UK: Labour Party Releases a Video of Green Party Candidates’ Antisemitic Statements

In the antisemites’ race to the bottom in the U.K., the Green Party is the clear winner. No other party has harbored so many of them, or chosen so many to run for office at every level. The Labour Party, which had its own antisemitism problem when Jeremy Corbyn was its leader, is under new management, and while there are many appalling things about its current leader, Keir Starmer, antisemitism is not one of them. And the Labourites have just released a video which contains a series of Green Party candidates making antisemitic remarks. Naturally, the Greens are furious that their statements should be disseminated to the wider public in this manner. They were meant to be heard only by fellow antisemites.

The UK Labour Party has released a video containing antisemitic quotes from Green Party candidates ahead of the local elections on May 7.

The video, released on Monday night, features a woman anonymously sharing antisemitic statements later revealed to have been said, written, or shared by people who are standing for election for the Green Party local elections.

The statements read out in the video contain incitement and outright antisemitism, such as: “Ramming a synagogue isn’t antisemitism; it’s revenge,” “It takes a serious effort not to be a tiny bit antisemitic,” “the money-grabbing thieves have built mountains of money over centuries,” and “Jewish cockroaches.”

Other statements feature conspiracy theories, such as “England has a government overrepresented with Zionist jews and it appears they care more for Israel than England,” “the leaders of Israel and Gaza conspired to carry out what happened on October 7 for financial gain,” and “The London ambulance attack? Of course, it was a false flag.”

The woman in the video then says she has “lived in the UK for almost 60 years in a wonderfully diverse community as a Jewish person.”

“None of these statements are criticisms of Israel. They are all stereotypes, demonizations, or conspiracy theories of Jews at large. They are antisemitic. They are racism towards Jews,” she said, before warning viewers that the candidates who said them may be standing for their locality.

Following the release of the short video, the Labour Party entered into a social media spat with the Green Party.

Leader of the Greens, Zack Polanski, said the video is one of several “relentless attacks on the Greens across the media.”

“They’re trying everything in their power to stop us,” he said.

Yes, the Labour Party dares to make public, without any change, the antisemitic remarks of Green Party candidates. Nothing was made up. Zack Polanski doesn’t dare to denounce those remarks, and declare those who made up unfit to be running on the Green Party ticket. Too many Green Party members agree with those sentiments. All Polanski can do is lament that the Labour Party is trying hard to “stop” the Greens. Of course they are. That’s what politics is all about: defeating your rivals and winning power for your own party. Polanski makes Labour’s release of those quotes, without changing a jot or tittle, sound like an underhanded maneuver.

Green’s deputy, Mothin Ali, then said, “Labour have invested significant resources trying to bring us down. It’s not working. The public sees through these shameful tactics!”…

According to Mothin Ali, quoting verbatim Green Party candidates constitutes “shameful tactics.” What is “shameful” are the quotes themselves, and not their being made public by others.

Labour’s video comes in the wake of multiple reports of antisemitic statements made by Green Party candidates. Most recently, two candidates, Saiqa Ali and Sabine Mairey, were arrested by the Metropolitan Police last Thursday on suspicion of inciting racial hatred online….

Having two of your candidates arrested for “inciting racial hatred” should be worrying, even for the Green Party that is full of people who need no incitement to express their “racial hatred” of Jews.

Aside from these two, candidate Joe Belcher claimed Israel may have paid Hamas to carry out the October 7 attacks….

Having been kicked out of the Labour Party for antisemitism, Joe Belcher has been happily welcomed into the Green Party and is now running as a Green candidate with the party’s full backing.

In Joe Belcher’s cracked brain, it’s Israel itself that paid Hamas to gang-rape, torture, mutilate, and murder 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023. Israel wanted to gain sympathy, and also wanted an excuse to attack Gaza. And Hamas wanted that money Israel offered. Otherwise, Joe Belcher wants us to believe, why would they have agreed to such a deal, knowing that an Israeli response that would devastate Gaza’s infrastructure would promptly follow the attacks they carried out? If there is a more absurd “explanation” of the October 7 attack, I have yet to see it.

Then there is Tina Ion, who posted from a Threads account using the handle “thereal.anne.frank” that “every single Zionist” should be killed. Ion used the account to describe Zionists as “vermin” and “rats.” She also posted an image of an industrial shredding machine labeled a “Zionist juicer” and made the following comment: “The money-grabbing thieves have built mountains of money over centuries.”

The account she used featured a profile image depicting Anne Frank wearing a keffiyeh, which Ion said she chose “because Ann Frank wearing a keffiyeh pisses Zionists off.”

What do you think? Was it unfair of the Labour Party to make Tina Ion’s remarks widely known? Was it unfair to reveal that she posted under an alias —thereal.anne.frank—when calling for “every single Zionist” to be killed? And what do you think about Tina Ion’s use of an image of Anne Frank wearing a keffiyeh? All in good fun, this likening Gazans to Anne Frank, and the IDF to the Nazis who murdered her, just as, we are being encouraged to believe, the IDF murders Gazans? You know the answer to that.

The Green Party is a clear and present danger to the security of Jews in the U.K. Whether their candidates win or lose on May 7, everyone who finds the numerous vocal antisemites in its ranks repellent needs to oppose the party, so that it will be dismantled the way Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists was dismantled when World War II began.
