An outrageous case of the left’s shameless subservience toward the Muslim Association of Canada: “MAC And The CRA: Report Cites Discrimination In Probe Of Canadian Muslim Charity,” by Ibrahim Moiz, Muslim Matters, April 29, 2026:
The Muslim Association of Canada has welcomed an expert’s review into the government revenue agency’s auditing practices, which found serious deficiencies that carried risks of “capturing innocent activity through associational connections.” The review comes after the Canadian Revenue Agency itself admitted a “lack of rigour” in its selection of charities to audit for terrorist links.
The independent study, carried out by the University of Manitoba’s law professor Michelle Gallant and published in spring 2026, criticized the Canadian Revenue Agency for having adopted discriminatory practices and a dragnet approach of “over-inclusion” in its selection of Muslim charities such as the Muslim Association. “Any anointing of the notion that associations — connections — indicates terrorist abuse risks overidentification and the attraction of ‘guilt’ by association,” she found.
The Muslim Association had taken the revenue agency to the Ontario Superior Court to stop the revenue agency’s audit, claiming that it violated the principles of freedom of religion and equality. Professor Gallant’s report indicated that biases had led to the revenue agency’s targeting the Muslim Association on dubious grounds of terrorist links. This process first became mainstreamed twenty years ago during the peak of the “War on Terror”, particularly under the rightwing regime of Stephen Harper (2006-15). In this context, the revenue agency’s Review and Analysis division linked the charity to nebulous insinuations of foreign political links and terrorism finance.
Among other things, Gallant recommended that the agency familiarize itself with religions and cultures such as Islam and provide periodic recommendations of which associations to avoid. ““I think,” she said in an interview, “that if the charities directorate was a little more forthcoming in educating, specifically — don’t interact, don’t be doing things here, we’re suspicious about these things — then charities can make a choice, right?”
The Muslim Association, whose network of schools, charities, and social services service over 150 thousand people, welcomed the findings. Its president for strategy, Sharaf Sharafeldin, said, “This independent academic review, which confirms there were no links to terrorism financing or extremism, is significant because it reinforces the Ontario Superior Court’s concerns regarding the CRA’s findings and brings meaningful closure to Canadians, particularly the Canadian Muslim community.”…
Useful idiot Michelle Gallant completely ignores the MAC’s self-described link to the Muslim Brotherhood. See the screenshot below. She blames “the rightwing regime of Stephen Harper” for perpetuating discrimination and a witch-hunt against Muslim charities. Despite the fact that the largest terrorism funding trial in American history, the Holy Land Foundation trial, established links between virtually every mainstream Muslim organization and Hamas, the clueless Gallant pretends that resistance to jihad has been a charade. Yet Canada is saturated with offshoots of those same “unindicted co-conspirators” who were identified at the Holy Land Foundation trial.
Where has Gallant been all these years? She needs to be investigated to discover what may be her reasons for sticking her neck out in support of the MAC, despite all of the available evidence regarding what the group is all about.
The National Post highlighted some speakers at the 2022 MAC summer conference, where the Liberals were accused of funding hate. It’s a conference that should have been of concern to all Canadians. See more HERE. One of those speakers who went unmentioned, however, was the infamous Hatem Bazian. This virulent anti-Semite and hater of America called for an intifada in America, and stated that the “sacred texts of Islam require its adherents to ‘fight the Jews.’” He urges the Muslim world “to militarily support Palestine.”
In 2015, United Press International reported some disturbing findings about the MAC and its connection to IRFAN-Canada:
The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), one of the largest Muslim organizations in the country, is being accused of funneling money to designated terrorist organization IRFAN-Canada. A Canadian police raid found that MAC gave $296,514 to IRFAN-Canada between 2001 and 2010, according to The Toronto Sun.

The Mounties, citing Canada Revenue Agency disclosure, say: “The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) provided $296,514 between 2001 and 2010” to IRFAN-Canada.

A year earlier, Revenue Canada concluded this about IRFAN:
IRFAN-Canada is a not for profit organization operating in Canada. Between 2005 and 2009, IRFAN-Canada transferred approximately $14.6 million worth of resources to various organizations associated with HAMAS, a listed terrorist entity under the Criminal Code.

How could Gallant have possibly missed this? She accuses the Harper government of discrimination and witch-hunting against a group that has been proven to have been involved in the funneling of funds to a jihad terror group. And how could the University of Manitoba tolerate the likes of Gallant?
Meanwhile, as support grows for the Palestinian cause of “resistance” (from the River to the Sea), a group of pro-Palestinian organizations has filed a complaint with the Canada Revenue Agency, “accusing 11 Jewish schools of promoting the Israeli military and potentially aiding and abetting illegal military recruiting.” Also in the news recently: Canada: Senate report on Jew-hatred makes zero mention of Islam.
The writing is on the wall. Just as the jihad is aggressive in its violence as well as in its stealth activity, so is the “globalize the intifada” movement. Without leftist useful idiots, Sharia-adherent Muslims, with their full range of deceptions and encroachments, could not have expanded their operations so comprehensively in the West, as they continue to do.
