Tucker’s NYT interview has received much well-deserved castigation.
But to me, by far the most vile part of the segment which no one is talking about is where he states that Christians and Muslims believe every human has a soul and that innocent civilians shouldn’t be murdered.… pic.twitter.com/R19LDtvdvj

New in PJ Media:
The fact that the New York Times would interview Tucker Carlson in the first place is an indication of how much the former Fox host has gone off the rails. The Times only interviews people who support its far-left worldview, including its endless vilification of Israel for alleged war crimes in Gaza, and Carlson was ready with the goods. In his interview, which was published Saturday, Carlson adopts the pose of a moral philosopher to attack the Jewish state, and Judaism as well, from a new angle:
I think what we’re seeing is evil. Are you allowed to kill people who’ve committed no crime? No. Super simple. You’re not allowed to do that. Under no moral standard is that allowable. All of a sudden it’s allowable in Gaza, and our leaders are like, Yeah, it’s totally fine. It’s not fine. It’s repugnant to the Christian understanding of the world and the human soul. Every person has a soul. That’s the Christian view, and not just the Christian view, it’s the Islamic view, too. And it’s my view.
So you see, his implication here is that while Christians and Muslims believe that everyone has a soul, those wicked Jews do not, and so they don’t hesitate to kill people who have committed no crime in Gaza. Virtually every aspect of this statement is false, and since Carlson still wields massive influence, all the falsehoods must be exposed.
Carlson includes a kernel of truth in his lies and deflections, and that makes them all the more insidious. Like Christianity, Islam does indeed teach that “every person has a soul.” But the Qur’an also teaches that non-Muslims are “like cattle, no, they are worse.” (7:179) It says that non-Muslims are “the most vile of created beings” (98:6), and calls them “the worst of animals” (8:55).
These aren’t mere words, either. The Qur’an also states: “Muhammad is the apostle of Allah. Those who follow him are ruthless to unbelievers, merciful to one another.” (48:29) Ruthless in what way? The Qur’an tells Muslims to “kill them wherever you find them” (2:191, 4:89, 4:91) and, just in case that wasn’t clear enough, adds “kill the idolators wherever you find them” (9:5). This includes pretty much everyone, for in the Qur’anic view, virtually every non-Muslim is an idolater.
Tucker Carlson is speaking as if Christians and Muslims share a moral high ground over against Judaism. Yet it is the Qur’an, and not Judaism, that teaches what Carlson is claiming. There is an idea within Jewish tradition that Jews and non-Jews have different souls, based on the special responsibilities Jews have before God, but this does not involve or lead to the idea that, because of this difference, non-Jews can be killed without scruple or hesitation.
There is more. Read the rest here.

Tucker should quit talking theology altogether. First of all, he belongs to one of the most left-leaning churches – the Episcopalian Church – something he parted company w/ over the latter’s support for Open Borders. After that, he’s woefully ignorant of both islam and Judaism, while making his arguments. Just say that he hates Jews, and leave it at that
Incidentally, I wonder whether the al Thanis are still enamored of him?
somehistory says
tucker doesn’t know Christianity, either. the religion he pretends to follow and represent.
It’s like saying he’s a mighty oak who has hatred for palms and pines. He’s no tree, either, just a thorny noisy bramble without flower or berry.
ploome says
if you wrote a letter to the editor about his interview, would the NYT publish it?
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Write a letter to the editor along the following lines:
NYT will be really conflicted. Do they throw themselves open to charges of islamophobia, or do they publish it? It would be one of their greatest letters ever published by the NYT
Wellington says
Good one, Infidel. Yes, what a puzzlement for the decrepit NYT.
James Lincoln says
Wow!

Brilliant, Infidel!
Wellington says
And to think I once admired this guy.

A lot of conservatives have taken bizarre turns since this war started
Bean🫘 says
Yea, especially personal friends and especially younger people around me.
I will stay friends, because what can we do? They still claim conservatism, but everyone is leaving slowly.
It’s almost like a fad now, it’s chic, it’s popular. But in my eyes , these people are spell bound and won’t listen to basic facts. It’s all strange to me, this past year, it seems like every month another one flips to pro Tucker pro Islamic. And from there, they quickly go into anti semitism.
gravenimage says
Sick stuff. Ah, well, I lived through “radical chic’–the love of thugs like Che and Pol Pota the Black Panthers when I was a kid–so I should not be surprised. Disgusted–but not surprised.

