Iran only has one card to play and that’s shutting down the Strait of Hormuz. So it’ll never stop doing it.
Iran’s leaders, unsatisfied with billions in oil sales, access to cash, and promises of sanctions relief and $300 billion in the deal, are trying to charge for access to the strait, meanwhile despite the waivers of oil sales, they’re attacking ships passing through the strait to show they’re in charge.
So now the Trump administration authorized strikes on Iran’s drones and missiles again.
This comes after J.D. Vance had proposed a ‘deconfliction’ program between the United States military and Iran’s IRGC terrorists.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t work.
The only thing that you get when you negotiate with terrorists is more terrorism. That’s because negotiating with them shows that the terrorism worked and because it’s all the leverage that they’ve got.
We’re negotiating with them because they shut down the Strait of Hormuz. And some politicians still think they can work out a deal that will stop Iran from pushing the same button that gave them a win.
How is that supposed to work exactly?
Kipling summed that up nicely.

Probably US should hit the IRGC headquarters, government buildings etc, maximizing the casualties so that the Iranian people can win the fight against the dictatorship. Also, hit the mosques especially in the holy city of Qom, showing that allah is very much impotent, making more people leaving Islam quicker.
It sounds barbaric, but remember the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ended the war quicker, and prevented more death and suffering of people.

I believe that their headquarters was hit – either by US or by Israel. Regardless, their people would have found places & ways to hide, and still somehow control the country
Although the latest reports from there seem to suggest fighting b/w the Artesh and the IRGC. It’ll be fascinating to see how it plays out

It’s amazing that what is intuitively obvious to those of us on this site, is ignored by the administration. Marco Rubio is the only one who seems to realize that we should be letting loose a continuous grand finale of bombs aimed at the IRGC, the mosques and mullahs and the infrastructure that feeds and waters them. But, if he tells Trump something that Trump doesn’t want to hear, he will be replaced, to the detriment of all.

It’s a fool’s quest and an action pf complete folly to try to have worthwhile negotiations with those pathological liars who are the despots of that Islamic regime pf Iran , Be those “talks” be about the Straits of Hormuz , or or about anything else.
For it’s really foolishness of President Trump to even attempt to have a genuine talks with such evil men.
To Illustrate ,,according to the Bible in Genesis chapter 3 Eve talked with Satan through the serpent . The result of that was terrible disaster for her and her husband Adam and for all future humankind. Likewise, President being willing to negotiate with the sons of Satan, meaning those villains in power in that Islamic tyranny , will only result in awful terrible disaster for America, for Israel ,for the Iranian people and for the world.

Probably b’cos they know that the $300 billion, the way it is written, simply ain’t gonna happen. It won’t be a mere transfer from US taxpayers to the ☫ regime the way it was w/ Obama. First, the bulk of it is private investment, and the US is anxious that it be seen as coming out of not American, but rather Arab money. Contrary to myth, the Gulf Arabs have started experiencing financial pain. Saudi Arabia has had to cut down on Neom and other pet projects of MbS, so investing in Iran would be the last thing on their mind. Qatar is still miffed at the IRGC striking at it. In fact, both Qatar & Emirates have started cooperating w/ the US in impounding the bank accounts of regime personnel, so the question of them giving money to the same people doesn’t arise
I do wonder one or both of two things:
⮞ What, if anything, is happening behind the scenes on the ground in Iran, to topple what’s left of the regime?
⮞ What is Trump’s pain point, when he can no longer tolerate the public humiliation by the islamic regime and finally decides to make good on his dozens of empty threats he issued over the last 6 months?
If things continue this way, he won’t have a Congress on his side
