An “immersive learning experience” is meant to persuade the Dutch of the sheer wonderfulness of Islam: “Can virtual reality change how people see Islam?,” by Mozhda Poyan, Hyphen, June 24, 2026:
Bram, 34, one of the non-Muslim visitors in the group, says he had expected something very different.
“I expected facts and history,” he says. “What surprised me was that there was also an experience of what discrimination feels like. I hadn’t expected that.”
I’m not surprised that Bram was disappointed. There’s a lot of “facts and history” that are left out, quite deliberately, in this immersive version of Islam. To wit: Muhammad’s “marriage” to Aisha and the consummation of that marriage when she was 9 and he 54, and his request that his followers murder three of those who mocked him — Asma bint Marwan, Ka’b bin al-Ashraf, and Abu ‘Afak. The Battle of the Trench, the slaughter of Jews at the Khaybar Oasis, why Jews and Christians were banned from Arabia, how Islam spread by the sword across vast areas of North Africa and the Middle East, all the way to India, the killing by Muslims of between 70 and 80 million Hindus, the demographic jihad now underway in Europe, Muhammad’s boast that “I have been made victorious through terror,” the 48,000 terror attacks by Muslims around the world since 9/11, and so much more. Why would this Islam Experience Centre want to make non-Muslim visitors aware of any of that?
Wouter Smets, an educational scientist at Erasmus University Rotterdam, who researches immersive learning experiences in museums, says the growing availability of VR [virtual reality] and other immersive technologies has made it easier for museums and educational institutions to experiment with new forms of visitor engagement.
“You can bring something like the Hajj, which takes place on another continent, much closer to people,” he says. “Through a virtual experience, you can bridge a distance that would otherwise be impossible to overcome physically.”
So you, the visitor, are through virtual reality made to feel as if you are really performing the hajj, along with hundreds of thousands of other pilgrims. First at the town of Mina, near Mecca, you feel yourself engaged in the ritual “Stoning of the Devil” by casting seven pebbles at the largest of three pillars (the jamarat). The ritual stoning of the jamarat is one of the central acts of the hajj pilgrimage, performed over several days. And “you are there,” practically feeling those pebbles in the palm of your hand. Then you are suddenly in Mecca, where with a vast crowd, everyone robed in white, you circumambulate the Kaaba seven times — that is, you make your way widdershins, seven times round the Magic Wonder Stone. And you are there, jostled by the crowd, feeling the heat, sensing your legs in movement. It’s almost as good as being there.
Evelyn Alsultany, a professor of American studies and ethnicity at the University of Southern California, says Muslims in western media have long appeared through frameworks of “terrorism, war, political conflict or national security”. Experiences that allow audiences to encounter Muslims outside those narratives, she argues, create opportunities to connect with them “as human beings rather than stereotypes”….
Even though Muslims are quite properly identified with terrorism and war — Muslims have committed close to 48,000 acts of terror since 9/11, and there is scarcely a country in Europe, North America, and the Middle East where Muslim terror attacks have not taken place — Muslims keep insisting on how unfair it is that they are identified with “terrorism, war, political conflict, and national security.” They think that if they keep complaining about “stereotypes,” the foolish kaffir will agree on how unfair we have all been to Muslims. That is the whole point of this clever, and insidious “virtual reality” presentation of Muslims and Islam, where Muslims are seen only as peaceful souls fulfilling the five pillars of Islam, that are so seemingly innocuous: shahada (the declaration of faith), zakat (charity, but only to fellow Muslims), salah (the five daily prayers, which contain 17 curses against the Infidels, though Islam’s defenders never state that), sawm (fasting during Ramadan), and hajj (the pilgrimage to Mecca, which all Muslims who are financially able should perform at least once in their lives). The visitors to the IXC are “immersed” as they perform, along with other Muslims whose virtual presence is made real through headphones and audio devices, all five of these pillars.

Yes, Islam is “wonderful.”. The wonder is how anyone can believe this bullshit.
OLD GUY says
Amen to that.

And they should feel discrimination because they should be discriminated against otherwise they’ll take over everywhere as they already have in some places
somehistory says
muzzlims are the first ones to “discriminate* against others….every other person, even some of their own.
muzzlims lie, but they don’t want infidels to lie.
muzzlims steal….and claim land has been stolen from them
muzzlims murder….but whine and scream when infidels fight back.
muzzlums hate….but whine and scream phobia when they detect that someone disapproves of their raping, murderous ways. and call it ‘hatred’ that we don’t wish to be raped and murdered
muzzlums discriminate against everyone else. They deserve to be discriminated against, for sure.
40 rounds says
Yep
OLD GUY says
I’ll second that.

I am feeling overwhelmed by the breadth of this jihad

I am so happy that the black stone of idolatry is so very far from me that I cannot feel the stinky body heat (nor smell the stinky sweat) of the millions of idolaters walking round and round in worship to a stone because some evil source one day decided it would be a good idea to demand others to show adoration to a stone, a book of demon filth, a fake prophet who committed mass murder, rape of children, sex slavery, lying and every other evil, along with a false and evil ‘god.’
The whole thing about islime…..evil, disgusting and incredibly stupid. like maggots on a pile of garbage; except that the maggots on garbage, destroy the garbage, while islime destroys people..

you mean they kiss this?

For a *real* Islam experience … all they have to do is visit the ‘Nova’ exhibition that the Israelis have put together. I read one visitor’s account of that.
The thing that ‘got’ to him was the *sound*; there is a portion of that exhibition that includes the sound of ‘allahu-akbar’.. shouted, over, and over, at the tops of their voices, by Muslims engaged in jihad. Recorded while they were hunting down defenceless young Jewish men and women, and while they were in the act of rape-torture-mutilate-murdering their victims.
I quote, from an account written by a member of Christians United For Israel/ UK: “The collection of items was interspersed with mobile phone handsets that could be picked up and scrolled through with the victim’s last video recordings of the attacks… The items were interspersed with screens showing footage recorded by Hamas terrorists – some from their own cameras, and some using their victims’ devices.
Now comes the kicker:
“I wasn’t quite prepared for the intensity of sounds in that room: the shouts of “Allahu Akbar” and other Islamic declarations being screamed by the terrorists on almost every audio clip are **something often omitted in news footage**” (my emphasis added: dda).
“The sounds underscore the evil and brought a chill of fear matched only by the footage itself.
“It reminded me that this was very much a Jihadist attack.
“Also striking was that this was very much an antisemitic attack … .their murderers were clear to identify their victims as “Jews” and not only ‘Israeli’…”.
I wonder whether the current Archbishop of Canterbury would dare to visit the Nova exhibition… that room, with the repeated ceaseless ecstatic orgiastic howls of ‘Allahu-akbar” accompanying… torture-rape-murder of the most horrendous kind.
THAT is Islam: the system that Winston Churchill defined, in the 19th century, in his book “The Story of the Malakand Field Force” as “the religion of blood and war”.
Islam as the Bulgarians, the Armenians, the Hindus experienced it. This is Islam, as the Christians of Nigeria are experiencing it.
King Charles – he who never tires of singing the praises of the wonderfulness of Islam, Islam, Islam – should be pointedly, publicly invited to attend the Nova Exhibition. If he refuses, then we know exactly what to think of him.
And Prince William and Princess Catherine should be invited to visit, too.
