On the same day, May 16, and at the same time, two rallies were held in London. One was Unite the Kingdom, a patriotic gathering of 60,000 marchers, who are alarmed at Muslim immigration transforming their country, worried about a decline in social cohesion, and furious that the government is making major decisions without consulting them. The other, and far smaller march of 20,000 people, was not about Britain at all, but about a faraway event that occurred more than 76 years ago: what the Arabs call the “Nakba” or catastrophe, which is how they describe the flight of Arabs from Mandatory Palestine, and then Israel, between the fall of 1947 and 1949.
More on those two differing protests, one about the transformation of Britain through large-scale Muslim immigration, and the other having nothing to do with Britain but, instead, was one more anti-Israel rally disguised as sympathy for the “Palestinians” for a nonexistent “expulsion” — it was largely a voluntary flight — from Israel, can be found here: “The Two Britains on the Streets of London,” by Paul Birch, European Conservative, May 23, 2026:
Britain is no longer divided by ordinary politics. It has split into two rival nations which loathe each other, obey different moral rules and receive radically different treatment from the state.
Last Saturday’s rival demonstrations in London exposed that divide with unusual clarity. On one side stood ‘Unite The Kingdom,’ the event organised primarily by now-veteran nationalist campaigner Tommy Robinson. At this, thousands of people who are angry about immigration, national decline, and the feeling that their country is being transformed without their consent gathered in order to display their frustration and patriotism.
On the other was another large ‘Nakba Day’ march, part of the now permanent cycle of pro-Palestinian activism that has dominated London’s streets since the Hamas atrocity on October 7, 2023. The Nakba Day event is an annual protest to commemorate the Nakba, which refers to the mass dispossession of Palestinians (as the demonstrators see it) during the 1948 Arab–Israeli war surrounding the establishment of the State of Israel.
Both protests were controversial in their own ways. Both required significant policing. Yet only one was subjected to live facial recognition technology. Only one was treated as a potential security threat before a single banner had even been raised. Only one marched under extraordinary state surveillance. And only one had a number of European speakers denied entry to the UK. I’m sure you can guess which one. The message was impossible to miss. Britain’s establishment no longer simply disagrees with patriotic dissent. It increasingly treats it as dangerous….
Against that backdrop, the policing operation around ‘Unite the Kingdom’ was striking. Thousands of officers, riot units, mounted police, helicopters, reinforcements drafted in from across the country, and the sinister threat to deploy new armoured vehicles in the UK for the first time. The language surrounding the event sounded less like routine crowd control than preparation for some form of domestic insurgency….
But Saturday exposed something deeper than political bias. It revealed a profound moral and class divide. Siobhan Whyte was about to speak at the Unite the Kingdom rally. It will be remembered that Siobhan is the mother of Rhiannon Whyte, the young woman who worked at a migrant hotel and, for her trouble, was stabbed to death with a screwdriver twenty-three times in the head and chest by one of the residents. Shortly before Siobhan Whyte addressed the crowd, activists ‘Led By Donkeys’ projected the slogan ‘Immigration makes Britain brilliant’ onto a giant screen nearby.
These so-called progressives are a distinctly self-satisfied activist group born of middle-class contempt for the 2016 Brexit vote. They regularly congratulate themselves (and so does the mainstream media) for their oh-so-witty stunts. Whatever their intention on this occasion, the effect was grotesque—a smug abstraction about diversity being ‘our strength’ looming over the grief of a bereaved mother.
Shannon Whyte, after all, is a heart-rending example of the cost of migration — in this case, her daughter’s murder — to the people of Britain who do not live and work, as the well-off do, far from the migrants who cause such mayhem among the Infidels and, in Rhiannon Whyte’s case, murder.
The millions of Muslim economic migrants who have come in recent decades to the U.K. did so in order to take advantage of every benefit the generous British welfare state provides: free or greatly subsidized housing, free medical care, free education including language tuition, unemployment benefits even for those who have no record of work in the U.K., family allowances, and more. It is these migrants who are placed in country inns, where they disrupt the peaceful rural villages, and in city hotels, or provided with subsidized housing that is no longer available for the long-suffering poor of Britain. The children of these migrants tax the education system, both through overcrowding of classrooms with the influx of these migrant children, and the chaos the migrant children cause in the classroom through their lack of discipline, bullying of non-Muslim classmates, and refusal to submit to the discipline of teachers who are of course leery of being accused of “racism” and “Islamophobia” for even the mildest attempts at maintaining discipline in the classrooms.
The disaffected citizens of Britain, like those who took part in the Unite The Kingdom rally, need to see that their government no longer vilifies them for their “patriotic anxiety.” Those taking part in such protests should be assured that they will not be subject to much more aggressive policing than those taking part in “Nakba” protest rallies. They want to be able to discuss “multiculturalism” — a code word for the passive acceptance of Islamization of British society — truthfully, openly, and critically. They want respect from their own government, instead of the ill-concealed contempt for them as bigots and know-nothings, simply because the growing number of aggressive Muslims in their midst so alarms them. That is not much to ask.