I just completed Humberto Fontova’s book – “Exposing the real Che Guevara – and the Hollywood idiots who idolize him”. I always knew that he was a murderer and probably a sadist (the book confirmed my suspicions there), but it also revealed that he was a dunce when it came to being a tactician or strategist in guerilla warfare

I took have a friend who’s w/ me on most things about Democrats, but she’s also pretty antisemitic – both anti-Jewish and anti-Israel. I simply don’t touch the topic of Jews/Israel whenever I’m talking to her
Keys says
Same here. Could not figure out why Fox got rid of him,
James Lincoln says
Like I said once before:
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa…
Keys says
Amen!
Kepha says
I did, too, but no longer.
Mark Krichever says
No wonder that this uneducated oligophrenic manioc is very angry that he was kicked out of every respectable media organization. The only support he could get is in the sewage of the antisemitic lumpen bottom feeders. Exactly like his friends – biatches and the fascists.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Actually, he wasn’t this deranged when FNC got rid of him. His own channel initially started well, and there were some things he did, like his Putin interview, that were indeed pretty good. As well as his coverage of Moscow (although I think he overdid it by pretending that that was a macrocosm of Russia as a whole, when in fact, every Russian dreams of moving to Moscow). Things started going south after October 7th, when our crack journalist, instead of expressing solidarity w/ Jewish Americans against foreign antisemites, started using that as an opportunity to slam Jewish donors of Academia who are turning on it now but were quiet/supportive of it during the BLM riots. That actually was a legitimate grievance to air, but not at that time
However, since then, he’s morphed into a blind critic of Israel, and in the process, taken w/ him some other major conservative voices. Probably doing irreparable damage to the movement by branding it as a Christian-only movement that has no place for right leaning Jews, Hindus, Buddhists or other non-Christians. This w/o getting into the no-true-scotsman argument of whether being antisemitic is really Christian
James Lincoln says
Infidel,
Tucker Carlson is 56 years old. At that point in life, a huge political transformation is highly unlikely to happen.
Perhaps he always had those horrific thoughts about Israel, Jews, etc., but buried it from the public.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Yeah, Debbie Sclussel said the same thing. She pointed out that back in the day, when she’d appear on Crossfire and Tucker was the host on the Right, he too was anti-Israel on the subject of Israel, so that Debbie was essentially in a 1 vs 3 debate on that panel
I’m not sure about what you say about political transformations. Take me for instance. I’m just a few months older than Tucker, and since 2016, I have changed my political views in a major way. Before 2016, I was one of the classical conservatives – pro-Bush, pro-wars,… Only issue where I was more of a Trump/Perot/Iacocca conservative was on the issue of trade & tariffs, where I used to agree more w/ Dick Gephardt and less w/ Reagan/Bush. After Trump declared his opposition to Muslim immigration in 2015 after the San Bernardino massacre, I switched completely to his stance on the issue of wars, although it theoretically meant less of our taking on islam on their own turf. Afghanistan in particular pretty much showed that that place wouldn’t be deislamized by us, even if we could
So I’m not sure that people are incapable of changing their views, even when middle aged, but I do agree w/ you that that’s not likely the case w/ Tucker
James Lincoln says
Infidel,
Thank you for your reply.
People ARE certainly capable of changing their views, even when middle-aged.
But…
It is usually more incremental, e.g., a person moving from slightly left to a centrist position, or a bread-and-butter Republican becoming MAGA.
But hard-core leftists, for example, rarely become conservative. But that being said, there have been some cases. David Horwitz used to be pretty far left before he became a conservative.
But conservatives almost never become leftists as they get older.
Kepha says
I did, too, but no longer.
LibertyORdeath says
Now he’s an Islamic apologist?
I’m sure he got a sh!load of $$$, but why does he need it at all?
Every f*^king time! Can we ever get political power without immediately attacking each other? These people want us DEAD. Can’t we at least unite on that?
Beanso says
Megyn Kelly just the other day flipped as well. How she “misunderstood “ Islam, and how pro Israel figures are really the issue, and they just fooled us on Islam. She said that.
gravenimage says
More insanity, Beans.
Beans🫘 says
I mean, now it’s like … who’s next?
Maybe Ingram angle feels like she might be the next one? Or maybe even Savage, he’s been getting more critical but I don’t see him praising Islam any time soon… you just don’t know anymore.
Propaganda is real strong from the Islamist crew if they got Tucker Candace Kelly and others. We should learn and apply.
I’m not pro Israel like that to be honest. But the lies and pro Islam forced me to be.
tgusa says
“Christians and Muslims believe every human has a soul and that innocent civilians shouldn’t be murdered”
OK then explain to me the everyday murder of Christians by muslims all around the world. I’m waiting. Tucker cannot think beyond his little safe space podcast bubble.
gravenimage says
Muslims only consider other Muslims of their same sect to be innocent.
tgusa says
“Muslims only consider other Muslims of their same sect to be innocent.
Muslims dont consider other Muslims of any family or sect to be innocent. That is the fun of islam. Who doesn’t want to live in misery or fear of the unpredictable all the time?
tgusa says
“Muslims only consider other Muslims of their same sect to be innocent.”
Not true. Honor killings of the father murdering his daughter are becoming more common. Dads brothers cousins. It is always males killing females but never once that i know of has a male muslim been brought to justice (let alone murdered) as a result of their crimes. With me, they are the lowest of the low. And very sadly, some Western establishment types are following right along.
abu taleb says
Islam is for sure telling to kill non muslims, because they are not muslims. They may use some “fancy” words like the non muslims are preventing muslims going to Mekah or praticing Islam, or spreading evil on the earth,or hostile to Islam, but those words actually applicable to all non muslims, so non muslims should be killed simply because they are not muslims.

The New York Times Interviews Tucker Carlson, and It Gets Worse From There

The NYT has long been sickening–remember their apologia and lies for Stalinist Soviet Union? They are no better today.
