on Hizbullah, forcing them into repeated ceasefires & endlessly prolonging the war. I do know that Tucker Carlson had on anti-Israeli Christians who used to praise Assad for protecting the Christians of Syria & Lebanon. I also knows that Tucker does not support this new regime in Damascus. Which then begs the question – whether he still supports Trump, his opposition to the Iran war aside, vis a vis their views on Christians of that region?

Tucker Qatarlson was just exposed in a FARA document. He was involved with some Qatari….. who would have thought.
I am somewhat surprised . Why would you criticize others for foreign lobbying when you were doing it yourself? What’s the old saying about the glass house.
This is not even in connection with the 15 million from the Pakistani. How low, how dirty can you be to do anything with a Pakistani? Do you guys even know what I’m saying? A Pakistani guys.
And has this shit paid off. Look how Tucker has been so efficient in not only eroding MAGA, but also spreading the anti Semitic virus we see, anti Israel as well. I’m not a huge fan of Israel, but this is treacherous because of the destabilization of our country and also our MAGA movement.
卐 Infidel 卍 says
What I am not getting, though, is that after Qatar is attacked by Iran & declares war on them, how do they not get their lobbyists to at least get Trump, Tucker & others in their pay to escalate the war and attack the islamic regime, rather than sign this sort of a treaty?
If this “MOU” is for real, then it completely splits MAGA to the point that the Dems could not only win back the House, but also get a 2/3 majority in the Senate. B’cos MAGA people who are pro-Israel will not turn up if the GOP candidate is an MTG type, while Tucker people who are anti-Israel won’t show up if the candidate is a Randy Fine type. Neither side can beat the Dems w/o the other even in Red states, let alone purple ones. Result will be a number in Congress that can impeach and remove Trump, and replace him w/ JD Vance, who’s already lost the support of the pro-Israel side
Oh, and you’re right about Fuckistan 🇵🇰 as well. The country that harbored every al Qaeda leader & 9/11 plotter being our “mediator” in these talks. Looks like someone in the current White House has stolen Hunter’s supply & is using it while making decisions

He would probably have tried to agree on “quotas” for slaveowners – that only x% of citizens can own y% of slaves, and so on. If this MOU is real, he’s tossed the Iranian people under the bus
In 1991, President George HW Bush did the same thing w/ the Iraqi shi’a & the Kurds, after comparing Saddam to Hitler & making them think that Operation Desert Storm will continue into Iraq. His son somewhat “corrected” that (although there are some today who legitimately observe that by doing it, he empowered the islamic republic by handing them a stooge state), although staying on and spending trillions to resurrect Iraq’s economy was mindblowingly stupid! In 2000, Israel withdrew from South Lebanon, and their vassals the South Lebanon Army got disbanded, and some fighters fled to Israel
It was not easy to repair the relationship once this betrayal happened. Again, if this MOU is for real, and not a decoy for something else, the Iranian people, who have been rooting for Trump, are not going to forget this. Good luck w/ us getting into their good graces

Infidel–with all respect–I certainly understand that the Swastika is *not* just, or even primarily, a Nazi symbol (that was the Hammer of Thor). That being said, many do *not* understand this, and solely associate the Swastika with Facism. They are less likely to read your excellent posts–and more likely to think that this reflects poorly on Jihad Watch.
I know this is unfair, but you might consider not using the Swastika here for those reasons.

That’s why I normally use the Swastika version ࿗࿘ rather than the one you see above – 卐卍. The latter can easily be interpreted as a Nazi symbol, which is why I try to use the former
It works well here. However, yesterday, I changed my computing platform, and logged into a Google account that uses the email I use here, and that account autofilled my name here, which is why you see that. Unfortunately, that Google account somehow allowed 卐卍 but not ࿗࿘, which is why I was stuck w/ it
I’ve fixed the Swastikas, so that it’s harder to mistake them for Nazi symbols, which did not have dots within them
P.S. I prefer using the term “Hakenkreuz”, or if that’s too Deutsche, then “Hooked-Cross” that the Canadians use, rather than a term that was never used by Hitler or the Blackshirts

I take it that you are unaware of the fact that Swastikas – as in these (both directions) – ࿗࿘ – are Hindu religious symbols? It’s been there on Hindu temples & other religious insignia since ancient times – not an invention of the 1930s. A simple googling would give you the results. Before you accuse Hindus of being Nazis
As it is, there aren’t too many populations that haven’t been brainwashed w/ antisemitism. Hindus are one of those, and the one of the most pro-Jewish/pro-Israel populations out there. Don’t toss that away just due to your knee-jerk reactions to something, even though they do have prominent differences w/ actual Nazi insignia

OK, Infidel.

Rarely, Infidel is Hindu–his use of the Swastika has *nothing* to do with Nazism at all. But that you reacted the way you did–despite my post, above–I think proves my point that for a lot of people seeing the Swastika (no matter which way it faces or its context) the first thought is Fascism.
In fact, the Swastika is found all over the world–as I mentioned it was the Hammer of Thor in pagan Teutonic religion, has been used in Hinduism for thousands of years, and was also used by Native Americans and can be found in Byzantine churches. But I have to admit that my first thought, too, tends to be Nazism–unless I know that the context is different.

Glenn OBanion says
Contrary to a total freeze, the deal allows immediate economic activity but ties future benefits to compliance:
Immediate Waivers: The U.S. Treasury is mandated to issue waivers for oil exports and banking services immediately. This provides revenue now, based on the calculation that a regime with something to lose (economic stability) is more likely to negotiate than a collapsing one.
The $300 Billion Fund: This reconstruction fund is not an immediate cash transfer. Its implementation mechanism is to be determined in the final deal, meaning access is contingent on Iran meeting nuclear benchmarks over the 60-day window.
Frozen Assets: The unfreezing of assets is tied to “progress of negotiations,” giving the U.S. discretion to halt releases if talks stall.
2. The “Bombing” Clause and 60-Day Window
The primary enforcement mechanism for the 60-day moratorium is not economic denial, but the explicit threat of renewed military action:
President Trump has stated publicly that if Iran does not “behave” or finalize the deal within 60 days, the U.S. will “bomb the hell out of them.” This serves as the “stick” to complement the economic “carrot.”
Status Quo Trap: The MOU locks both sides into a status quo for 60 days (no new sanctions, no nuclear expansion). If Iran violates this by accelerating enrichment, the U.S. reserves the right to terminate the MOU and resume maximum pressure campaigns and military strikes immediately.
Verification: The deal mandates IAEA supervision for the down-blending of uranium. Failure to allow this verification is a trigger for the collapse of the agreement and the return of hostilities.

No. Iran will get to keep its uranium under the deal. Go check. They just get everything else like sanctions lifted, keep their missiles and proxies.
Go check trump confirmation today, Iran keeps its uranium. So there is nothing left to violate. Also Iran is dictating to Israel right now, about Lebanon. Israel must follow Irans orders.
Right now, Israeli soldiers are being told on the ground not to even shoot back at Hezbollah. They are to stand down. Only some airstrike did happen. But on the ground, the Israeli army is being screwed by these Iranian orders. You heard me right. The mullah of Iran is the boss of the Israeli army.