They can see – or can’t they? – the overwhelming number of Enlgish people protesting their presence in the country, making life miserable for everybody else. And what do they do? Uh no. The Nakba refers to defeat in the attempt to kill every Jew in Israel, an attempt after being offered a “Palestinian” State. The Muslim leadership chose war and told their non-miltary populace to leave while while they slaughtered the Israelis and then return. It was a miracle that Israel survived and it has since survived attacks from all its neighbors.
The Palestinian problem is a choice made by Muslim ancestors, now mostly deceased. Yet the claim of a, “Right to Return”, which really means, “Elimination of Israel”, lingers on among a highly expanded offspring. Jordan is actually a state of the same people on land that was promised to Jews and should have absorbed the “Palestinians” when the population was small.
We have observed that no Muslim nation wants Palestinians after Fatah and Hamas contamination, purposely leaving them as a festering malady upon Israel while the West and Iran funnel support, easily converted to war supplies, to Hamas. The PA is a joke.
The wars against Israel have always been to destroy it, never with the intent for any Jews to remain.
In summary: The Nakba was a miracle for the Jews and a disaster of choice for the “Palestinians”.

Quite clearly Islam is the biggest threat to Britain’s peace and security for many generations. The Muslims will not give us an easy way to oppose and stop them. The sooner we fight wholeheartedly and proudly, the less we will need to fight dirty, even though they of course fight dirty as they have always done. I wish all this were not true, but we know it is. The Islamists have published their intentions, so we have no excuse for not knowing what they are.

However mythical the myth is, it is triumphant. The truth about the displacement of Arabs from Palestine in the late forties can be found in history books, but, the truth about this matter has no popular appeal.
That differently tinted natives were expelled from their homeland by while colonizers who then used violence against them when they attempted to reclaim their rights, plays right into the currently popular religion substitute – that history can be interpreted as mainly a tale of evil white people stealing from, enslaving, and persecuting non-whites, which gives immature and dim-witted people a thrill appropriate to the feelings of a fifteen year old: that you are being righteous as long as you are demonizing everything you come from yourself.
That anyone capable of rational thought can see that this is both specious and dangerous makes no difference. If we ever get past this myth (and perhaps we will never get past it) it will take generations to do so.

One of the ironies about that is that the Church of England, which native Brits presumably are loyal to, is headed by King Charles. Who wants to be known as the “Defender of faiths” as opposed to the “Defender of the faith”. That would include islam as one of those defended faiths, thereby making the Church of England a bad platform to rally around. Maybe just vanilla, non-denominational Christianity?
Prince William is even more uninterested in the Church of England, and while he takes most of his official duties as Prince of Wales seriously, the religious duties is something he’s least interested in. Maybe the Church of England should simply make the Archbishop of Canterbury its head, instead of the king? So, in the Light of the Bible it’s then no surprise that in Islamic countries, the Muslim clerics attempt to discourage the people from reading the Bible, by their words and even owning a Bible, by their actions.
For those Islamic clerics would have no hold or control over the people if they discovered the truth of the sculpture, Bible, Second Timothy 3:16 and the Jesus is the way to heaven, John 14:6.
Furthermore the Bible in First Kings 8:89 teaches that “Only God Knows that thoughts of men” in the Gospel of Mark 2: 8 reveals that Jesus knows the thoughts of men.”
In conclusion, the Bible does reveal to that, Jesus is God and that exposes Islam is false teaching about Jesus and therefore Islam is a false religion of demonic darkness.

A patriotic gathering only manages to get 60,000 people, the same as the capacity of the Emirates Stadium of Arsenal FC in London. Probably every time Arsenal plays home, there are 60,000 people attending the stadion. So, a 60,000 people patriotic gathering is not a big deal at all as the British prefer to entertain themselves with something else like football.

Although I understand very clearly that the main aim of the article is to point out the difference of treatment by the British authorities between the British citizens and the Muslim migrants, I am deeply disappointed with the cavalier approach to the subject of Nakba.
The word “nakba” to describe the consequences of the 1948 War was coined by Dr. Constantin Zureiq, a Syrian historian who taught at the American University of Beirut. In other words: Five Arab armies were unable to defeat about 650,000 Jews/Israelis.
In order to further expand on this particular issue, which I deem historically important, since not all subscribers/readers to Jihadwatch.org might have a comprehensive knowledge of the circumstances of the first Arab?Israeli war. The following might seem too expansive, nevertheless it’s historical context is of primordial importance to undersand the Arab/Israeli conflict.

