The Italian journalist Giulio Meotti argues that instead of halting the Gaza flotilla on the high seas, taking its members into custody and bringing them back to Israel before sending them by plane back to their countries of origin, the Israelis might have allowed some of them to land in Gaza where, he suggests, they might soon be clamoring to leave out of fear of their “Muslim welcome.” More on his suggestion can be found here: “Israel should have let the Flotilla enter Gaza,” by Giulio Meotti, Israel National News, May 24, 2026:
Israel should have let the Flotilla enter Gaza. It should do it for Vittorio Arrigoni, who was 36 years old and Italian.
His body was found in a house near Gaza. It would not dishonor his memory to describe him as a passionate anti-Zionist. That is precisely why he collaborated with the Islamists of Hamas. An Islamist group calling itself “Monotheism and Holy War” kidnapped “Vik,” publishing a video on YouTube showing him tied up, blindfolded, and bloodied. “Monotheism and Holy War” demanded the release of its imprisoned members in Gaza in exchange for the Italian. He was murdered several hours before the ultimatum expired.
I do not remember the same outrage for Arrigoni being blindfolded and killed as there was for the images of the flotilla activists humiliated by the Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is somewhat like Israel’s yellow wire – the one who cuts off electricity on the ground – the dream of all antisemites who want to hate without remorse.
If he were still alive, Arrigoni would be aboard the Flotilla. But Arrigoni is dead. He was killed in Gaza not by Israelis, but by those Islamic fanatics whom these useful idiots defend so passionately.
Arrigoni, who collaborated with Hamas, discovered firsthand that “passionate anti-Zionism” is not a passport to eternal brotherhood. He was there to defend Palestinian Arabs and was killed by Palestinian Arabs.
He even got tattoos in Arabic. He literally carried the cause on his arm.
He believed he was one of the “good guys.” The ones who say “let’s remain human.”
A jihadist faction in Gaza kidnapped him, tortured him, called him a “kafir,” and executed him anyway. They did not care about his solidarity, his activism, or his tattoos….
“Palestine” is not an ideal stage for moral redemption. It is an all too real, brutal place where Western dreams die strangled.
Israel missed its chance to follow Meotti’s suggestion with this most recent propaganda flotilla. But another should be forming soon, and as an experiment, why not let some of that flotilla’s boats land in Gaza, where their passengers and crews can disembark to enjoy, as kaffirs, the hospitality of the Gazan Muslims. How long will it be before there is some muttering among the Gazans about the foreigners who turned out not to be bringing any aid — none of the flotillas have brought such aid, for these so-called aid missions are merely performative — but instead are themselves needing to be fed out of Gaza’s own stores. And what young Arab male, seeing the Infidel girls and women who have suddenly appeared in Gaza, would not want to take full advantage of these girls by having them express their sympathies for the Palestinians in a particularly intimate way? Meotti thinks that letting them land in Gaza will in the end lead to nothing good for these flotilla naifs. I think he may be right.

I recall the two unhijabed western women who were Hamas supporters residing illegality in Bethlehem. In spite of their outspoken dupport of Hamas the local Hamasniks, noting their unveiled and infidel status, decided to gang rape them. No good deed goes unpunished.
If the flotilla were to reach Gaza it would immediately be flooded with Hamasniks asking “Where is all the loot?” But maybe they seize the flotilla members and demand ransoms for their release.

If there wasn’t the obvious problem of suicide bombers, explosives and weapons smuggling etc. I might think it not a bad idea for “cultural exchange and enrichment” for the flotilla crews. The flotilla crews could star in the locally produced videos where they cry and beg to be exchanged for “Palestinian prisoners”.
Alas, I think the suicide bombers etc threats are too big a risk ,and therefore, the flotilla crews will not be able to be given the starring role they so stupidly deserve.

The Israelis could stop them out on the water, search the boats and the people onboard for any contraband, and then allow them on into gaza.
Allow them the full experience of meeting up with those they defend and praise and work so hard to convince the gullible that muzzies just want to be ‘free’ of the “occupation” which doesn’t exist.
While onboard, the Israelis could place a few hidden mics to record the conversations taking place.

Much as I would like the flotilla crew to enjoy Gaza hospitality ,I’m also surprised Israel has been as laxed, as they have been, about approaching the flotillas. These “useful idiots” may yet prove to be deadly as their propaganda use fades.

Winston, I’m not recommending anything. the government of Israel has to make its own decisions as to what to do and how to stop terrorists from murdering their people.
I just was proposing a possible way of doing it. …if they decided to. Of course, the military and Mossad have more, way more, experience in thinking up ways of dealing with muzzies and their terrorism than I could ever dream up.

Relaxing on letting flotillas into Gaza is the same a negotiating with terrorists.once you cross the line, often it gets out of hand. I would though after captured by Israel have let Greta cross into Gaza .

Like Hugh, I third Giulio Meotti’s idea: let those flotillas enter Gaza. Let the Gazans, or Hamas, do to them whatever they feel like. Only one thing: don’t allow that flotilla to leave Gaza. Let those geniuses discover nirvana in a true sharia state like Gaza (granted, it’s currently occupied by the Israelis, but these clowns can embed themselves w/ Gazans and find out)
Oh, and other memo to the Israelis: don’t bother salvaging them when they start getting roughed up by the jihadists

This could be part of a greater strategy, the floatillaniks go to gaza and allow themselves to be taken hostage bargained against the return of gaza prisoners. No doubt the naifs believe that Israel would return the prisoners. In reality of course Israel would do no such thing and the hostages would be executed. There would be massive global publicity and of course Israel would be blamed.
