What could possibly go wrong?
Every recent foreign policy disaster in the middle east seems to start with Qatar “helping us.”
There was Qatar “helping us” negotiate with the Taliban, helping us negotiate with Hamas and then helping us negotiate with Iran and find lots of cash for it.
Some cynical conspiracy types might say that Qatar, the state sponsor of the Muslim Brotherhood, which harbored Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11, isn’t really helping us, but using its useful idiots to destroy us… but that can’t be true.
After all look here, Qatar is helping Iran get hold of $100 billion which it will surely use to provide humanitarian aid. Especially the radioactive aid. And the aid that plant bombs. And the aid that can be fired at high speed.
The U.S. is working with Qatar on a plan to make billions of dollars in frozen funds available to Iran for humanitarian spending, another early financial incentive under the recently signed deal to end the war, people familiar with the matter said.
The plan, which isn’t yet completed, is aimed at giving Iran access to the spending power of some of its estimated $100 billion in cash frozen worldwide, beginning with $6 billion held in Qatar. Under the deal, Qatar would allow purchases of food, medicine and other humanitarian goods ordered by Iran’s central bank with money drawn from frozen Iranian assets, mainly cash from oil sales that has been locked up overseas by sanctions, the people said.
And I’m sure we can trust Qatar to make sure that only humanitarian aid is being purchased because after all…
… Qatar is an ally of Iran, a state sponsor of Islamic terrorism, and has a perfect track record of enabling Islamic terrorists to play us for fools in the ‘negotiations’ it oversees.
So really, what could go wrong?

Since iran is still bragging, getting help, etc, why can’t they use funds they have to buy food and medicine?
As written earlier….it’s possible that they can use those funds for buying weapons which allow them to continue murdering. Especially since their buddies in gutter are helping them do just that.

Why isn’t Trump and the Republicans warning Americans about the Jihadists being elected for Congress? A sole congressman, Republican Max Miller spoke about it to congress recently. He was censored by the leader. I guess they figure they will all be dead of natural causes by the time the Jihadists and their Democrat helpers take the majority so who cares. I care even though my grandchildren will be ensconced in Israel by then IYH. Israel had better start making their own fighter jets. This is not possible. The Air Force one in modern times is extremely looked at every little inch. It would be stripped down and used electronic devices to find possible bug.

Thank you Hugh for saying it, because people forget what a dangerous enemy Qatar is. Plus, they are buddies with Erdogan who keeps talking about “taking Jerusalem” and he intimates about killing all the Jews – very often. He also makes remarks about creating another Ottoman Empire.
After all, people have never learned about what the Ottoman Empire’s ‘Young Turks’ did at the end of their reign. They committed a simultaneous genocide of the Catholic Greeks, Christian, Catholic, and Jewish Assyrians ( who were close to 75% of the population), and the Christian Armenians.
In all three nations they stole all their possessions but took their land, too. Assyrian, now Syria, part of the land was taken and Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Azerbaijan now claim that land! The Turks stole big parts of Greece- which is why the EU will not let them into Europe, and still the Turks ignore it while they steal more of Greece even today.
Assyria is now Syria – and anIslamic country, and the world says nothing. Also, the Armenians went through another genocide by Azerbaijan and Turkey, from about 2021 thru 2024 (don’t know exact dates) and then, like what was done after WWI with their “peace agreement” after WWI, , there was that peace agreement that the Greek were basically forced to sign.

This is the same kind of peace and compliance we should expect from Iran.
We had them in a chokehold militarily and economically and have proven to be weak and easily manipulated.
I can’t believe Trump would let himself be seen as a loser. Hopefully, this is a temporary feint to loosen up oil supply and then reapply pressure.

There’s something I’m missing here. Qatar recently got bombed by ☫ drones to the point that they lost 30% of their LNG capacity. In response to that, they downgraded, if not severed, diplomatic relations w/ the islamic republic, and even “declared war” on them, although not actually doing anything. On the financial front, Qatar, which had been a conduit for islamic leaders to skirt the sanctions, suddenly started cooperating w/ the US Treasury in identifying IRGC accounts & freezing them: there’s clearly no love lost b/w them
Part of the claim about the $300 billion in investment given to the islamic republic is that it would be private, w/ some even suggesting bringing in the Arabs. Why would the Gulf states, which have sustained their own damages due to the ☫ drones, bother about investing there? Same thing: which investors in the world would want to put money in a country that’s war-torn, where the population is restive and ready to overthrow the regime, and which is an economic basketcase? I can see private investors get interested in a post regime Iran, once the Pahlavi team or anyone else puts together sensible development-centric plans for reconstruction
But if anyone thinks that that can happen under this regime, I’d like to know what they are smoking

And don’t forget the cash Qatar gave to Hamas in Gaza that helped fund the 2023 Simchat Torah Pogrom. And don’t forget how Qatar uses its massive Al Jazeera tv network to “frame the narrative” for everyone – especially English speakers. And don’t forget how many Hamas terrorists have been hired by Al Jazeera as so called “journalists” and “cameramen”. And don’t forget the huge donations made by Qatar to American universities to help the Muslim Brotherhood’s goal of “ruining the infidel’s countries from within…”
