The Islamic Republic of Iran is cleverly rebuilding ties with Islamic countries and using its bogus deal with the U.S. to present to the world a veneer of willingness to make peace. The Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) agenda includes “dialogue among civilizations and religions,” “human rights and women,” extending the Islamic Republic’s deceptions even further than they have been extended already.
As Iran puts its best foot forward in Baku, Azerbaijan, it remains a deadly regime due to its view of Israel (the Little Satan) and the U.S. (the Great Satan) as its primary enemies. Its slippery politicians have already managed to fool President Trump. He called the regime’s murderous liars “strong,” “smart,” “rational,” and “nice to deal with.” Imagine the encouragement and emboldenment that regime thugs now carry into the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. An “opportunity” indeed.
“Iran Sees PUIC Summit as Opportunity to Strengthen Muslim Unity,” Tasmin News Agency, June 24, 2026:
Upon arriving in Baku on Wednesday, Qalibaf met with Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Musa Jafar oglu Gasimli and expressed satisfaction with visiting the neighboring and friendly country.
Referring to ongoing developments in the region, the Iranian parliament speaker expressed hope that the 20th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States would contribute to strengthening unity and closer coordination among Muslim nations.
Qalibaf wished success for the people and parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan and said that despite a demanding schedule, he considered participation in the summit a valuable opportunity to consolidate relations with member states, particularly the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He also extended condolences to the Azerbaijani nation on the mourning days of the month of Muharram.
For his part, Musa Gasimli said Baku does not support war in neighboring countries under any circumstances.
“If something happens in a neighbor’s house, neighboring countries will not enjoy peace either,” he said, adding that prosperity and development are rooted in good neighborly relations.
Gasimli highlighted the positive state of economic cooperation and expanding parliamentary ties between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic and stressed that Azerbaijan would not allow its territory to be used to harm neighboring countries.
He also said that Islam emphasizes unity, cooperation, and brotherhood and described the month of Muharram as a symbol of solidarity among Muslims.
Welcoming the end of the recent war of aggression against Iran and emphasizing the importance of peace…,

Azerbaijan is a friendly country for Iran? They have an alliance w/ Israel (which is why the latter somewhat reluctantly supplied them w/ weapons that were used against Armenia), as well as territorial claims on Iran’s 3 Azeri provinces – West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan and Ardabil. Is Qalibaf willing to cede them to Baku if they switch?

Glad to hear that the Israelis were not enthused about helping Azerbaijan against Armenia – it had always puzzled me why nations whose collective memory included the Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide respectively, would not support each other against Islam.
