According to the Canadian government website, which recognizes a state of “Palestine”:
This funding brings Canada’s total contributions to international assistance efforts in Palestine to more than $500 million and will help provide emergency medical assistance, food and nutrition, water, sanitation, shelter and protection services while also supporting peace and stabilization initiatives.
The money is described as being donated due to “rising violence in the West Bank by extremist Israeli settlers.”
The “West Bank” is Judea and Samaria. Last year, Brigadier General Amir Avivi, founder and chairman of the Israel Defense And Security Forum, warned that released “murderous terrorists” from prison would make their way to Judea and Samaria, establish militias, and wage jihad there. He added that significant military pressure would be required to be put “on the terror infrastructure in both Judea and Samaria, as well as Gaza,” and said that he trusted “our soldiers to do whatever is needed to secure a decisive win.” Palestinian Islamic Jihad has now also flocked to Judea and Samaria to carry out its death missions against Jews.
The Liberal government couldn’t be clearer about where it has stood from the days of Trudeau to today:

This is the current declaration on the Canadian government website:
Canada enjoys positive relations with the Palestinian Authority (PA), the governmental entity in Palestine. Canada recognizes the Palestinian right to self-determination and supports the creation of a sovereign, independent, viable, democratic and territorially contiguous Palestinian state. Canada recognized the State of Palestine on September 21, 2025, as part of a coordinated international effort to preserve the possibility of a two-state solution. This decision was predicated on the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) commitment to much-needed reforms, including the commitment by PA President Abbas to fundamentally reform the PA’s governance, to hold general elections in 2026 in which Hamas can play no part and to demilitarize the Palestinian state.
Note that the CBC report states:
Anand met her British and Australian counterparts on Thursday and all three pledged roughly $1.8 million over three years for a peace fund to empower Palestinians and Israelis who don’t hold hardline views.
Is it really “hardline” to have serious concerns as a Jew or supporter of Israel about Canadian funds going to “Palestine,” when a full-blown Palestinian jihadist surge is trying to wipe out Israel’s existence, using “resistance” as a sanitized word for jihad in order to gain support from Western leftists (and, increasingly, from those on the right)? Proponents of the “resistance” have also openly called for “globalizing the intifada.” The Palestinian goal is specified in its Charter HERE.
No one who opposes Israel’s war and defense against jihadist attacks has stated any viable alternative regarding what Israel could be doing differently, since Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hizballah (all proxies of Iran), the Houthis and Iran will not lay down their weapons. These jihadists also continue to use their own people as human shields. Where is the Canadian government condemning these jihadists and demanding that they lay down their weapons?
Now that Canada has pledged an additional $100, 000,000 to the Palestinians, bringing Canadian taxpayer donations to “Palestine” up to $500,000,000, who is monitoring where the hard-earned dollars of Canadians are really going? It’s no secret where monies flowing to these areas end up.
The Canadian economy is already on life support.
“Canada pledges $100M for Palestinians facing settler violence, humanitarian crisis,” by Dylan Robertson, CBC, June 13, 2026:
Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand announced on Friday $100 million in federal funding to support Palestinians living in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
She unveiled the funding in Paris, where Western leaders are meeting to discuss mounting challenges preventing a future two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Anand’s office says the funding will go to United Nations agencies, the Red Cross and others to address what it calls a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and rising violence in the West Bank by extremist Israeli settlers.
The new funding, which brings Canada’s support for Palestinians to $500 million since late 2023, will go to addressing basic needs such as medical assistance, food and water, and to peace and stabilization initiatives.

Giving money to jihad-oriented leadership for the “citizens” is a parallel to corrupt elections where those who count the votes determine the outcome – those who spend the money benefit themselves and their cause.
The money will be siphoned off on the way to “Palestinians”. The projects will need administration, the help of a myriad of NGOs, some booty to Abbas relatives and Fatah. Islamic Jihad will steal some stuff intended as free to Palestinians and sell it back to them. Hamas will grab some for operations and nepotism.
It will be a feeding frenzy and the Canadian Lefty leadership will believe they did something for “Palestinians” with the struggling taxpayer’s money. Considering the intentional destruction of Canadian farming and the support of immigrants, more Canadians will join the struggle.
Might as well have given the money to the UN for, “World Peace”. But then, likely, the UNRWA would have hired more Hamas Palestinians.

Oh Canada! How embarrassing! Lies will only get you so far …. unless you are the PA or Hamas and are speaking to some ultra-liberal without specific knowledge of what is happening on the ground. Trudeau’s Canada will live with his legacy for generations.

Just why are governments in the charity business for foreign countries? And why is our governments giving money to non-profit organizations? It appears that many of our political leaders are profiting from our tax dollars given to these non-profits.

The article’s headline is almost correct. It is the Palestinian leadership receiving Canada’s largess, not the Palestinian people.
