What has happened to John Bolton? As regrettable as it is, the answer is quite clear.
John Bolton’s long and distinguished career in public service began 45 years ago, when he served in 1981 and 1982 as a general counsel for USAID. After that, he was USAID’s assistant administrator for program and policy coordination; assistant attorney general for the office of legislative affairs; assistant attorney general for the civil division; assistant secretary of state for international organization affairs; a commissioner of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom; under secretary of state for arms control and international security; U.S. ambassador to the United Nations; and finally, national security advisor.
Bolton is now 77 years old; at this point, he should be enjoying a comfortable retirement and the appreciation of a grateful nation. Instead, as the Daily Mail reported, on Friday he “walked into federal court with a very stern expression before admitting to stealing national security secrets.”
What a comedown. Here is a man who spent practically his entire life in the service of the nation, and it all ends in a courtroom, as he confesses how he betrayed the public trust. What got into John Bolton? The diagnosis is all too easy: John Bolton sold his reputation under the influence of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
And so now Bolton, instead of spending his declining years attending rubber-chicken banquets in his honor and piling up awards for his living room wall, “pleaded guilty on Friday to a single charge of retaining classified information – a significant update in his criminal case, and one that may help him avoid a lengthy jail sentence.” It’s unclear whether he is receiving this leniency in view of his many years of government service or because the prosecutors hate Trump as much as he does.
Even with the leniency, however, Bolton could still spend some time in the prison cell that he so ardently hoped to see President Donald Trump occupying: “Under the terms of the deal, Bolton could serve up to 60 months, or 5 years, in prison in exchange for his guilty plea. He may also be required to pay a fine of up to $2.25 million and serve 100 hours of community service.”
It all came out of his hatred for the man he was serving as national security advisor: “Prosecutors said Friday that Bolton ‘abused his position of trust’ as former White House national security advisor by sharing roughly 1,000 pages of classified information in the form of ‘diaries’ with his wife and daughter.” After he left the Trump White House, Bolton “retained the documents related to national defense at his home in Montgomery County, Maryland.”

Will one of those be to take away his retirement monies?
Sell his home, what about the wife and daughter they are complaisant in the act of treason as well.
How many more elected officials have done or are doing the same thing with China/Iran and other nations?
We have people in Congress willing to destroy America, lets find them and remind them that their actions will follow them and be reckoned with.

Here’s the thing. Just because he plead guilty does not necessarily mean he is guilty. Michael Flynn was forced to plead guilty because legal fees bankrupted him and the government was going to pick a biased location for his trial. So who knows if similar factors weren’t at play here
Even if they weren’t however Bolton (given Trump’s recent surrender to Iran) seems to have properly identified Trumps tendencies and behaviors. Bolton said Trump seems to lack historical knowledge and seems to conduct policy based in large part on the news cycle. Well, with respect to Iran, Trump has shown little to no understanding of Islam or Jihad ideology and he certainly seems fixated on the news cycle. Trump according to Bolton also seemed to base foreign relations based on how well he got along with foreign leaders. Trump certainly seems mesmerized by the latest Iran team of negotiators as he calls them “very smart” and “rational”. Trump also seems obsessed with “making a deal”.

He knew what he was doing was against the law and he did it anyway. He needs serious jail time along with those who helped him.

TDS is a hell of a drug ,to throw away over 45 years of work and reputation because you hate your last boss? He was in a position of power and trust he has education in law he knowingly broke the law destroyed the trust he was given. He knew the consequence that could result of his actions ,no fool like an old fool applies here .It would have been better if he just resign (retired really with a nice fat pension and benefits)before taking these illegal action and rally publicly about how bad he believed his last boss was .There are many podcasts ,cable TV ,and other outlets with many TDS friends allies that would take his side .Make him into some kind of hero .Now he is an old man facing if he goes to jail for 5 years or more could be the rest of his life. He could be fined into bankruptcy ,he is rightful look on as a thief ,a turn coat ,and a coward .

For somebody who considers himself a foreign policy genius, he backs the Mojahideen Khalq in Iran – an islamo-marxist group that was originally allied to Khomenei before it split from him. They are hated by Iranians: in the 80s, they backed Saddam Hussein in his war against Iran, which unlike the Israeli or US operation some weeks ago, was actually against the Iranian people.

So many people have pointed fingers at Trump accusing him of wrongdoing in this or that. As time has gone on their own wrongdoing comes to light. You have to be dimwitted to loudly accuse anyone of wrongdoing when you yourself are guilty of doing the same things or worse. Well, that is our ruling class, our elite, pretty sad.

He should have tried the diminished capacity defense. Why not? It could have worked. Back in February of 2024 Robert Hur completed his report on whether President Joe Biden had mishandled classified documents. His conclusion was that he doubted a conviction if he was brought to trial and Hur this reasoning.
In February of 2024, Robert Hur reported that then President Biden was a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory”.
Bolton is an elderly man, sympathetic and well-meaning, no so much.

Biden is sympathetic and well-meaning but only when it comes to the interests of himself and his family. If Biden hadn’t made it in government he likely would have ended up a 1960s used car salesman. That tells you a lot, more than you may want to know, regarding the voters of Delaware.

Really, Bolton…of all the people that literally tried to burn, kill and bury Trump for the past 6 years and the only one that is still NOT going to jail, he s this f’ing stooge? That’s our doj, our fbi, the best of the best? That’s like convicting comet for drawing in the sand…where’s the f’ing teeth in our judicial system? Biden had 200+ innocent J6’ers locked up in 6 months and in two years we can’t convict one Barry, one Hillary, one Leticia…enough with the f’ing charades!