“The rhetoric of those days left little room for misunderstanding. The Arab armies, it was openly declared, would “drive the Jews into the sea”, talk about genocide. What began was not a defensive war against Israeli expansion, but an attempt to stifle Israel’s existence, three years after Auschwitz… In April 1948, the Arab leadership of Haifa decided to evacuate the city. Not after she had been collectively expelled by force. Not because they no longer had a choice. No: the evacuation was announced as its own decision. What happened next is one of the best documented — and at the same time most carefully concealed — episodes of 1948:
The Jewish mayor of Haifa, Shabtai Levy begged Arab residents to stay. The British commander warned that leaving would be a serious mistake. The highest officer of the Haganah guaranteed full civil rights, security and equality for every Arab who wanted to stay. The answer of the Arab Higher Committee in Beirut was simple: leave!
Even before a major military offensive reached Haifa, Arabs had already left the city. Most of the Arab neighborhoods had hardly been affected by fighting at that time. What really collapsed was not primarily physical safety, but morale. And that morale collapsed because the leadership was the first to flee.
The British High Commissioner Sir Alan Cunningham recorded this in a telegram on 26 April 1948. He described how Arab municipal administrators, military leaders and even the most important Arab magistrate left the city. That, he wrote, was probably the decisive factor in the collapse of Arab morale. When leaders disappear, the population follows.
On April 22, a meeting about a ceasefire took place in the city hall of Haifa. The conditions were clear: full security and civil rights for all Arabs who stayed. Once again, Shabtai Levy pleaded with Arab representatives personally. He called evacuation a cruel crime against their own people. Once again, the British insisted on reconsideration. Once again, the Haganah promised peace and equality. And again the order came from Beirut: leave!
One does not have to rely on Israeli sources for this. The most damning testimonies come from the Arab side itself. The Economist wrote in October 1948 that the departure was largely due to instructions from the Arab Higher Executive Committee, and that Arabs who remained and accepted Jewish protection were considered traitors by their own leaders.
Time reported as early as May 1948 that Arab leaders were encouraging evacuation in the hope of crippling Haifa economically by withdrawing Arab workers.
Emile Ghoury, secretary of the Palestinian-Arab Higher Committee, stated in September 1948 in the Beirut Telegraph that the Arab states had jointly supported the policies that caused the influx of refugees, and therefore bore joint responsibility”.

Last but not least, some a quotes from Amhad Shukeiry, founder of the PLO:
“Prior to the Six Day War, he stated: Throw the Jews into the sea. (Interview
with Lebanese newspaper al-Yawm), “We will endeavor to assist [the Jews] and facilitate
their departure by sea to their countries of origin.” Regarding the fate of Israeli-born Jews, he replied:
“Whoever survives will stay in Filastin, but in my opinion no one will remain alive”.
In 1966, Ahmad Shukairy, then leader of the PLO declared in an interview: “We will force our people
to remain refugees against their will — or else there is no Palestinian cause. The Arab states will
not integrate the Palestine refugees because integration would be a slow process of liquidating of
the Palestine problem. “Consequently. the refugees don’t want to be integrated.” he continued.
“If there are no Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian cause. We can’t conceive of a
Babylonian cause today because there are no Babylonians. But we start from the premise that we
will achieve the liberation of Palestine soon.”… Hamdi Hizrallah, also a representative of the
Palestine Liberation Organization, was at the same interview. He said with great intensity: “I
will tell you something. And I wish you would quote me: If they try to leave. We will stop them,
by force if need be.”

On March 31, 1977 the Dutch newspaper “ Trouw“ published an interview with a Palestinian
leader of the Syrian controlled as-Sa’iqa faction of the PLO: Zuheir Moshen. Moshen stated:
“The Palestinian People does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian State is only for the means
for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is
no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and
tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people. Since Arab
national interest demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose
Zionism.
For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot make claim
to Haifa and Jaffa, Be-er Sheva and Jerusalem. However the moment we reclaim our right to all
of Palestine we will not wait to unite Palestine with Jordan”. End of quote.
The Palestinian fabrication is the most monumental fraud with no precedent in the history of nations.
The success full bluff gained a strong foothold in the media and in the bastions of liberalism, so that no
one doubts it’s authenticity.
Dear Mr Fitzgerald, I am confident that Jihadwatch has more expansive resources resources available than me, nevertheless historical accuracy seems primordial because one will be able to discern more accurately events that now are cluttered and distorted by the noise of the present vents.
At the same time an extensive exposé like this one, might not always be appropriate but can be briefly mentioned.

Multiculturism means the slow death of the nation’s previous culture. In the USA, the practice for well over a century was called ‘the melting pot’ – which adopted immigrants from many countries who chose to come here – and assimilate (gradual adaptation) into America’s ever evolving society. It was not always easily accepted, but over time we have formed a successful pluralistic society.
America’s switch to the identity politics of multiculturism will lead to the situation outlined in this article about ‘Two Britons’.
